Had to come here to listen to Ben again. This week alot of musicians passed away. We're losing our heroes everyday. Rip Ben & Ric. You will Never be forgotten 😔🖤
I agree, this is one of the best songs ever. I listen to it quite often, glad we have this live performance on youtube. I never got to see them perform live unfortunately, so it's great to be able to watch these videos of live performances.
Hi there, thanks for the reply, I haven’t listened to this in awhile, so this is a pleasure. I never saw them live either, been to so many concerts too. I agree so glad to be able to watch. Never fails Ben always has me catching my breath! 🎇
I agree--I thought this was easily the best song too! Loved it's haunting, moody intro and the verse. Then it builds in such powerful ways, love the lyrics "then she said leave it to me, and everything will be alright"... Then out of the turmoil a ray of hope shines through. Those synth arpeggios at the end with the sax are sublime. Orr's voice is golden and Elliot plays that killer guitar. I never could figure out why they didn't release this as the first single. It's one of those songs that just commands your attention and is riveting. Hadn't heard this in years and yes--it's timeless and still holds up.
This live performance wasn’t their best … when I saw them they did a great version! This is the studio recording But played over the live performance! So exact! They were a great live band! Sometimes the sound guy ruins the live performance …
so is it a bad audio overly for UA-cam or a bad lip-sync on the show? Ugh. I can play the amazing album track anytime...and do.....I'd so rather hear the live audio.....
Ben's beautiful voice, amazing harmonies, Greg's amazing synthesizer sounds and awesome sax solo at the end. This should had been a number one hit.

When did Rick die?
Greg's counter melody keyboard beeps when he launches into the sax solo are very dramatic and haunting. Genius in tiny details.
A Masterpiece

And kudos to Greg Hawke!!

The synching on this is off.

anywhere...
It's the studio version played on top of the performance video
But played over a live performance! So exact! They were a great live band!
@@ERICWAGNERSLUCID Thank you for replying with utter gibberish.
@@glitter-lk5dz Perhaps because I'd rather not exploit The Cars so I can grift for views like the uploader.
