    Super videos!! Really enjoy watching them, try to pick up as much as possible🎣 I’m new to Salmon Fishing (Atlantic Salmon) I’ve fished for Silver Salmon and Steelhead but not for the most Beautiful of all Salmon👍
    Looking forward to my first trip to Norway ( next year or so )
    But there’s so many Rivers to choose from🙈
    Give me a tip on a good River for a First trip to Norway, not too Big, Salmon don’t have to be huge, just a nice little River for a Beginner Atlantic Salmon Flyfisherman🎣
    The World is small, maybe one day we‘ll meet on a Norwegen Salmon Stream and I’ll Brew you a Good cup of Coffee👍 like me you seem to value a Good Coffee😉
    Tight lines and Stay Safe!!

      Hi, Thank you very much! I would recommend a river called Storelva in Osenvassdraget. License can be bought at Elveguiden.no :) spent some time in that river my self this year and I
      really found the river interesting:) other than that, Orkla is a safe bet ;)

      I always like to think that I’m going to catch something, but swinging my Fly through the River and Breathing the crispy Air is also satisfying!!

      @@SalmonfishingNorway thank you I was a bit afraid to use that one, I thought it may easily break on the compline, if you use that one I have trust that is will be okay, tusen takk!

    Hei og tusen takk for fine Filmer. Hva er Pointet med å si Deiiili' for hvert 30. sekund? Brdr. Neteland har brukt det opp for leeeenge siden.
    Hvilken Lengde anbefaler du på orginallina til LTS 14' Complete Graphene og original line, men da med en vekt som kan Rulle og ikke Falle i kastet..? Skagit tip. PM meg om du er grei.

    It's interesting how top fly patterns from Norway, have nothing in common with fly patterns top anglers use here in Lithuania for the Baltic salmon.

    • @SalmonfishingNorway
      @SalmonfishingNorway  8 місяців тому

      That is very interesting. I know that is the case for America and Denmark too, where they often use quite different patterns than what we use in Norway. What are the top patterns in Lithuania?

      Our season is very late and the distance to fishing grounds before spawning is one of the longest in Europe so most fish are coloured. Compared to Norvegian rivers I see in videos and from stories of my friends who fish in Lakselva, Reparfjordelva and over northern Norvegian rivers our water and current debit are more slow. Water is hotter. Dominant fly patterns are variuos "den Vanliga", "Pathagoorva" mixes and intepretations. Red butt's. Double's size #10-#6. Tubes wing length 3-6cm. Flash is not very dominant. Wings mainly made from soft material either Fox tail, Tanuki, Finnracoon. Long winged flies as sunray shadows, samurai's, or monkey is not popular at all according to sales (I work in a local fly shop) and top local anglers also not use them because lack of succes. Irish style shrimps with hard tails tied from buctail also have very low popularity. During autumn season green/chartreuse flies as green highlander also almost never used succesfully. P.S. Red frances had huge popularity few years ago both double hook or tube. But in small sizes.

      @@Arvydas_M all the flies you listed is also very commonly used here in Norway :) but it’s interesting that green is not much used in your rivers, while both here and in Scotland, green is quite commonly used also in relatively brown rivers. Also interesting to hear that shrimp flies is not used by many. I love shrimp flies 😄

    • @SalmonfishingNorway
      @SalmonfishingNorway  2 роки тому

      My tying skills are quite clumsy, that’s also why my flies are not the most beautiful.. but they seems to work well for the salmon anyway 😀 I will have it in mind👍
