As a German I must concur with the fact that Max is the very best driver for years now and absolutely among the top 5 of best drivers in history. That mainly British generally cannot stand him, says something about them and nothing about the genius of Verstappen.
Absolutely, Max Verstappen's dominance is undeniable, and his results speak for themselves. Coulthard's remarks, however, bring a fresh perspective on how personality and regional bias can influence opinions. Is this really just a debate 'only in England,' or does it highlight how the global F1 community views champions differently depending on their style and persona? What’s your take on this?

Max has no real competition. Even in a slower car he knows how to win. People often say that a fast car makes you a champion. Now look at Max and you see that in the end the talent that Max has is decisive.
Max Verstappen's ability to secure victories, even when not in the fastest car, underscores his exceptional talent and racecraft. His performance at the 2022 Hungarian Grand Prix, where he won after starting 10th on the grid and overcoming a mid-race spin, is a testament to his skill. While a fast car is advantageous, Verstappen's consistent success highlights that driver talent remains a decisive factor in Formula 1

“…belief polarization and polarization effect, is a phenomenon in which a disagreement becomes more extreme as the different parties consider evidence on the issue.” Don’t forget that Max is Dutch. The Dutch say it as it is and more often it is as they say. That’s not polarizing, they just don’t do b*llsh*t, not like the English, who are politely beating around the bush, hoping the other will understand what they mean. Save yourself and others a lot of time and say what you mean. And don’t call Verstappen a bad driver, because in doing so you’re disqualifying Senna, Schumacher, Hakinen, Vettel, Alonso, Hamilton and many other great racers.
We Dutch fans have seen his potential for years and have clashed with mainly Lewis Hamilton fans and other fans. We see him as a Dutch hero and his character we recognise as very Dutch. What he says is exactly what we think. Ok we are not known for beating around the bush or good manners and are seen by some as too direct but we say what we mean and mean what we say unlike many others. Back in the day Max had to do a lot of wet laps in karting. It pays off in wet races, where car performance is less important aswell.. As a Dutch fan I have to say probably Max dominance is something from the past. Before Brasil he didn’t win 10 races in a row. It’s a miracle he still becomes WC, thanks to a lot of point finishes and a good season start. Next season we will see an agressive Max and that he will cause some action on the track for sure. But hey, it’s a lot better like this as we compare this F1 with Schumi or Ham dominance. Norris has a good chance become WC 2025. Cheers 🍻

Thanks for sharing your opinion! Max’s talent and dominance are undeniable, and his fans have every reason to celebrate his incredible performances. Ayrton Senna's legacy as a brilliant and humble driver is unparalleled. His combination of skill and character set a standard in Formula 1. While comparisons are often made to highlight different driving styles and personalities, it's important to recognize that each driver brings a unique approach to the sport. Senna's humility and brilliance continue to inspire fans and drivers alike
Not arrogant??? He threatened Hakkinen when he was faster, pushed Irvine after the race, when Irvine unlapped himself. De Bruin, a Dutch driver, was faster than Senna in his karting days and Senna was pissed on him.
Max is not arrogant. People (aka British) can’t handle his brilliance. He is far better than Hamilton and that is hard on many. Plus; they can’t handle his Dutch directness.
