Xbox one x still an impressive bit of kit. But yeah the mid gen systems are in a bit of a weird dilemma. They got enough power gpu wise to hang with the new consoles but putting games on there means putting on the original Xbox and PS4 as well. Hence why both midgens are discontinued which is a shame as they clearly still have more to offer.

Matt was right. This game was made for last gen and scaled up. They started making it a year before Far Cry 5 even launched. Far Cry 5 came out April 2018 so Far Cry 6 was in development in 2017.
Hopefully Far Cry 7 will be built solely for current gen systems.

I guess what he meant to say is that SSD assists with delivering assets quickly and frames don't drop during loading. Bit cumbersome but most got it I think
Blurry, muddy, sharp. Very technical.
So.. XSX has much higher resolution, in fact only XSX delivers 4K, while PS5 delivers 1800p max.
Frame drops on both, but worse fps again drops on PS5..
so its not something wrong on my ps5 if it frame drops and stutters for me?

@@blaylock1977 but it works even without the native support. If you read the artical, the doesn't have to be optimised for Dolby Vision. It just makes Dolby Vision better a bit with the optimisation

No ray tracing on consoles really took me by surprise and dynamic 4k on consoles looks worse compared to fsr 4k on pc ubishit really downgraded it on ps 5 and sx just for the sake of 60 fps

@@fungusamongus9686 very true. I can't believe it's nearly been a year and you still can't find one, this has never happened before! I lucked out with Amazon for my Series X and paid big bucks on Ebay for my PS5. I couldn't take it anymore, I was sick of waiting so I spent the money to have it now! It was horrible going to stores and seeing the display with the consoles behind the glass knowing that you couldn't buy one. This Christmas is going to be rough.
Is the weather/time of day the same? Because PS5 looks a lot more windy on grass and trees also more cloudy. But the PS5 does look lively. But you guys should compare pop ins to see if it makes a big difference from HDD to SSD

Frankly you dont need to worry about the console just grab pc smash a gtx 1660 to out play the last gen consoles but if you want next gen experience like RT then buy an rtx 3060 and you are good to go

@@jamesmarshall3724 Xbox has a great selection on Game Pass and EA play. And you download them right to the hard drive rather than streaming them like on PS Now, which needs VERY good internet connection to stream games with no issues. I tried the PSNow test with my internet (60MBps) and it said I was fine, but the games ran at lower resolution. Like noticeably lower. And stuttered. PlayStation exclusives like Zero Dawn and Ghost of Tsushima are _amazing_ though.
I have both I can't choose, you really cannot go wrong with either one.

Why not 1080p 60 fps mode in xbox one x?
The Jaguar cpu found in the X would not be able to handle it. It`s bottlenecking the One X GPU heavily. It was already an outdated cpu when the Xbox one launched back in 2013 and still both Sony and Microsoft opted to go on with it. Now we finally have great CPUs in the new consoles that can allow the GPUs to actually push 60 fps.
CPU bottlenecked to death. It never can do it for open worlds like Far cry and Assassin's creed.

Gráficamente la PS5 es mucho mejor ... pero en general se cae de la optimización ... a veces un juego tiene más fps en uno, a veces en otro ... y lo mismo ocurre con los gráficos ... Pero la PS5 destaca por los juegos

This is almost certainly a title made for PS4 and Xbox. The Next gen consoles and PC are treated to the more enhanced experiance of course. You can't scale the design without first highlighting HDD and CPU limitation however you can easily scale resolution, shadow & texture quality, LODS and performance etc upwards. Nothing in this game was made to utilise "next-gen hardware".
Getting on PS4 and I don't mind the visuals. Atleast I'll have the free upgrade whenever I do get a PS5.
I'm more worried about performance on my ps4 slim. I hope we don't get cyberpunk level crashes and bugs

I dont think so. This is basically Far Cry 5 but a little better. The work is on the map ,that is huge, and storytelling.

We all know that the current-gen consoles were going to look great. But I'm genuinely shocked at how good is thing looks on the Xbox One S. I was fully expecting the game to barely be playable at 720p. As an Xbox one X owner tho, I'm happy with 1440p+ 30 FPS.

Haha, yeah, just play the game how you wanna play it, that's our mantra! We just try to provide a buying guide for people that own multiple platforms (like us!). Games over console allegiances every day of the week
@@Resero definitely. I play on both consoles as well so I always have the decision of which to go with for third party titles. Some seem to be better on XBox, some on PS5, and this one looks about the same on both. Or if there is any difference I can’t tell. I appreciate channels like this though as I do rely on comparison videos each time I have a choice of which console to play on. I had initially planned on going XBox here, as I play Far Cry on XBox mostly, but I’ve been playing Returnal and Rift Apart lately and have been into the haptics, so went with PS5 and hopefully the haptics here are at least competent.

I bought it for the ps5 for the duelsense features but realized that it's blurry asf on the 5, although the controller has nice features for this game, I went and bought it for my Series X and to my eyes it's a whole different experience! I should've got it on the S/X first..
Did you get the HD setting right on ps5? With me it looks very pretty on ps5 on my 4k TV.

You and the vast majority of people who are on an Xbox console. Given how difficult it is to buy the current generation consoles, I predict that you will be in good company for at least another year or so. Xbox one X here myself.

I never really took into account how much better the ps4 pro is, than just the normal ps4. When I bought the pro I thought the only advantage was more storage. Cool to see it still putting out decent graphics on games.
Yeah the better gpu and overclocked jaguar cpu helps a bit. Shame they discontinued it but I understand.

Series S should start getting a quality option in games for steady 30fps combined with One X enhancements. I mean it will eventually start stay behind Series X regarding the performance on newer more demanding games.

But what you said about it staying behind series x is really the sad and simple truth. In a couple years games are probably gonna go down to like 720p or 900p just like last gen

Why would you want to play at 30 fps anyways? I'd much rather have 1440p - 1080p at 60 fps than 4K at 30 fps any day. No debate.
The draw distance is way better on series x
On PS5 they intentionally make the weather not so good to hide the draw distance

@@baharv4575 I observed this on my own, PS5 lacking power uses some form of fuzz to reduce the amount of power needed. In far cry, they use it to hide the fact that they can't show detail as far as series x can. And they disguise it as not so good weather
Have you seen the PS5 exclusives vs Xbox exclusives? That's the real measuring stick. Microsoft has money. I am sure they pay to get a little more on games that appear on both consoles. PS5 exclusives are far more impressive than Xbox exclusives. Deathloop and Racthet and Clank have impressive draw distance and detail!

Yeah, they definitely won't and can't drop support for the Xbox One consoles one by one, it's either on Xbox One or it isn't, which puts them in a predicament. The One, One S and PS4 are on their last legs, but the Pro and One X have years of life left in them, so yeah, very weird situation that might get messy in the months and years to come (just like Cyberpunk!)
PlayStation is ready to drop the ps4 as well seeing that death loop is a PS5 exclusive
at least cross-gen games nowadays aren't capped in the past generation as they were in the days of PS3 and Xbox 360 for PS4 and Xbox One, nowadays in most of these cross-gen games the difference they are just resolution and performance practically.

series x is better because the ps5 dont run in "real" native 4k . Its a upscaled 2k console . Both are good but series x ist a way more powerfull

I have this game for my xbox series x it's looks great graphically compared to how it looks on my buddies ps5.
Real nice on series x, only issues I’ve noticed are stuttering during pretty much all cutscenes. Other than that it’s been mint!

They said cutscenes only run on 30FPS. Also do you notice that if Anton Castillo is on thr cutscene, the graphics look like last gen?

I played this on an original Xbox One last night and I'm still impressed on the visuals and game play. The console does heat up a little more at the top but played the game with no issues and interruptions.
Thats reassuring coz I heard it aint so good on last gen.
My original xbox one crashes on every game. And disconects from the wifi randomly. Any help. I recon its the DDR3 ram 🤣

Xbox looks crisp, I love it. I’m playing Far Cry on my PS5 and I was getting a bit annoyed with the colors, which is why I looked up this video. I have a Sony Bravia that usually looks gorgeous, maybe it’s just Far Cry 😢
If I am not mistaken, on the PS5 the colors looks washed out instead on the Series X.

Ive compared the series s to my one x and the series s looks far better to me. Idk if its to do with just the 60fps itself of not but yea. Feels and looks pretty wonderful.
I can see a slight drop in resolution coming from One X to Series S, but it's not too dramatic a difference. The smoother framerate and much faster loading time on the Series S more than make up for the lesser graphics power.
This didnt help me decide which version to get lol

Thats bc Xbone X is capped at 30 fps. Series S version is at 60 fps so they have to drop resolution
@@tanisyuki no doubt yea but I'd rather play at 30fps with superior graphics than at 60fps with compromises. They should have put the One X gpu in the Series S to have the best of both worlds. It has to be a cost issue.

If they also gave the series s version 30fps it would probably look about the same as the one x with slightly better performance because of the better CPU and rdna 2 features.

I can't get them either. It's so frustrating. I recently got the Series S, since you can actually get one of those, and it doesn't look quite as good as the One X, but it runs smoother and games load 3 times faster. It'll tide me over until I can find a Series X or PS5.
Just Never give up. After about a year of looking and staying up late to check when the websites get a restock i finally got a series x. Only problem is its too fat to fit in my tv cabinet and i dont have a 4k tv.

I bought it on series x and ps5 too ! On ps5 even the cutscenes , movies are full of screen tearing and frame drops ! Series X has no issues, rarely when the action gets hot some rare frame drops! On xbox though I’m experiencing audio problems , ps5 audio is much better! I think it may have something to do with the dolby atmos app on xbox

03:09 / 04:30 Guess i made the right decision buying Series X version instead of PS5, looks slightly sharper with higher draw distance imho (not hating, i'd always pick Sony over MS for their excellent exclusives and nostalgic attachment if i had to decide...)
Well it is the strongest console of the two but weather could have also played a factor in draw distance.
It looks like the ps5 version had fog at the moment, like weather related fog not graphics limitations.
PS5 has sharper reflections and series X has very slightly better resolution on average apparently. Nothing to choose between them. Looks a fairly dated game engine tho to be honest.

PS5 has MUCH MORE realistic weather effects - why didn't anyone mentioned it? You can clearly see it on this video! And also PS5 has sharper reflections. Everyone talking about "higher resolution" on SX 🤦🏻♂️

I just started playing this game on my PS4 Pro and I think the graphics look like garbage. I feel like I am playing a PS3 game. I don't understand this because Far Cry 5 looked way better on PS4 Pro than this newer game. I think they focused on the newer consoles and gave us something crappy.

The PS5 version is suppose to have a texture pack that can be downloaded, was that tested and do u know if series X will have the same.
Yes! My apologies, should have mentioned that! But yes, the HD textures pack was installed and is available for both versions to download ahead of launch - it's a pretty big download, so bear that in mind!
