    I wanted to do a proper test, like creating 3d objects, putting some extra polygons, apply textures etc. But I don't have any experience with these tools 😭
    What I could do was to open sample projects then see if it works fine.

      Incidentally it's pink because the material hasn't been attached properly so it doesn't know how to render the surface, so it defaults. Many apps do this tbh

      He doesn't knows how to use that features. He clarifies it at the beginning. He isn't an architect or engineer. I'm architect and by far autocad is on a point that almost even a basic system can run it easily. The program code is very light right now. The m1 doesn't have any problem running autocad. But for us architects the real deal is rendering and modeling complex scenes. The m1 is also capable of up to certain level of complexity because this processor works as single threaded one and real complex scenes needs multi threaded work flows. One light is easy up to 6(for each core) far from that the system will star struggling. You need to be clear of what kind of work you will be doing as architect... for autocad and planing only this system is perfect but if you also create your own models and complex renderings even editing those complex renderings in photoshop the system could do that but very slow because it isn't designed for that heavy tasks even the pro m1 struggled on some advanced editing... maybe wait for the second version m2 or the m1 pro on the upcoming macbooks that will feature at least 12 cores and for sure more improved graphic unit to handle huge work flows and tasks

    I tried all the files on my PC with ryzen 3900X processor
    All files run much smoother especially for the blender tests without any lag even when animations are working
    And I tried the same tests on a laptop with an i7 processor 8 gen and it gave the same performance as the m1 in some tests and better in others, especially a blender, possibly because it has an external graphics card 1050ti

      Bro..I need your help.Have you tested the same file on m1 mac? I bought a 3900x, rtx3070, 32gb 3200mhz, 1tb nvme system about one month back. Now after seeing lot of mac m1 videos with 4k smooth editing, i am about to sell my new 2250usd computer for the 1000usd mini m1. Do you think it's a wise decision? I use premiere, maya, resolve, after effects, photoshop, lumion etc

    • @NexTe4es
      @NexTe4es 3 роки тому +3

      @@atf56 No no do not believe everything that is said about M1. I use all of these programs. M1 might be better in video editing because it has newer codecs, but it is not faster in terms of Render, especially on Adobe Premiere, after effects. As for Maya and After Effects, for sure 3900x with rtx3070 is much better because After Effects, for example, has the ability to use all 3900x cores, 3900x outperformed the m1 by 58% multitasking
      As for lumion, it is Windows-based software, and I do not think that the m1 is able to work with it mainly because it depends on the graphics card and you own the rtx3070

Alternatively support may arrive when Windows for ARM eventually gets support for 64 bit applications but currently it’s painfully slow and only in the insider build.

    i actually rewind back twice whether you cut the video when you run the autocad program, turns out its not. with such big file, able to scroll albeit bit laggy, i bet the m1 could handle any project. p.s, draw a big shape, insert hatch,it’ll make any machine lag like hell 🤣

    what about Solidworks?

    • @c0pist
      @c0pist  3 роки тому +1

      Solidworks needs Windows, and M1 Mac can't install Windows yet. You can temporarily use Preview version of Parallels & Windows for Arm, but I still can't guarantee if Solidworks will be fully functional.
