- BB-64 Radioheadar is a robotic bat that turns into a two inch cube, and also turns into a futuristic jet; and with its bonus item (sole separately) can also turn into a planetary exploration land rover.
This figure has realistically articulated wings, beautiful sculpting and paintwork and is completely poseable, mimicking real life bats down to its included perch so it can hang upside down.
While I really like this figure, I think its alternate modes come up short.

Totally agree! Just looking at swatches from its dark gray base, blue, green and gold, it’s a great looking color scheme.

I agree; this whole line is nicely done.
Mine cracked all the way in different parts. It's the second BeastBox released his year that has widespread breakage issues. 52toys really be dropping the ball on these.
That's unfortunate. I've had a couple that were either a factory defect or weak part; so far just the one big crack on mine. I agree with you -- the transparent plastic they use is good, but 52Toys is leaning into that too much on mechanical parts. I hope yours & mine don't break all the way, but I suspect it's going to happen, eventually.
@@XMattingly Totally agree that they're leaning too much into using translucent plastic, especially in areas where pins and joints are placed. I think this trend started around 2 years ago. I've had multiple clear plastic breakages since then. Before, 52toys would only use this type of brittle plastic for accents and highlights.
@@dominiks_geeky_life_2 Radioheadar is for sure going to get a repaint at some point; now I'm curious what 52Toys might do with it.
I eagerly await 52Toys partnering with DC/Warner Bros. so they can rerelease this figure in Batman colors.

I know what you mean. 😊 There’s a bit of dichotomy between how I rate these and how much I might like a given ‘box; this one might’ve been a little lower on the scale, but there’s no denying it’s a frickin’ awesome figure. I’m really glad I bought it. ✌️🦇

i love this figure. But i only collect specific colors of Beast Box figures for display ascetics. So im waiting to se if we get any recolors released.
That's an interesting way to approach a collection. One nice thing about Beastboxes is, they come in pretty much every color of the rainbow -- but unfortunately not for every mold, of course.
@@XMattingly Very true but the prices for some of them can get pretty out of hand, especially for pop up store or con exclusives. The Reaper mold has been around for a looooong time. And it cost me almost $160 to get Pulse just to get it in blue. But the end result of collecting only specific colors is the wall of them stacked in the chargers by me computer desk back lit by LEDs looks great.
It’s actually not 52Toys that sets those absurd “rare figure” prices. An unfortunate side effect of limited releases is, you have all these 3rd party sellers who gobble up a lot of inventory off of limited time events and resell at jacked up prices. As a point of reference, Sonicripple is a fairly rare one, but it still sells for a pretty modest price at retail stores… _in Asia._ I don’t live in Asia. But I really wanted it, and without alternatives ended up paying around $120. I want a Pulse also, but $160 is too rich for my blood.

Personally I'm not a fan of the colours combo. Just don't liked the blue clash with the bronze/ gold. Even then when I think of a bat, they are usually dark colour or brown and this is all over the place. I gonna wait for a redeco version as they gonna make one sooner or later.
Yep, they might eventually come out with something you like better.
