My little six year old granddaughter watched this post with me and she said, " Oh, that's a nice little book! She did a good job!" Just goes to show creative crafting is for every age!
I hope your viewers appreciate that you are measuring solely for them. Lol Beautiful, you have changed the direction of my life, Pam. I have been making junk journals like a mad woman since I found them through you. And now, friends are asking me to make them for them to purchase! Extra cash in my pocket to go to the second-hand store again! I love your ability to chat away in an interesting way for us to enjoy.
You make the most awesome things with whatever you have laying around! I wish I could sit down & complete an entire project; No matter what it is... But I'm just so darn Easily Distracted!!! ~🙏💙🙏~
Hey there Sonshine!! Love this video! I’ve watched you for years; and you never disappoint. I really appreciate the relaxing way that you present your tutorials, informative and fun. Love your Style Pam. Looking forward to what you give us in 2023!! 🎉🎉
Cool ideas!...got lots of contact paper....I use to contact boxes that large quality of computer paper came in for my ceramic students to transport their pieces in.....Happy New Year from south central Texas area...😻
I loved the Neutral colored journal videos … loved the videos showing fabrics and laces in journals to me it adds so much beauty and elegance to journals, Pam is always on crafting Fire🔥 She will Always be my Favorite journal maker, because when I first started a couple years ago, I had Nothing and knew Nothing and Pam was and is so beginner friendly, mindful. 😂in my mind, I see Pam in a super hero cape ready to solve All our journal questions. 😊❤ I just love her.
Here here to that! I started just last May and because Pam's tutorials are so beginner friendly, you can apply those same concepts to more complicated projects. One can take those techniques she teaches and then REALLY create with reckless abandon! 😅 My journals have come a long way and I'm really starting to find my style. I made four big fat journals for my friends this Christmas and they literally cried at the thought and detail that went into them. It's reactions like that that make me want to make a book for everyone I know. 😂
I want to make one. Most of the time I watch you while I am having breakfast. I may need to think about a different schedule because I want to stay home and play! Thank you for inspiring us to keep on crafting!
So wonderful and simple the thing I love on the way you teach us staff it's the way you talk to us so easily some of us we can't afford the amazon shipping cost and still you give us so many alternatives --- thank you 🇨🇾🇨🇾🏳️🌈❤️😇💕
I love that I've been making stuff with contact paper my whole life it's very affordable and they have such pretty designs over the years they've had such cool designs
I haven’t commented on your channel for a while but, I have to say I’ve missed your videos! It was a breathe of fresh air to watch this and make me want to create my own from all the packages we’ve gotten from the holidays. I hope you never stop creating 😊 thanks for the quick tutorial 🤍
My dad was the wizard at making book covers out of paper bags. Then we could decorate them how we liked. When I got older they came out with the stretchy fabric book covers.
That was your outside voice Pam (she whispers in her friend’s ear) 🤭😏🤪. Thanks for the sweet words Sunny. Great project Pam. You mad it look so easy to make. Blessings!!!
Couldn't believe I had some nice Contac paper on hand, but I did, so I made one of these cute and functional little notebooks this afternoon. Instead of just covering up the inside covers, I made folding pockets and glued them on. Mine only has 32 pages, plus some extra in the pockets. It will be perfect for carrying in my purse. Thanks for another super fun tutorial, Pam.
Late to the party but with a very good excuse...I'm organizing my lace drawer and "trims" drawer. Whoo hoo! That chore has been hanging over my head for a long time. Such a good feeling finally getting it done. 🙂 Great project. Now I have an idea on what to do with some contact paper I've had hanging around forever. TFS Regards to the menagerie and Papa too. Hope you all have a great day. 🌞
Steampunk is my favorite victorian industrial style of all times. Cannot wait to see what you bring to the craft table with that Pam. WOOHOO!!! Doing a jig when ya do...😁🤣🥰
Another fabulous video Pam! I always enjoy spending time with you. I never thought of contact paper!? So awesome! Thanks dear Pam for sharing and for the inspiration, take care Hugs 🤗 ❤️🙏
Had to make 10 journals quick...so I bought ten small ones at dollar tree and covered them with scrapbook paper, used wrapping paper for end pages...just bought faber-fix..it worked beautifully to glue the cover, which was plastic, to the scrapbook paper! Yeah!!thankyou you are such an inspiration for me😘👋
LOVE your style. Not perfect, but close enough !! That's me too. And i have stuff all over the house being saved for something which i can picture your home as well. Thank you Pam for all you videos and neat ideas.
No joke I WAS laughing? Because that is me every single time? Except I stop for an hour and contemplate where I went wrong which just ends up being a waste of time? 😂 Thanks Pam and Sunshine! 💗
Living in Central Calif. Where we are getting a deluge of rain. Day off and cooking a big batch of Roxy's frijole soup with a ham bone. I so enjoy your videos.
That is so creative. Love it and need to try it. Love watching your videos and have learned so much about junk journals that you for your inspiration. Love your Sunny when he talks the first time I watched him I thought it was a puppet then realized he was real.
I just made this today....it turned out wonderfully, thank you so much! I found some sparkly contact paper that I bought ages ago but couldn't remember why! I'll make some more to take to my daughter and granddaughter when I go over to the UK in June/July, hopefully they will also love them! Love your chatter, absolutely love watching and listening to you. Some You Tubers I have to mute, but not you!
Pam, I was so glad to see you measure incorrectly now I know I AM NOT ALONE! lol I was working on a journal and everything I cut was wrong I couldn't measure squat! finally, just put it away and started a new one. I will go back to that one, it just didn't want to be made that day. Thank you! too funny sorry I was laughing at your expense, I have been there.
I ordered 9 x 12 free photo envelopes from the USPS. I want to cover them with contact paper to cover up the postal service info. I intend to use them to carry lessons I've copied for my connect group. Your video is very helpful. Thank you 😊
Just my humble opinion - vinyl is great for covering everything - it was my go to when I started making journals only because we had (14 years ago!) no craft stores. After so many years on my journals the middle cracks because we pull it too tight when adding the cover. Works great to cover binders that are falling apart or covering boxes to match your craft room decor. I noticed on my last trip to the store, they had almost no vinyl paper left....guess I depleted their stock!!! LOL!! Every time I see you use really old newspaper, I am floored. I had found the new years issue of newspaper from 2000 and when I picked it up, it disintegrated into a million pieces!!! I guess the paper was stronger back in the day and the reason our landfills are so full! Have a great day - stay warm or cool....it's -8C or 25F so maybe I will just venture outdoors for a walk to the park and a few laps skating around the rink (the kids are back in school finally!!!!)
Love these little books for a grocery list book TFS. Love that contact paper. But who needs a whole roll. Hmmm. How many books can you make with one. A whole lot I guess.
Genius moment I’ll absolutely love it so durable slides in and out of the purse! Thank you for sharing all of your talent I love the extra trimming it looks so amazing it’s a great gift idea for every holiday! 🙀❤
We used to cover our text books with paper bags so we could decorate them to show our personality lol
Yup! Mine ended up having a lot of paper flowers glued all over them! 😂
Same here in SC in the 70s and 80s. I’d forgotten that! Thanks for the memory!❤❤
Yes, that was fun!
My little six year old granddaughter watched this post with me and she said, " Oh, that's a nice little book! She did a good job!" Just goes to show creative crafting is for every age!
Grocery bags, Pam, we used paper grocery bags!!!
Great little notebook, Pam! 👍

Contact paper is also great for covering cereal boxes for larger journals.

I use crystalline wax to coat embroidery floss to stitch the signatures in. Works great! Holds firmly before tying the knots
Where do you generally buy it from if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve been looking for decent wax for my embroidery floss
Pam you know how to put things together and make something cool. Thanks for sharing.
That was fun. Have a super fantastic day. Sherry
