I’ve seen testing that implies the duration of exposure is much more of a concern, rather than intensity. Flashlights, flash bangs, accidental laser sweeps aren’t a huge deal, but leaving your nods uncapped and facing a window all day can leave burns.

As long as you arent in the threshold, you shouldnt white out your nods. Even if you do, you should be able to see under your nods anyway.
