- A little Rapid somewhere in Tibet… Adrian Mattern, Bren Orton, and Nouria Newman take on a high water run of a humangous rapid on one of the tributary of the infamous Tsangpo river in Tibet during Monsoon. All three sharing simultaneously their high and lows of this unreasonable descent. Come hell or high-water.

This rapid looks super intense. I cannot imagine trying to roll in that. Glad Nouria made it up. Wow!
I loved Bren's perspective that the river gave him what he needed and put him where he needed to be (unlike Adrian's line) and Nouria's comment about being under for 9 seconds and how long it seemed. These are things that are amazing experiences that kayaking provides (provide, deny, time distortion) it doesn't matter if you are a beginner or an amazing professional. Cool clip.
That launch into the sky though, what the heck. So gnarly.
Nah I'm good with class 3 for a while.
I've been in some big rapids, but that looked huge, well done guys and girl, you survived it; just.
She is amazing. That is a woman who needs more attention from the media
When I got started back in the 1950's, I was the only woman on the water. I am so glad to see more and more women out there doing it these days, and I hope that the media do pick up on her so that more and more women will come to this wonderful and rewarding sport, at whatever level they decide to take it. Noria shows that we can do it all.
Bren, that was sick! Just remember, what the river gives, the river takes back! Keep sending mate!
Wow...just Wow, excellent content; the best✊🏻
Dang she is a trooper fr some love honey
Nouria is a beast
A highly skilled beast. She wouldn't be where she is without her world class slalom background.
@@powskier No doubt. Rolling up in that washing machine is....um...not trivial!!!
Big techy water! That's one of the sickest runs I have ever seen!
my deepest respect... amazing ability!!!
Am in awe!!
Sheer courage and bravery to drop into water like that! A relentless unforgiving force!👍
That's some crazy big water paddling.
Bren: you speak my language, just with a more exciting accent!
Adrian: your a beast! Every team needs a German! Mines' name is Heiko and he's a water God like yourself. His accent instills confidence in me in the sketchiest of situations.
Nouria: you have balls the size of watermelons!!!!
♥️ You All!!!
-KK-
Efficient Germans are a must, I have two, on my team Bernt and Felix.
That is what I call Kayaking. Yeee - haw!
Richtig geil 👍👍👍
Hey Nouria i love you mahn ❤️ You're LEGEND 💯
One humans fear is another's passion
Вы просто супер!)
Nouria’s got the biggest balls I ever seen 😱😂😂👍
Wow - uncanny athletes to say the least. So explosive, huge and monstrous, despite a lifetime on whitewater myself, I can't imagine having the skill and fortitude to run that shit. Amazing!
Да вода просто огонь, ваш риск оправдывает только результат и полученный адреналин.
대박!!!
멋짐!
Wow looks like fun
sweet jump
I feel like im in those rapids when i land in the surf😂😂🤙🏽✌🏽
Hard Chargers, all three for sure. Way to not give in to the temptation to pull your skirt and eventually right your kayak Nouria.
My Goodness...how wicked..
You lot are a different breed
this seems like the big wave surfing equivalent of kayaking
Free Tibet
Send it!
💪Brave
Damn!
Dude holly shit!
What would the consequences of wet exiting in a rapid like this be? It looks like it goes on a for a while, seems like it would be impossible to get to shore and you would get just get pummeled to exhaustion.
Certain Death. You would never wet exit on a river like this bro... Better to stay with your boat no matter what. That's the mindset here so your question is irrelevant. The answer is they wouldn't.
@@jamieharr4459 I've seen videos were experienced kayakers flip and the force of turbulent water rips them out of their kayak before they have a chance to roll. I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to whitewater but kayaking giant rivers at flood stage seems incredibly dangerous to me.
Why no visor?
Little rapid hu? That looks scary and fun as shit never done it but want too.
Noria sounds like hanna from the Amazon series
what class are these. 5 or 6?
balls of steel :o
Wow
There arent many rapids that are like a hard no for me but as of right now thats a hard nope
👍
Bren says “where is Nouria?”
What are these class 12 or what? :) This stuff looks insane!
"But it was a cool rapid too"
You go Noria!!!! Show then that women can do this sport too!
What I want to know is what percentage of that rapid was water, and what percentage was air? I mean it looks like a giant toilet flushing... All foam!
So risky in flooded River.
🚣
Is this at flood? Bank vegetation nakes it looks like just normal-ish water level
@@liamhurlburt9794 better word 💬 would be "aggressive River".
🌊 🚣
O, shit!
less talk more footy
😲
Wow, Ill stick with fighting Bears, Tigers, and riding dirt bikes. Yieks
Wahnsinn 😱
Every morning I see flood coming In my toilet..
Ho Lee Cheese and Rice!! My kayak smells like poo and I don't own one.
Looks like the Stikine on steroids!
Un truc qui peut vous servir. Lorsque l on croit ne plus avoir d air on a comme une poche qui s ouvre et qui vous laisse 40 secondes environ en plus.
Un truc de kayakiste de l extrême et que j'ai expérimenté aussi
What elevation? When i was in bhutan it was harder to hold my breath on rolls.
Elevation: 3700m
Kayaker bukit
Totally love seeing Nouria, such a happy spirit. However, this feels way too unsustainable, please, for the love of life, just make videos running a little less daunting rivers. No matter what rivers you run, you have earned 100% respect already. No need to proof anything more.
They're not doing it to prove anything, they just enjoy kayaking big hard stuff and are good enough to do it!
I don't know her exact intentions, it's even hard too really know your own ones, but it is known to be quite common for women in sports to try to prove something. It would just be a shame if that was the case for her as she already has shown how capable she is.
But hey, I don't want to belittle her, I just wanted to let her know that for me as a viewer, less extreme rivers would be more fun to look at.
1st
They do this because they have no one they love and no one that loves them. They have the freedom to not care if they die. If they they did love someone, they wouldn't do this. Know what Love really means before you respond with a stupid answer.
Can't stand this 'somewhere in Tibet' nonsense. God, just say where it is, as you would any other place. Looks like the Po Tsangpo or somewhere else in Nyingchi/ Bomi region.
Wow
