Just bought one and subscribed! Can’t wait. I go camping solo a lot and in the mountains of NC. I’ve driven from Idaho to SC, SC to Texas and will be driving from SC to Vegas next month. This will help me keep in touch with my family. Be careful ordering as I was having trouble on my IPad. If you go back a page it will kick out the one month. Glad I noticed it. I bought the mini two months ago and tested it out camping over the 4th of July weekend in a very austere location. I am very impressed wirh it's capability. I also use starlink at my remote home. Thank you starlink!

They wont rat you out to the cops. I Loved the video, Love each other, change the oil and enjoy the journey. Rob
Thank you so much!! So far we really love our ambulance camper and have gotten so much use out of it, both for road trips/camping and also for hauling materials for our container house build! :)
We've had a great experience with ours and have actually used the VTOMAN power station to jump our ambulance camper (which is a 7.3L diesel) a few times! Hope you enjoy yours :)
Plug dc power cable directly in usb-c 100w PD port on your power station (assuming you have one) That way you do have to power up the inverter. Might need a 5521 barrel connector female to female adapter between the USB-c cable and the Starlink cable. Or just put a 100 watt usb-c adapter in the 12V port on your power station.
A couple notes: Fed Gov gave Billions to Internet providers to connect the "last mile". I have a friend that lives 20 miles from the nearest Fiber point - his Power company installed both Power and Fiber, he now has Gig fiber at his 150 acre ranch in the middle of nowhere! A wired, Ethernet connection from whatever your internet connection is, is Always best. A Deco Mesh WIFI system would be perfect for your home - three units could cover all your buildings (metal and all) and should be plugged into whatever you use for internet access!
I think home Starlink is for people who don't have fiber, which is a lot of rural people. So, while everything you said has merit, it doesn't really help anyone if they don't have fiber available. Also, fiber isn't useful at all for coverage on the go or off the grid (like at the beach or in the forest, like in the video). Something like SL mini is built for that.
Well, I have Century link. I have 3 to 5 gigs max. Everything has to be plugged into the router/modem to work properly . I can stream video on 1 TV but want 2 . Also, I have 6 ring cameras. Tried Huges network, but it's not any better. For $35,000 I can get a cable from road dug in and $120 per month after. So starlink is my last option , legal option that is. Wondering if the mini has good wifi and can push wireless cameras out 400 feet or so. I want someone to test this thing. Or I will just get it and do my own video. Because Huges network was supposed to be great too.
So far it's worked great for us and we've ran several connected devices at once. Check out this video we did about extending the coverage of wifi for security cameras: ua-cam.com/video/_xJz_3JFbC4/v-deo.htmlsi=x3LhMbkMqSVfmfNq

Do you have sim cards in your phones and are you using apple or other phones? it seems a good idea for people like you away from the city.
Thanks for watching! We have sim cards, but you can use it without sim cards if you use WIFI. The Starlink set up does need a power source, which is why we used the power station. It will work with Mac and PC.
That's good, it will let you stream 4K video without buffering, and you could even play FPS computer games well with that speed. Too bad about the insane monthly price though.
Any thoughts to creating a semi permanent enclosure/bay on the top of your vehicle and/or also running the Starlink Mini off of just the vehicle battery? Is natural light line of sight required(I.e. can you place it under a ceiling panel/covering)? Is mobile app connectivity required once the link is active? Does the app provide a usage dashboard? Aside from some face washouts and asking the star their opinion at the end of the piece, this was a very good video. Thanks.
Thank you!! I've seen a few people do this through the skylights in their cars. It seems to work, but you need to purchase the plan that allows the unit to travel (like the roam plan). You can definitely set it up so that it is powered off of the vehicle battery because it doesn't take much to run. For us it's just easier to use the power station because then we can truly take it with us anywhere (even backpacking). It won't work if there is something blocking the line of sight to the sky though. I've seen people connect it to car batteries and it seems to work, but I've never tried it. For us, the power station is the best option because we can take Starlink anywhere by using the power station to power it.

If the speed was at least 500Mbps both down and up then it would be worth the price. Without it current starlink is just a rip off just a trial test with absurd pricing where people have no any option for internet access.
The monthly prices aren't too bad considering you can get internet almost anywhere. The equipment costs range depending on which unit you purchase but they have all that info on the Starlink website.
starlink isn't gonna do very well in developed countries because conventional internet is so cheap and descent quality that people can't be bothered to get starlink. But guys in 3rd world country the internet is basically a luxury service. In Zimbabwe they charge for data by the megabyte imagine. Starlink mini unlimited costs 30 bucks and standard 50 in Zim. 50 bucks will buy you only 60GB of shit ass wifi. Elon musk has brought unlimited internet to the masses in my country.
Fuck, i forgot to add the link for the free month! I ordered it through the Starlink App! I didn't see a place to enter a code! Does it give me a discount from my own referral to myself? Do me and I both get a free month? Technically, i should get a free month for referring myself to the new Starlink Mini! Any thoughts?

Most people would opt for Roam Plan Unlimited at $150/month. 40GB residential plan at $120, isn’t enough for most single people, let alone families.
Yeah a lot of people we know use the Roam plan.
but how much a month? I got a cabin this would be great
It depends on what plan you get. The monthly prices range quite a bit. I have a screenshot of the price of the plans towards the end of the video.

❤
Awesome thanks, ok
bye bye
Looks like the wind could blow that little panel all over the place.
It is better to attach it if it's going to be super windy, but if there is no severe wind it's fine as is.
Good video!
Thx so much!!
How about 2 TVs UA-cam and netflix? Security cameras, androids, all wireless ?
I've connected several devices at the same time (computer, TV, cameras, etc) and they all seem to work really well. The service really depends on the obstructions though. No obstructions= better service. :)
@PacificPinesRanch do you know the distance of wireless connection? I have motion cameras, so they are not running constantly. My Tvs are 30 feet apart. Then just an occasional PC use. I would rather go smaller if it will still give me better than 5 g maxed out on century link.
it looks like it might blow away in a strong wind. can it be attached to something solid?
Yes, all kinds of mounts available.
If you just place it on the ground like we did in the video, I would be worried, but it can be mounted for a more secure attachment.
Can the Starlink mini also be placed in the rain?
It is IP67 rated when used with Starlink provided power cable.
Yes
When you have a limited view, in thr forest, have you tested things like Teams/Zoom?
No not yet. I will try that out on our next road trip and see what's up! :)
Id like to know how you guys have power
That will be addressed in a later video!! :)
Is that international 😊
I think it's available in South America, but I don't know about anywhere else.
Awesome!
Thank you!!
Dope!
Thank you!!!
If the speed was at least 500Mbps both down and up then it would be worth the price. Without it current starlink is just a rip off just a trial test with absurd pricing where people have no any option for internet access.
Depending on what plan... it can be an amazing option if you want mobile internet or if you live in an area with no other internet options
That freckle
At least where you placed it on the sidewalk it wasn't a trip hazard, oh wait.🤔
The sidewalk doesn't go anywhere, it leads directly to where we parked.
Gorgeous woman… thx for the info!
Thank you!!
how does the antenna work in the rain?
The mini antenna is waterproof as are the connections.
So far it's worked great but we haven't had any BIG rains yet. Winter will come soon and we can get a good test of that! Lol :)
Seems really expensive. You don't have the cost of equipment 😢
The monthly prices aren't too bad considering you can get internet almost anywhere. The equipment costs range depending on which unit you purchase but they have all that info on the Starlink website.
🤩🤩🤩
Thank you!!
How heavy is that vitoman?
It's about 40 lbs
I miss when off grid meant off grid.
The literal definition of off grid is "not using or depending on public utilities, especially the supply of electricity"
❤❤❤👍
Thx so much!! :)
You guys should paint your camper. Olny because if someone is in trouble they will come to your camper for help thus interrupting sex.
With #Starlink, #SpaceX, #Tesla, #Neuralink, #Gork, #Boring ... I am tempted to say Elon Musk for President 🇺🇲 🌍 👍🏼
starlink isn't gonna do very well in developed countries because conventional internet is so cheap and descent quality that people can't be bothered to get starlink.
Bro, do you think that desserts in the US have good cellular coverage?
It's a great option for mobile internet, and is more aimed towards people that only have access to satellite internet, etc.
I'm not sure... it's definitely worth a try though!
a built in WIFI router makes sense
Totally :)
Too expensive
Who is WE? I don't see you do anything but filming...
Filming is doing something, and so is editing, setting up tripods, managing camera gear, etc. Just because you don't see me on camera doesn't mean I'm not doing anything.
Please look at the camera, not yourself.
Trying my best... sometimes I have to look at the screen to make sure everything is in frame. Thx for the tip :)
Is that your grandfather
Well we happt on some sunny continent we power the kits using Solar Kit with Lithium batteries. Yes in the middle of no where for $ 50 per a month. !00 villages each 3 bucks per month in a sparcely populated are . e are NOT complainat all very soon will stream from our village not far from the great Vic Falls. THis is a game change to previously un conneceted remore areas . Even good in the city. NEighbours sharing connection.
Interesting! Thx for sharing :)
cant understand a word this guy says😂
I thought when you installed the security cameras in the woods you asked had Wifi no?
Yes we have Starlink internet on the ranch. This product is more designed for mobile use so we can use it on the ranch, and also take it with us when we leave and have access to internet wherever we go. 😊
16m 31sec, So it links to the stars huh. Tell me, what are the stars connecting to ?
It’s a joke/sarcasm & a play on words with the name of the product
@@PacificPinesRanchlol! I got it!
@@MUDNROCKS (the joke) __/¯¯¯¯(mudnrocks' head)¯¯¯¯\___>
Of all places why didn’t you test it on your high roof?
It's hard to get up there at the moment, but we plan on doing that in the future! :)
Nice 155mbps
Definitely!! :)
why does the poor man have to do everything?
It's balance. He sets up the internet - I create, film, and edit the video.
Stop looking at yourself while filming. Look at the lens.
Laura Farms
naw u r truely mobol
That $5K monthly plan though...😅
Yeah pretty wild!!
Wouldn’t touch anything to do with musk too dangerous to much power
what do you mean, for people living in offgrid, starlink like a god send, before using starlink, we have to pay $200 a month for satelite internet with only 3mbps speed, and horrible signal
God.... this review is horrible.... How these people got 41,000 subscribers is utterly amazing....smh 👎
find a guy who speaks english good idea?😂
English is his 2nd language...hence the strong accent
She sounds like Starlink got it RIGHT
It's been great for us! :)
if you saw what I saw in the woods, you wouldn't go near a tree...
🤣💯🤙👍
Thx!
