@@forgottenone540 Go there with a good attitude and ready to adapt to a whole new world and you will be fine. You will probably not like it so much but it gets easier as time goes. A time that I look back at now and am grateful for the memories. It will turn your life around for the good 👍 the staff are truly there to help you.
I know it’s hard but in the meantime maybe do other activities where you can meet more positive friends. Join a sport or club or something at school or even a youth group or something. Once you meet a different type of people then you can slowly break away from your old friends: my mom always told me your judged by the company you keep. You can do it! Also I think it’s awesome that at least your self aware that they are bad people. Some people don’t even realize they yet or admit things like that right away. They shows your a smart person.
Class 15 wolf pack 2008 graduate. Now specialist in the FL Army National Guard. Wouldn’t be here today in army greens if it wasn’t for the education and values I learned at FLYCA. It set me up for success when I went off to basic training. Now given what flyca is today has softened up a lot since I last went. It was very much more like basic training, todays society they have to be more gentle. Because individuals have feelings now a days lol. But non the less this institution is what a teen needs that did not finish high school to get them on the right track. It will be an experience they will never forget
That’s not true, I graduated that program and it’s not only for teens who are troubled so make sure your facts are correct. Many teens go there because of getting bullied and harassed at public schools.
Its a place for dropouts and ppl who break the law I was there in 2015 it was fun but you shouldn go there if you get bullied💀 learn how to stand up for yourself first
The thing i'm wondering is i'm not a troubled teen in the slightest i've never had any history of being around the "wrong crowd" i truly came here for better physical ammends, emotional help, cause many ways my life has gone on was a massive wish-a-wash around my whole life mostly (alot of moving places, etc.) so my question is why would they try teaching me how to wash clothes, do dishes, fold clothes, etc. I already know how to do all of that and more
I absolutely love this, my six-year-old is out of control but it might be our parenting so we’re trying something different but we showed him this video to let him know if he can’t listen to us when he turns 16 this is where he will be going and he busted out in the tears but honestly I think the school is a lifesaver for a lot of children, my daughter was born in Green Cove Springs which is by Stark and there’s nothing to do for the children out there so the fact that there’s a lot of trouble teens isn’t a surprise I just wish they would except more than 200 because what about all the other traveled one sec really use the help
That's cool to see that. I graduated from flyca in 2003 class 4. Really appreciative for all the staff there and all they do.
I’m in tears this is amazing.
How did it help you? Was it positive? My son leaves me next month. He's not a bad kid. But he is struggling with school.
I’m going next year what’s your advice I’m kinda scared
