    Dirty? That’s better viz than I’ve dived around the Auckland coast for years. I guess you were far out at the offshore islands?

      No not far out, camera often makes it look clearer. There are plenty of locations along Aucklands coast (mainly north) that can often have decent visibility on a regular basis if you monitor the weather before hand and work the tides, its not uncommon to have 5-10m visibility.

    what size of spear gun do you use?
    I am a beginner and am wondering what size to get for a forst gun.

      It depends where you are located, as the length of speargun thats best to use is dictated by the visibility, depth and species you are hunting. Most of the time in the upper north Island of NZ we use a 110cm gun (barrel length). but in winter often shorter around 100cm.
