  • Hello skaters! Welcome to my new series “Adults who became Skaters”.
I am a skater who became an adult but this series is for adults who became skaters. What does that mean? I started as a young child and learned how to fall and skate before even knew what I was doing. This is very different then an adult that picked up skating over 18. There are things that are noticeable that true adult skaters do and it break their flow. I’m going to help you fix it! I’m doing this series for a coaches eye and what I have heard from judges over the year. You won’t believe how many times I hear this from an adult student. “How can I not look like an adult skater?” Truth be told I think you shouldn’t not try to not look like an adult skater. But we can make you the best adult skater you can be! We can smooth out some of those common body positions adults tend to do.
    Here’s a background on me.
I’ve been a coach for 17 years and a skating director for 3. I started competing at age 8. Started with single skating then switched to pairs. I still compete in the adult masters levels in pairs, singles and showcase.
I’m excited to meet you all!

Thank you! It's about time a coach acknowledged the fact that adults can be identified by their stroking style and their crossovers.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you....☺️

Sounds amazing, as an adult skater (mostly training without a coach) I appreciate any help! :-)
