Dude I just bought this for my 11-year-old daughter and wasn’t sure about it ,, it’s on its way and I was getting nervous but after watching this she’s gonna love it ,, thanks
@5:30 as a welder I'm like "Damn! Look at all that angle iron! Score!!" 🤣🤣🤣 thank you for the review! I'm gonna pick one up next week for the kids! Super excited!!
Awesome. Remember on the last video how we were discussing flying drones and getting aerial footage I'm going to be posting footage of my hometown Jacksonville Alabama where the tornadoes came through soon.
I have a decked out kt196 with lights and straight pipe exaust and I took out the speed restricting screw so now it goes about 40- 50 mph... It works pretty good and I rolled it once and all that happened was the steering balljoint came off. Easy fix! Despite that some genius put the torque converter on backwards and sore backs from stiff front suspension I am glad I got this and not pugly go kart! Ive had this for 7 months and I am satisfied with my purchase.
@@deepdirtrecords6729 I had to make an adapter for the motor mount, since the mounting holes on 420 and 440s are different width from the 196 and 212 engines, and it wasn't necessary but we had to machine a longer driven shaft for the driven side of the torque converter, and aside from that we only had to get a 40 series tav and wire it all up, if you're looking for minimum modification possible I'd just go for a fully built 212 or 225
Love your stuff bud. Mainly your builds because you do like I do. Off the cuff. Hell with sketchup. My intent though is to build a big boy toy, more of a dune buggy than a gocart. But I never fabricated before which is why I enjoy watching you so much.
Got my daughter one this year for Christmas from tractor supply. Broke 10 min into her first ride. Torque converter primary drive somehow flew apart. Took the cover off and and the bolt, weight with springs, and part of pulley just fell out onto the ground
Make sure not to use a impact on the wheel nut. Usually there is bearings on either side of the axle and it over tighten them is will wreck them. Hence the cotter pin. I would tighten until there is some slight resistance turning the wheel then back off on notch. Or just lightly tighten like Red Beard did. Looser is almost better. I usually just hand tighten mine.
It's a splined shaft with a shoulder. The bearings won't be affected by overtightening the nut. But there's no need to go more than 1/4 turn past snug. The cotter pin holds the castle nut in place.
My little brother had one and i didn't hesitate to jump in and im 320lbs. With my nephew who was probably 70 to 80lbs at the time, with removal of the throttle screw, plenty of power.
So your work bench in the backround.... Did you used to work for a Ford Dealership? I have the -same- thing that was an old Display system from before they remodeled our store like 5 years ago and I turned it into a work bench too.. I like what you did with it!
I bought the same go kart at Walmart after Christmas for 50 % off down in SW Florida and did some carb adjustments and man this this is bad ass for $550 Bucks Lol
Hey what is the piece called that the motor sits on. It also connects to the the big pulley on the clutch. The piece that lets you adjust the motor up or down to tighten the chain... Help please
have you ever left the gov on and just zip tied the gov spring till you get the right gov speed? i worked at a go kart track for yrs and that how we did it. that is how i did it on my 16 hp vanguard golf cart too .
My gfs son has one like that and he loves it. Rides it all the time at the woods behind our house. And go trail riding with me and gf. And his older siblings who have bigger ones. We ride in the racer. Which is really fast top speed is 75. But has low gear for trail riding. The gf loves the stereo on it.
Mines having a lot of clutch problems front right ball joint snapped 2 and seat broke and wears out way to fast my torque converter just shot off today not gonna call it junk but it’s disappointing how many problems I’ve had
You should find an old rzr 800cc motor and build a buggy with a 4 wheeler suspension but wider for the kids who want to do more than ride around in their yard but don’t have the money for a rzr or a four wheeler just thought i would throw this idea out there. I love your videos and keep up the good work.
I have the coleman kt 100, had a 96cc on it, I put a 208cc on it, extented the frame by 4 inches, no torque converter though, it rips. Got it up to 45mph on flats.
I had one of those two problems the steering was squirrely at top end if you were on the road and it had to chain drives on it which was weird one of the chains was not adjustable when it got loose. It didn't leave you room to put a bigger sprocket on it either.
Hey Red Beard, want something different to think about? Ever think of using an air handler (from a HVAC) to make a hover craft? They spin so easily, you could use a small engine to power it and put a separate engine/prop/rudder for directional propulsion.

We also have a trailmaster 150 xrs with the exhaust and intake done on it that hauls buttox.its a lot like your Zircon . Anyways awesome job as usual bud . By the way Lonnie’s “ bunny hops” over the driveway weren’t much more than yours bro . LOL
I just got my son one of these for his birthday and its brand spanking new and only paid $100 for it. They said it had less than an hour of use. They're a great little gocart.

Doh! picked one up and in 3 weeks the upper bearing seems to have seized up already. the sprocket to the jackshaft is locked while everything else jiggles. I contacted Coleman today to see if they honor anything. as far as fixing the flaw, I'm thinking of ordering 2 more of the drive spindles from the drive shaft and bolting them onto the axle in hopes to space it enough to bypass the jackshaft and be direct chain to CVT.

Got one for my daughter. I've been looking to try and build it up and put some lights on it. Can't wait to wait what you guys do to it!!!
Thats an awesome little kart! Now stick the 670 on it!
They did all that work on the Duromax 7hp. They could have done that
The great thing about this go-kart is they send you enough metal to build another one with the frame for the Box
