Ananta Shesha - The Snake Bed Of Vishnu
In the Puranas, Shesha or Sheshanaga is believed to hold all the planets of the Universe on his vast hoods. An ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu, he constantly sings the glories of his Lord from all his mouths. He is sometimes referred to as Ananta Shesha, which means the Endless or the Infinite One. It is said that when Adishesha uncoils, time begins to move forward and creation starts to take place. When he comes back to his coiled position, time stands still and the Universe ceases to exist.
Adishesha is depicted as a massive coiled snake and one that floats in space, or on the Ocean of Milk. On the Ocean, he forms a bed on which Lord Vishnu reclines, with Goddess Lakshmi, the God of Wealth, at his feet.
Shesha is sometimes portrayed either as a five-headed or seven-headed serpent. More commonly, though, he is depicted as a thousand-headed serpent, with each of the heads (or hoods) wearing an ornate crown.
Adishesha, Sri Maha Vishnu's prime devotee, saw to it that he accompanied his Lord even during his Avataras. He had descended to Earth in two human forms, namely, Lakshmana and Balarama.
When Vishnu came down to the Earth as Rama; Shesha accompanied him as his ever-devoted, ever-loving younger brother, Lakshmana.
Lakshmana's devotion and dedication to Rama was exemplary. He selflessly served his brother, never once thinking of his own comfort. When Rama went on exile, Lakshmana left his wife behind and accompanied his brother to the forest. There, his main mission was to serve and protect Rama and Sita at all times.
When Vishnu manifested as Krishna, Shesha came along with him as his elder brother, Balarama. One lesser-known legend of the Mahabharata claims that Adishesha was present along with Krishna even during the Great War of Kurukshetra. According to this story, the Divine Serpent supported the wheels of Arjuna's chariot; thereby also protecting the Pandava Prince from harm while on the battlefield.

Again I want to point out that lord sri Krishna Shrinathji or Radhakrishna is supreme reality nirguna parambrahman itself, while sakara chaturbhuj lord sri vishnu is a divine incarnation of lord sri Krishna. Lord Krishna had 3 avatars - karnodakshayi vishnu or Sri maha Vishnu, garbhodakshayi vishnu and kshirodakshayi vishnu, and all of the Vishnus are divine sakara incarnations of supreme reality lord sri krishna. While lord adi shesha or sankarshana bhagwan is an incarnation of lord Vishnu and lord balarama and lord lakshmana are earthly incarnations of lord sankarshana who is a divine incarnation of lord Vishnu who himself is a sakara divine incarnation of lord sri Krishna Shrinathji nirguna parambrahman himself. My grandma used to tell me the story of sheshnaag by telling he use to talk less and whenever lord Vishnu asked him about the weight of earth is greater for him to carry, he would say no by using his head(left-right or vice versa) thereby occuring of earthquake, she told me the day he said yes the weight is too much to carry on and would do yes using his head the earth would fall down and collapse.

Arjun was very lucky. He had Lord Krishna as his charioteer, Lord Hanuman on the flag of his chariot and Sheshnaag supporting his wheels
Nice video, but you forgot to mention that Ananta Sesha is also a partial expansion of Lord Vishnu himself, categorized as a Sahkti-avesha-avatara, as he is the Lord performing a very specific function to uphold the universe.

There’s a lot of similarities between Hinduism and Native American spiritual traditions. I don’t see hinduism as a religion but a spiritual tradition or a “religion” with various traditions. In Hindi ‘Dharma’ means ‘must to do at any cost’ A responsibility that you can never escape from for your own comfort and for your personal reasons and emotions .You have to do what must be done practically for your people to follow guidelines of a King even if it kills your from inside . When he sent Maa Sita to forest he was lost and devastated from inside. His love to her is still incompatible in all the worlds. He had sleepless nights forever he gave up bed and started living on a floor since then . He cried all nights . So how he controlled his deepest of emotions in front of the world just because He portrayed As an example to every human how they should live their life and make toughest of decisions over our own emotions and sake. He became God. As a human me and you can’t do such sacrifice. He did that that’s why He is the God. Hope you understand both side of the story that there were must to do reasons for what he did.
I live in Ayodhya only which is his birth place and can tell you that his life his stories his doings are so much more than written in those books or told in those stories.❤️

I find it interesting that Shesha naga or at least how he is according to the video is similar to what the seraphs (seraphim is an alternative plural term) do in Abrahamic faiths. The seraphim are always praising god.
