    They got traumatized in the scrim phases that they became wary of them more and more until the tourney day.
    They (each team) played very carefully.

      Not only carefully.... They prepared every situation in case aqua was there.
      You could actually feel the atmosphere of each team that they know they have to get stronger to counter aqua. Team play, reaching solo masters, even actually talking about the aqua threat in their streams to show how they respected her.

      Just the presence of startend made the lobby extra vigilant about their surroundings, Aqua alone made some of the higher end players play differently and closer to their teams that they usually would, nobody wanted to risk meeting the Mad Dog alone

      Remember astel? When kuzuha said he literally saw mad maggie alone that alive? Ibrahim call him back. More like regroup to certain location and kuzuha said thanks for that call back.
      I guess those solo master and predator really hit different if engage against them. Either fight as a team or run away if met that solo master or predator player unless if their team got one guy that solo master/predator.
      Ngl most of team will be very wary since all clip and battle of Aqua literally destroy anyone. So they had to think alot of worst situation if encounter and get ready on before and actual tournamen.

    They would have been deadly if they had a coach or mentor. Majority of the times they died were from poor positioning or being too slow at moving which left them no choice but to end up in a spot where multiple teams were looking at.
    But I can understand why Aqua didn't want a coach. I don't think she's even collab'd with Towa directly before and she's not great with new people so having a coach would be an additional hurdle to get over as well as getting used to customs and not playing as a solo pub star.

    • @jotainkiva
      @jotainkiva 2 роки тому +39

      I agree, and if they had more time together and to find a coach(maybe a female one would make it easier for Aqua) so that she could get used to it, they would have done a lot better. But knowing Aqua, she might need 3-4 or more months for this. And all 3 of them have been quite busy the past 3-4 months, so it would have been impossible anyways.
      I do hope they can get together for another tournament with a lot more prep time. And with how good Aqua's relationship with Towa and Suisei is now, getting a coach might be a slight possibility.
      I had so much fun cheering them on and have now started playing the game for the first time because of them.

      I totally agree with you they always had a hard time on positioning since towa herself isn't experienced on being a leader on her recent tournaments and pubs positioning is so much different to tournaments that's why Aqua is having a hard time too if they had a coach it would be a total different scenario

      @rbsalmon7895 2 роки тому +22

      Rotating slow was fine, a lot of pro teams play like that. Their problem was getting into fights while rotating and they would always be too far apart from each other. It always led to one of them being low and they're essentially fighting a 2v3 since the other 1 is healing. In fact, that's what happed in their 20th placement games during the tournament.
      i'ts a shame that this is probably their last one as aqua said so because i really think they have barely reached their full potential yet.

      Kuzuha's team was killed by Aqua quite a few time on scrims. For example on Startend very first on stream custom, Aqua wiped their team alone when she was just trying to scout (got 2 with her wingman and then pushed them with devotion). When Aqua did her solo 20th to 5th place, Kuzuha was the first victim of Aqua's devotion there too. And then that startend champion run that Aqua recorded and uploaded, Kuzuha died 1 v 1 vs Aqua too (he had low ammo there), and on Startend first official scrim win, Aqua deleted Kuzuha's team alone with devotion. So yeah, like Kuzuha said on this clip, I dont think he's being humble at all.

      thing is aqua have social fobia to the point that if an waiter is waiting for a que from her to bring her a menue she might take a moment or three...and that is a waiter. Now imagine a full on 20 teams tournament and a coach atop of that...not happening. If Someone aqua doesn't feel safe with is there as a blanket she gets socially hampered...alot of people don't understand this. That is why Towa and suisei jumped on the oppertunity as much as they did because multiplayer tournament intrest from aqua is RARE as in endangered species rare!
      Suisei were litterary booked with two life performances, singing/dancing practice+streams etc for a month and then aqua asked her suisei just dropped shit and took time. Which coach do you think could handle that situation well? Then again aqua is a solo master so her game sence and combat experience is top notch anyway. Well towa already said like tourney can have unexpected situation something like that. No wonder those comment were true like gorilla not take seriously at scrim, so i was like maybe he coach his team first. After we see before and actual tournament, i didn't expect siro could pull that Q stuff too fast and gorilla command literally crystal clear and didn't rush ahead. Its not entirely impossible some team might do like gorilla which they learn do or don't so they learn first and can change legend if don't see fit. For startend they literally like at center attention. Unless they change tactic but thats impossible if they have bloodlust want to kill more and the pressure to get high rank 1 or 2. Aqua basically strong but in term of teamwork still look beginner and at least she experience it.
      Towa experience in tourney so she know that will happen but she still new to as leader if im not mistaken. Usually i keep seeing her as support. The more fail, the more she will get good as leader.
      For suisei, suisei just suisei.
      At least this is memorable experience for them. I know the feeling of towa as leader to try bring team to victory. Its not easy. But even as weak team can win against strong fully equip opponent as long as play smart. I kinda forgot how many time i lose on that game and failed as leader. But towa team basically strong. honestly, i wish one day Startend will climb predator ranks to learn new ticks. only 1 player in the team who can do 1v3 never be enough. plus in the match where every team camp till last zone come. fight this kind of match with camp is more like RNG. aka luck base since when there are more than 10 team in the last zone. it mean you can't control any thing.

    Alot of *Experts like talking shit and downgrading their efforts and discredit how the other players actually viewed them in game. StartEnd tore through the scrims because of their strengths in a upfront confrontation. It took 2 weeks for everyone else to get used to StartEnd's aggressive playstyle and slowly adapted to avoiding them and cornering them with good positioning. The greatest strength and biggest weakness of StartEnd was their overwhelming confidence in winning neutral confrontations. In the actual Tourney nobody was going to fight them head-on. Everytime they died it was either due to poor positioning or getting 3-teamed. In a battle of attrition Suisei's lack of experience shows and Towa doesn't do well in prolonged fights.
    You could even see from other's perspectives how they avoid them at all costs and only engage when they have superior positioning. Unfortunately it was their lack of experience that failed their ability to adapt to the final tourney.

      There's a reason why Startend, especially Aqua was more scary than the others. Because they just comes at you and kills your whole team. Most of other teams were playing more defensive play with securing position on ring, defense it, and try poking other teams once in a while until the ring force them to kill each other. But Startend is more a kill move team and playing on edge (more risky and less consistent style for sure, unless you're mechanically strong to always win head to head).

      They got killed by pakael team and gorilla team the teams who is arguably the strongest vsaikyou competitor and they also got killed by the team who won the entire tournament kuzuha team
      All of those guys doesn't eliminated startend by pure luck if you watch the tournament they got good positioning and the call they made was very good
      The only thing why startend didn't go to top 10 is probably the lack of coaching they didn't have any coach that's all all the team who got good coach finished on top 10 and top 5 , some people may think coach isn't needed but it's clear that coach is a must have when you watch the tournament.
