FYI retro, the +empty HP item can be really cool. enemies run when your total HP is 10x their total HP (or 5x with a specific item) so in theory you can pump healing into the guy and force enemies to flee.
Quick tip for fleeing enemies. If you click the ? when the prompt comes if you want to let them flee, you can activate auto-flee so the prompt just doesnt come up anymore.
I’m looking forward to seeing a generate run. It’s probably my favourite game mode because of all the wacky characters you can create. Also, I like renaming my generated characters through clicking on their names in the inventory. It’s just a fun little thing you can do. Not sure if renaming affects letter based items though, lol.
I got a sphere today with a blessing, that made blank sides identical to the middle, so I had a lot of rerolls from that alone, then I added growth to it, and actually went infinite. Though I only had one other cantrip, so closing out fights was a pain. Beat the boss on turn 0.
Equipping the self shield onto the scrapper would've made those steel sides nutty, but this was still a wonderful run. Watching your different runs definitely allows for different perspectives on strategy and builds.
This run shows why this boardgame concept implementation works better as a video game. Imagine the headache associated with tracking all the copied effects. But it is pure dopamine this way. Fun watch! If the Tinder had the Golden cup (+100 max HP), would it come back next round with 50 HP? Or does the "empty" mean that it is not regarded as HP on revive?
Empty is not regarded, correct, though it brings up the interesting scenario where if you revive them _mid-fight_ using the revive face, that _does_ bring them back with full HP. That is actually really interesting and could force enemies to run away very easily.
Could using the Memory item to 'revert changes to the left side' of the Prodigy's dice help to restore the 3 mana single use side every turn? Can it prevent other dice debuffs like petrify or weakness?
Green herocol heroes are honestly pretty awesome but it is QUITE the mixed bag given that they don't have any sort of like, synergy between different levels of the green heroes. At least, not in the traditional sense (i.e. how there's a Cantrip-focused class and the Dabble/Dabbler/Dabblest for all of orange's levels), but it's fine! Kinda weird to me that you need 50 achievements to even access the color, but their variety is REALLY fun so I often like to pick party setups with at least one green.
I hate curses that give mandatory items. I don't mind a single character carrying some penalty that I have to work around, but I _need_ my damn item slots to make the run fun!
I don't know if you already do it on one of your other platforms, but I was wondering if you'd be willing to do a seasonal tier-list of sorts? I enjoy watching you frequently enough when I can, but I don't get a chance to watch all of your videos, especially the many Let's Try series. I know it's hard to rank ones that you don't think you've played far enough to really give it an honest go, but categories like all time favorites, currently engaged in, and recently promising early access / Let's Plays might help with organizing and separating them? If it is anything that you'd be interested in creating for us, but you really dislike picking favorites, then I'm sure the community would have ample suggestions for an outline of scoring criteria to ensure you're giving them a fair assessment. Heck, you could even plan out a time on twitch and people could help with providing arguements for and against certain ones. I think it might even be a cool way to drive engagement to other game series you've done that new members haven't sought out to start yet or to give special attention to smaller devs/studios that are making something you think has real promise.
loving this but I'm bothered by the amount of times he uses Undo when its not even necessary. Not every turn needs to be min maxed, 30 minutes runs are becoming 70+ mins
Well, that's perception. You say it's not necessary, but tinkering with multitudinal possibilities gives you so much information to see unique interactions. Depends on the goal, but I would say it's absolutely necessary for seeing a larger scope of the game. I appreciate that he consistently picking up all his pieces and moving them around into so many different permutations.

I like the added embarrassment towards the enemy about _allowing_ their flee
@@RetromationCan´t blame you for that. Beautiful run btw. Such chaos. Would´ve definitely melted my brain.
@@Retromationunexpected Retro savagery

Item: "Gain ❤for every A in your name."
Me: "Hello, I'm Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa."
I do like how alot of the tier 2s do weird stuff that can potentially make a busted 2 that you would never replace with a 3

I just got the same combo! But Also with the juggler(they died due to themselve)!
I got the mimic for the first time today, was so much fun!
To be fair, every battle against The Hand is won in a "caveman smash man over head with rock" kind of way.
man this game has me hyped. really been enjoying your videos on the new update.
Oh, the statue is a blast from the past. This run was just as wild as the last.
Love the series!! Thank you for all that you do
The double damage on middle was hitting the wanderer, without the auto shield, defy could be doing crazy damage
Caveman love cantrip with 5 keywords
Equipping the self shield onto the scrapper would've made those steel sides nutty, but this was still a wonderful run. Watching your different runs definitely allows for different perspectives on strategy and builds.
The green characters are pretty wild
I dare you to do an easy run with all the 1st level heroes with only 2 sides.
I.e. Lazy, Scoundrel, Prodigy and I don’t remember the other 2
Is it some kind achievement?
Is it some kind of challenge run?
Loving the series
Another amazing run, what a wacky build!
Geeze, well that one was a bit of a brain melter, wow. GG.
I love this channel so much 😄✨

To Make The Series Longer...
let's gooo, always waiting for this

Love that cantrip item got me a first turn win on hexia
Bro you are a god
Prodigy is clearly just a lazy mage :)
Love your content. Perhaps consider changing your name to Redomation while doing Slice & Dice runs. 🤔😉
The green classes are the types of guy who are on restrain order
Letting you know 🎉

You are more than welcome to have 30min losses on your own. Believe it or not I'm interested in the strategy part of the strategy roguelike!
