Instead of going after this company in a legal matter, I’m going to use the power of social media instead since I have the platform and reach a substantial audience already… I’m disgusted that I have to make this video and shed light on the handling of Jax’s remains. I’m hurt by the false promises they made, and the broken trust they shattered by covering up abuse or/or fraud. After the painful loss of Jax on the road and the helpless feeling of waiting or his ashes, this final act by Pet Angel is impossibly unfair and cruel to fathom. I didn’t want it to come to this. It’s such a disgusting slap in the face. And this is the closure we get due to the incompetence or fraud delivered by Pet Angel. While nothing can the outcome now, I wish things had been handled more professionally by Pet Angel. I hate catching a company in a lie that could potentially ruin their “built on trust” slogan, but this story is too important to ignore and not share right now. I’m moving on with my own celebration of Jax’s wonderful life of 11 years on the road. I owe it to myself and Tara to try to be happy and live a meaningful life. I wish things had been handled more professionally by Pet Angel, but they are not budging with their promises and story. I want them held accountable for the lies and fraud they committed to myself and so many potential others. Be aware next time “Pet Angel” offers to care for the irreplaceable sacred remains of your special fur baby. Feel free to contact Pet Angel Memorial Center here: petangelmemorialcenter.com Phone: (888) 843-6545
If you are ever in Westport Washington. There is a few kittens here that live outside that I take care of. They are wild cats that I tamed. The cats come up to ya and let you pet them. There is this blue eyed male kitten out there. So beautiful. It's white with black marks on it and blue eyes. If you make it this way let me know. They need a good home. I have two cats myself but it's not right that the outside wild cats that was already here don't have a home. I do catch them and there is this no kill shelter that takes them to. These two kittens seem really nice and I didn't want to just give them to a shelter. It's an Idea anyways. There is also a female grey Kitten.
Hello, just now seeing this. So very sorry for your loss! We lost our 15 year old dachshund on 10/13/22. Our vet had recommended Pet Angel 3 years ago when we lost his sister. She was cremated at Pet Angel also. All the bar codes and numbers matched so we didn’t question anything. I had the vet do the paw print on paper while we were still there. BUT, we get this dogs remains and the numbers match except all of them in in a different decimal number. There is a .2, .3, and a .4 Also, the last section of the barcodes have different lines. Some wider and some darker. I contacted them to see why they all weren’t the same . They were on the other dog. And like you, they have created doubt for us! We had the paw prints done in the clay mold also. We know the print from the first dog was hers. Not sure now about our little guy??? This is devastating to those grieving the loss of a family member. We were assured by our vet that each animal has a metal tag with a number that follows them through the entire process and that is the assurance that you have your animal. We paid for the Private cremation for both. If that’s true, then why isn’t the metal tag in the remains? That would be positive proof and peace of mind, no questions asked. It would remove any doubt. I would recommend that people request to be present for the cremation, and have a local funeral home in your area so it.
You need hair with the root attached (For going the legal route) to prove it's 100% Jax's hair (He could test hair in his RV against the hair in the bag for similarities, and it will prove whether both hair samples are from the same breed of cat). When this video hits, their business sales will tank.
Even without DNA I bet there is someone that could do a microscopic comparison to see if it is from the same breed.... or from Jax directly if Eric had another sample.
We have been watching you for three or more years. Long ago in the 1980's I received a Biochemistry degree. My wife and I have had cats since we were kids. There may be a way to prove what is really going on. One of the many Vets you have been to may have a blood sample that they saved from Jax. If so, you could do a DNA analysis of both the blood and the hair to see if there is a DNA match. Then you would know the truth. We wish you luck investigating Pet Angel. So sorry for your loss.
@@jasper123453 It wouldn't verify the ashes, only the fur. The simple truth is that this is no different than any other crematorium service, they could be scooping ashes from the BBQ, and you have to take them at their word.
@@jasper123453 unfortunately not the ashes . the fur yes , if the truth is known ever box urn in stock are prefilled waiting for a label ? according to size of pet , think about it ? ... everyone is on the make ... ?
Be sure to tell the vet office that you went through, I am sure they would want to know. I am so sorry and hope you heal. Lots of love and positive vibes are being sent your way.
I wish I had the words to take the pain away and make you feel better, just remember Jax has crossed the Rainbow Bridge and is in a far greater place. Those who scammed you will get their day, what comes around goes around.
I like to think most ESPECIALLY when pulling scams on those who are grieving! I mean, what kind of people kick others when they’re down-not the kind anyone really wants to have anything to do with. But their Karma? Duuude, don’t wanna be ‘round those creeps when she comes a callin’. Remember too: sometimes their crap that they pulled was more than what Karma would be able to fix, so what waits for them is in the afterlife…I always envision that scene from Ghost with Patrick Swayze when those goblin type shadowy figures came running, snatched the bad guy’s soul, and ran off with it. So, we may not be around to SEE the consequences of their bad deeds-we’re not supposed to-but it’s gonna happen.
Veterinarian offices who contract with this company need this info. A good suggestion would be that the Vet do the inked paw print at the office before the owner leaves. So sorry you had to encounter this unscrupulous company Eric. In the long run, time will bring more comfort to you. We all loved Jax! ❤🤗
@Spirit Love I agree with you. I don't want any thing to do with remains myself but if it brings comfort to some, I understand that too. It's just a shame that any business that takes responsibility for handling something so sacred, would be so dishonest. I hope they are held accountable in some manner.
Eric, I'm sorry to hear this but this unfortunately happens in the pet memorial business. May I suggest: Since you have high and reasonable doubt the ashes and fur are Jax, maybe consider open the urn and release the ashes and the fur at a beach in a memorial to Jax's memory. The ashes will be sealed in a plastic bag in the urn. Then replace in the urn some of Jax's personal possessions like his collar and toys. It's a nice urn and badge and you will preserve Jax's memory with keeping some of his possessions in it, and that makes it 100% Jax. I think it might hurt and upset you to keep the ashes and fur you were given when you have such high and reasonable doubt that it belongs to Jax. Take care, you are doing great in honoring your cat Jax.
"unfortunately this happens in the pet memorial business" gimme a break. their solgan is about trust. if their business is based on 'trust' they better damn be sure they are providing the service correctly. no excuse for this. i don't see how the first sentence in your comment can be made when rest of your remarks sound quite kind and thoughtful. no one needs to be making excuses or apologies for this company.
This is EXACTLY why I chose a locally owned crematorium! My 115 pound pup passed suddenly in the night while I was on vacay. I frantically looked online and found someone an hour away. The women was absolutely amazing and was at my place with a stretcher in an hour. She and her husband own the place and rushed her cremation for us to happen that day since we were visiting and I wanted to go home. At 7am the following morning, I showed up and took my girl home with her ashes and a clay impression of her giant paw. I bought my own glass blown urn from the beach where she passed. I wanted to pour her in the vessel myself for your very reasons. I’m in my 30s and had list both of my parents the previous year. Whether it be a human or animal, use locally owned businesses. This is unacceptable.
When our Maltese "Peanuts" passed, we received a package like yours and his paw print was in a pottery tile. I showed it to my husband and he questioned whether it was really Peanut's paw print since his paw was really tiny and this one seemed larger. After watching your video, I think maybe my husband's first instinct was correct, it's not Peanut's paw print - so sad! :o(
I watched this last night and I'm still reeling. I hope the urn I have has the cremated remains of my feline best friend of 11 years, but now I don't know. Why can't this company just do what they say they're doing? It's needlessly cynical and cruel to grieving people. I take comfort in the time I spent with him while he was alive though. Nothing about this situation changes that.
I had my fur-buddy cremated when he passed. The process of cremation took place at a distant facility and, of course, I wasn't there to witness the process (thank God). But you can really rack your brain with doubts questioning whether it's your pet whose remains are really in the urn. But what's the alternative? Witnessing the cremation of a being you loved with all your heart? These companies have to their advantage the fact that the pet owner isn't present during the cremation process to verify that it's their pet whose remains they are getting. This means that they can carry on in whatever manner they see fit. It's not until they blunder in such a devastating manner that you have confirmation about how they conduct themselves behind closed doors or when the pet owner isn't looking or can't look.
100% agree. For all you know it's just sand or they claim it's a private cremation meanwhile they mixed in a bunch of pets together and just added 2 scoops into each bag and off they go. They have the owners at the lowest moment and milk them for every thing they can because they would do anything for their pet.
Pets are property and the damages for the mishandling of remains of a domestic cat of advanced years would be negligible. You won't win on pain and suffering either. It stinks as we regard them as family but the law doesn't. Eric is taking the right approach--hit them in their reputation. I go to local pet cremation services when a beloved animal dies and take the remains myself. I think you get better results that way.
I hate to say it, Eric, but, I think that that print it IS Jax’s paw print. I have a feeling that the technician made a very poor judgment call and decided to hold the thumb back with the three extra toes on it for aesthetic purposes. I was with my technician at the cremation office after my maincoon past and I watched him take fur, then immediately make the paw print and he arranged the paw in a way that I didn’t like so I asked him to redo it. He said that he splayed the toes out in a certain way because he thought it looked better than my kitties natural paw print would. My instinct when looking at the print is that it’s Jax. Because the ink is messy and he had so many extra toes and the way they have to manipulate the forearm on a dead cat to get the print meant it may have been very smudged and messy looking with all of the digits.
This can’t end here with Pet Angel. Whether Eric continues the fight or a subscriber, or a local news station, someone needs to get to the bottom of this.
Before accusations PLEASE make sure that you are contacting the correct Pet Angel. I saw the video NOMADIC FANATIC and the Pet Angel he is referring to is PET MEMORIAL SERVICES with their logo in the background which has many locations one of which is in FL and they are a corporation. We are PET ANGEL CREMATION SERVICES located in PA you can see the it is not the same logo nor the company that he is referring to. My sympathies to Jax’s family and extended fans. Cordially,
Eric, Please make another video and clarify to your fans exactly the full name of the company, address, state, we are not Affiliated with Pet Angel MEMORIAL CENTER IN FL we are PET ANGEL CREMATION SERVICES in PA A VERY SMALL BUSINESS, because you shared only the first 2 names, since this morning we have been bombarded with negative emails & phone calls which directly impacts our ability to provide for our families, caused us a lot of nuisance and damages our reputation, in this rough economy that we are all growing through together. My sincere sympathies on the loss of Jax.
So sorry for your loss, Eric. The betrayal is enormous and I can empathize because we picked out similar packages for 4 of our 5 chihuahuas when they passed on. The paw print captured in tile didn’t appear to be genuine which also shed doubt on the fur clippings and contents of our urns. So, I totally understand the violation you feel. I took the 5th dog to a taxidermist because his death was sudden and I was so beside myself I couldn’t part with him. I’m hoping this expose’ will generate interest in a pet crematorium that will provide pet owners with legitimate certification in the way of a personal eye witness service or video recording of the cremation. Because I believe pet owners need to have that assurance their beloved pet was handled with the care and dignity you expected. Much love to you and Tara as you mourn the loss of your beloved Jax😘
The technician probably pulled back on his paw and didn't realize that he had extra toes to put his paw on ink pad. A lot of cats extra toes are not up close to the front ones. Technician might of thought it was a growth. Did anyone tell technician that Jax had extra toes? Be safe out there. Hope to see you on the road.🥰🥰🥰
That’s what I was thinking. In trying to make a “clean” print the tech only inked the center of the paw. Obviously unaware of how important the whole paw print mattered compared to possibly a messy print.
I tend to agree. I am very sorry for Eric's loss, as we recently went through the same with our beloved feline. Jax was the main reason we subscribed to the channel years ago and now have unsubscribed. Nuf said.
Hey Eric so sorry for your loss. What i would do is send a sample of Jax ashes and fur to a DNA lab test to have it authenticated. Grab some fur from his bed and use that as the control. I’m so sorry for your loss and just know we are all here for you.
My cat died. 20 years old, passed in his sleep I buried him myself. I can't put ashes on my shelf, Eric. Feels like a memorial to death to me and letting go harder. But how I feel isn't how everyone else feels. I know you are hurting but you really know that Jax lives in your heart, not ashes or prints. Not in scraps of his fur. He is right there in your heart and your soul because he loved you. It is just that simple at the end of the day.
I am so very sorry Eric. This is absolutely disgraceful. I can't even imagine your pain, anger and disappointment. I absolutely will never use their company!!!! Sending you hugs and prayers 💗
This is so heartbreaking. That company doesn’t have any compassion for the pets or the people who loved them. As soon as Jax passed, his spirt went up to Rainbow Bridge where he is running around very healthy and playing with the other animals up there. Eric, you will always love and honor Jax in your own way. He couldn’t have asked for a better Dad ❤️😻💝
My eyes are full of tears for you, I know so well how difficult it is to lose a precious fur baby. As for that “Pet Angel” company, they have done a lot harm to their reputation and they will never get it back!
Thank you for sharing your experience w/this sham company Eric. It actually gives me a nauseous feeling as I look around my house & see all my fur babies who were cremated & had those paw prints made by various pet cremation companies. Because now, like you, I can’t be 100% sure that the paw prints & even the remains are in fact my precious babies because I now have DOUBTS.. & this not only breaks my heart as well, but angers the shit out of me. Because our babies are animals, there really are no laws in place to protect us pet parents as consumers when dealing w/these type of companies & that has to change. Every time you mentioned sweet 💖Jax💖, I’m crying along w/you..he was such a special kitty who has won us all over w/his funny antics, his loyalty & love for you & you for him. I’m so sorry this company has failed miserably in the ethics department. I will inform everyone I know who is a pet parent, to not have anything to do w/this company.
Maybe contact an attorney? A company like that should absolutely not be in business. I appreciate you for making this video. And bringing this to everyone's attention. Stay strong brother. Jax is watching over you and Tara ❤️
Oh my God Eric, there are not enough words to tell you how sorry I am about the loss of your best bud. I know I don't always agree with you, but I could see the love you had for that little man (And he for you) I'm loved watching your videos for the adventures of Jax. I'm not even going to comment on the horrific way you were treated because I don't want that kind of energy in this post but just know that this video needed to be made and hopefully saved many other pet parents from more grief piled onto an already impossible situation. My heart is with you and Tara- it's going to take some time, and there will never be a day where you don't think of him, but I promise it does get easier. ***I write this while my sister lays in ICU, on a vent and dialysis, after open heart surgery that didn't go the way we had hoped it would. There's a good chance I'm going to be speaking with a funeral director before the week is over and this terrifies me... Short of standing in the crematorium, how do we know that we are actually getting our loved one back? These people need to realize the trust that is placed in them and whether it's a human being or "just" a cat, they deserve the utmost professionalism. (I'm a pet owner, I would never think of a pet as "just anything".)
Eric, I am just soooo happy that you have his entire life documented on video. Take a paw print of Tara now and some hair. I have hair of my pets before burying them on my dad’s land.
This is one of the hardest videos I've watched. I'm sitting here crying along with you as my beloved Sassy's ashes and memorial watch over me. Love you.
Firstly I was completely devastated to find out about the passing of our furry little buddy Jax...and I can comfortably refer to him as our buddy as we the viewers have enjoyed watching him grow over the years with you on your travels. So my heart goes out to you Eric and Tara of course. He will forever be remembered and cherished by us all. The loss of a loved one is one of the most devastating and heart wrenching moments in some ones life and for a company who's main responsibility is to alleviate some of the pain in taking the utmost care of his remains and honoring the wishes of his loved ones in their memory...to do this! Is sickening and appalling. What aggravates me even more is the fact that they have been doing this for years. How many errors have they made over the years??? All I can say is Eric stay strong my friend he will always be with you in memory and spirit. You gave him a wonderful life and made him a star which will continue to shine forever above you. I am not a vindictive person by nature however sometimes to right so many wrongs we need to act. So in memory of Jax and god knows how many other poor little souls vindication is a must. Boycotting this company may bring the change that is needed. Love you always Jax! ❤🙏❤
Eric please please don't let them get away with this report them to the better Business bureau or whoever because this is just so heartbreaking. How vulnerable are we at that point and Jack was our baby. Please, don't let this go... this the video is so needed. but don't let them get away with this they've got to be reported to someone. I don't have enough experience to know who you would report it to but I would start with whatever state you're in that they are supposed to be licensed by and see if you can get a licensing or a certification or something as to why they are still allowed to be in business. Personally, I don't trust them mortuaries at all and I think it's it's all just business and nobody really cares it's a big business... And worse for our pets. Sometimes I even feel that way about our vets. We love you & Tara & will never forget our handsome wonderful jax.
Sorry to hear about Jax buddy.... he lived an amazing life and his remembrance will always be with us. Hes never gone, his spirit will always be with you
I am so sorry for your pain as you deal with this remembrance journey you are on! We are all here giving you a collective hug and words of compfort. We too are shedding tears.
So sorry for your loss. Having heard sad stories like yours when I lost my Molly last year we had her cremated at Kissimmee pet cremations they were so nice I put her into the chamber myself and waited, then the gentleman placed her ashes into the urn in front of me it is heart breaking not know if your pet is in the urn. I know it's no consolation but I hope you get justice
This is very very sad. Let this be a learning experience for everyone. When we had to put our babies down, we were very blessed to have been able to watch them put our baby in the oven. We stayed at the cremation thru the whole process. The man working this horrible thing, called me to the window. He was going thru the remains of the ashes. He asked me if I wanted any pieces to save. I did! I took my dog's hair clippings myself at home. I was given a small piece of a bone. I chose the one I wanted. We did not get anything fancy for his ashes. Im able to open it, and hold his ashes. We stayed there for the whole process. I took my baby home that day. Thank you for sharing such devastation to your viewers as a warning. Im so sorry you are going thru this.
"Pet Angel" should be renamed "Pandora's Box." We just looked at the print we received for our little chihuahua girl Marcie...it looks just like your cat print! Wonder what's in her box? We're old(er) and our backyard is full...your tribute to Jax is in your heart.
@@PrincessJamiG It could be a mass produced item misrepresented as an individual impression. They shouldn't offer a service they don't actually provide. The fur is sufficient and more than you get at some pet cremation services.
I have shared this on my Facebook and have asked others to share this video and too not use Pet Angel as they are scammers. I'm in Texas and I will be calling them as well. I'm so sorry this happened to you. You handled it way better than I ever could have. My furbabies are my world too and when I pass I want my furbabies that passed away to be mixed with my ashes. I will always love and miss Jax too. His spirit will always be with you. Love you and Tara. ❤❤❤
Hi Eric. So, I have worked in many, many vet clinics as a tech over many years. I am so sorry. It is most likely not the final company you are dealing with at all. When an animal is euthanized it isn't like it is with people. So, that company would send out generic packets to 1000s of clinics with info and packaging for hair clippings and paper and ink pads for obtaining the paw print and a little tag with the barcode number on it. So, once the euthanasia is complete....a technician will take the body back and clip the hair and get the paw print. Unfortunately, if the paw print isn't taken almost immediately the paw will lose flexibility and it will be very difficult to get a good print....more so as time goes on. Most likely if an error occurred it happened at the emergency clinic where they either waited to long and couldn't get his thumbs in, or couldn't get a good print of the correct paw and had to get a different one. The technician at the company only reviews and double checks numbers and puts the boxes together, and can only work with the info they receive after the whole process is complete. Not trying to give them a pass, but the breakdown probably happened way before Pet Angel entered the picture.
I think so too. I've buried many a family pet in my day. I don't understand why anyone would need this company's service's. No one will ever care to personal details better than the owner. I know emotions are running high but you might think this through a bit. Honor Jax's memory .
Yeah but I think most are forgetting that they ADMITTED they "dropped the ball!" In they're making that kind of acknowledgement ...somewhere THEY were a contributor.
I am so sorry this has happened to you and Jax. You have every right to be mad as hell for them scamming you in this manner. I have never personally used a service like this. I have personally dug the grave and buried each pet I have lost over my 75 years on this earth. I have 3 of my past pets buried on the land I currently live on and if I have my way the current two dogs we have will also be buried here too. At my current age I do not plan to have any more pets when Coco Bay and Salt cross over the rainbow bridge. OMG just thinking about that makes me cry. Eric do your best to move on and put this nightmare behind you. I have been a fan watching you and Jax since you had the Class C in Washington State and that has been a while back for sure.
I don't blame you! The problem is we all know about Jax and how we all loved him! Its not just a cat! I would sue them too, they need to taught a lesson.
I support you 100%, I also restate the previous comment "just know Jax's spirit is safe and resting and wrapped in your love". There is nothing you can do to change what happened, just forget it and remember him fondly. I got a cat just like yours because of Jax.
The way Tara went after that box tells me maybe she could smell Jax's fur in that bag. You need to hold on to the memories and take Solace in the fact you did what you could for Jax. Your in the prayers of many people let God heal brother. Take care
I would get the fur DNA tested and compared to some of Jax's fur from his old blanket. If the fur they gave you does not belong to Jax, I would sue the shit out of them. 😽
Be careful Eric. All you have proved is that they made a mistake, you are far from proving that they scammed you. They offered you a full refund, which is all they are required to do by law. By calling them out on UA-cam as scammers ,you are setting yourself up for a lawsuit against you for defamation and slander/libel, and they would probably win. You could lose everything you have worked hard for. I know you are heartbroken, but please calm down before you create more trouble for yourself. Did you read their fine print, before you agreed to their services? I love your Channel and we will all miss Jax. Please be careful and tread lightly. Cooler heads prevail!
Well said! The mob action created by Eric's heated rant has already hurt one small business that had nothing to do with this. They are getting slammed by nasty calls and emails.
This comment is so wrong. People like you who roll over and are nice in these type of evil situations, cause more evil. And this 'more evil' - which is created by people who roll over and enables evil, causes good people and beautiful animals to be destroyed.
so sorry Eric I know this was heartbreaking, I hope you find joy in your memories of Jax soon, we understand the loss of a pet that's your baby, we never cremated our pets, we always buried them and we knew where they were and how we handled them with care, that comforted us, hugs
All of our hearts are breaking for you. You did good by making this video. I have a little girl kitty like yours, and if it makes you feel better, she was the same way when she was younger. Never wanted to be held! That changes, eventually. She'll become a really good cuddle buddy in time. Just keep working at it. 🙂
Is it possible they just didn't get all the paw in the print? I had a cat that was a big part of my life for over 20 years, and had her cremated locally, but that didn't mean a bunch to me, what means a lot are the memories. Eric, just focus on the memories and stop torturing yourself. Reality is, most of us will outlive many, many pets, and losing them is just a part of life.
I wonder if there if a way to do a 3D print of Jax's paw from the screenshot of the video, when you held his paw. It would be cool to have a 3D print... And maybe you could make an imprint from it. I know it's not the same but you have a good picture of it. Loved the Jaxman.🐾❤
When dad died . I asked a bunch of questions on cremation. Too be honest I really have no idea if the remains are him. We did scatter his ashes. And yes there were small bone pieces. Makes ya wonder.
Eric just so you know. We are from Florida. We have had our cats cremated through Pet Angel and I ASSURE you that we will be emailing them with questions and the link to your video and DEMAND answers!!! So sorry for you and all of us who put trust in them. Thanks you for having the balls to speak up about this! My wife and I will stand up against this company with you!!! They will answer to us all.
I hope someone is able to take a picture of Jax paw when you were holding it as he passed, and someone is able to get it printed, (even in 3D would be awesome) and send it to you.
@@barbskurka6996 You’re correct. Everyone knew Jax had extra toes. Like he said they thought they could get away with what they had done thinking no one would know. That’s sad.
I can imagine the sadness you must be feeling. I travel with my cat too. Six years now. She's fourteen. There's a significant closeness between a cat and their owner when you're in an RV , just the two of you. Jax was such a wonderful cat. So sorry these idiots have done this. I'm going to see if they have a Yelp page and my review won't be kind. Take care
My hope here is that the company finds that two bar codes were mixed up and Jax's stuff is with somebody else who can be contacted and you all can get your hearts back and the company earns back your trust. I'm crossing my fingers that the manager you dealt with isn't going to let this go and will do everything he/she can to get to the truth. I'll tell you this, I unsubscribed when you got your base camp because I was interested in the traveling aspects of your show. A friend of mine asked me if I watched you (because I'm a cat lover and RV lover) and informed me of Jax's passing. I had to re-subscribe to your channel after hearing about that. So, in a sense, Jax has yet again helped you in way by returning a subscriber to your base. I'm really sorry about Jax's passing. Please know that thanks to you, Jax had a great life. Cats are naturally curious and explore and you took him around the country several times and gave him everything a fur baby would want. Tara will never replace Jax but she will help mend the hole left behind. Be sure you keep your heart and your mind open. A nomad like you cannot afford to do otherwise. :) Peace out.
That is so sad. "The Jax T Shirt is beautiful. Jax is with you in spirit and even though there is doubt about the fur and cremains, please honor that as being the legit part that came thru.
Eric, Tara was on Jax's blanket because she could smell Jax on the blanket. Let Tara smell the fur. Watch her recaction, not just in that instant. But watch to see her reaction over the day to the fur. She will confirm if it is Jax's fur. That will give you peace about the ashes. See if she keeps returning to the fur.
@@molo6234 You sound like you're defending a company that has been caught defrauding consumers. Eric doesn't need to get "all of the facts" to figure out what the company has been doing. Why should proving the integrity of a company require the work of the consumer? The onus on this company is to now prove they haven't been handing out generic paw prints to their clients.
I think I speak for all your viewers when I say that everyone watching your videos knew Jax was a very, very special cat. You might say he was America’s favorite pet. Shame on this company for committing such a heartless, fraudulent act and breaking your trust in them...We will always remember Jax. Thank you Eric for alerting pet owners to this type of scammer company.
Oh Eric...I am so sorry that you are having to deal with this added burden. When my last 2 cats passed away at home, I was devastated and wanted some way to keep a part of them with me and turned to cremation. I was very blessed to find a family owned and run pet crematorium not too far away. I took my beloved Angel to them and was greeted warmly and lovingly. I was there to see my sweet girl be put into the oven and was able to say goodbye. I did the same thing when Oliver passed. There is much to be said for small business. I wish you had been able to deal with an honest company. As a side note-my husband is a retired RCMP officer. He had occasion to deal with a crooked human cremation facility where people had been sent the ashes of family members only to find out during this investigation that they were just sent some ashes, not necessarily their loved ones. There are bad people out there and we all need to be aware of scams. Love to you and Tara.
Special ways to honor Jax: a donation in Jax's name to a cat park, or a picnic table built with a plaque for Jax at your favorite campground; a donation from your viewers to research to help find a cure for Jax's disease; a statue of Jax made and placed somewhere important to you; to name a few ideas. So, so sorry your heartache had to be increased by such a horrible situation.
Eric, my heart is breaking along with yours. I wish there was some way to ease your heartbreak. Just know that my wife and I are sending you our silent support.
Hi there - I'm not sure how I stumbled upon your video, but I actually work for a locally owned pet crematory. I am so sorry for the awful treatment you received from this company. They should absolutely have more steps to help ensure that your pet is taken care of with the utmost respect. I am so sorry for what happened to you. It's completely inexcusable. Big companies like this are ruining our industry. My heart goes out to you.
I have to agree with the numerous posts already… this video can come back and bite you legally. Pet Angel can put a lawsuit against you for defamation. I would delete this video ASAP
I hope that they will make it right, however that looks, so that there may be proper closure to this situation. At the end of the day, however, no one can take away what Jax was, who Jax was, and what he meant to you (and many others), what you meant to him, and the joy y'all brought to each other. Stay strong!
I honestly don't believe they can make it right with Eric, they can offer a refund, compensation, extra services free but there is no getting back that special paw print of Jax.
I thought just maybe they didn’t get a full print when they did it. We had a hard time getting full fingerprints one time for a document required for volunteers. It took several tries. Just a thought. No one can take away your precious memories. He was excellent. Love you man.
Yes, is it possible the vet technician did not get a full print of Jax’s paw with the thumb? Did they take the time to hold his paw and roll it so all digits were imprinted ? It is very possible that it is Jax’s digits without his polydactyl thumb…
Eric, I just left a scathing review on Facebook for pet angel. I didn't mention your name because I didn't have your permission to do so. But I described the situation in great detail. I definitely let them know that what they did to you was inexscusable! Love ya. Hugs. ❤
Thank you for STANDING UP against this company! The memory of Jax is worth all your efforts.
Be aware next time “Pet Angel” offers to care for the irreplaceable sacred remains of your special fur baby.

if you sue them you could get six figures. Talk to a lawyer.
Jax will be in our hearts forever and I love you my brother.
I'm so sorry Eric...I would be livid.😥❤
Eric let's bern their qhone up do you have a number we can call
This needs to be shared with every veterinary office in the country. I am so heartbroken for you.
?
Yes it does!
That's true !
Absolutely and I shared! I have 3 cremated remains of cat fur babies but none with Pet Angels thank God! Nor will I ever.
EVERYONE TWEET THE LINK TO THIS VIDEO!!
There is a .2, .3, and a .4
Also, the last section of the barcodes have different lines.
This memorial centre is in AMERICA. Please do not contact our company as we are an AUSTRALIAN company that have no links to this business whatsoever.
@@vickenator Thank you so much. We are devastated to hear of your experience with that company, Eric. Our thoughts are with you.
DNA test that fur! That better be Jax, this company is shameful.
You need hair with the root attached (For going the legal route) to prove it's 100% Jax's hair (He could test hair in his RV against the hair in the bag for similarities, and it will prove whether both hair samples are from the same breed of cat).
When this video hits, their business sales will tank.
@@nonnegotiable2777 Damn I hope so !!!
Oh!! That would be good to make sure his ashes and are really his.
Yes, I thought about that....great way to prove the truth...
There is a company in my state where you can actually watch it be done. Then you know for sure. What a heartbreaking thing to happen though.
So, we may not be around to SEE the consequences of their bad deeds-we’re not supposed to-but it’s gonna happen.
absolutely, you are exactly correct.
Quick phone call..cant mess with us
I remember you starting out from Olympia right out of college. What a journey.Jax will always be here.
Veterinarian offices who contract with this company need this info. A good suggestion would be that the Vet do the inked paw print at the office before the owner leaves. So sorry you had to encounter this unscrupulous company Eric. In the long run, time will bring more comfort to you. We all loved Jax! ❤🤗
I intend to go to our vet personally as they contract through Pet Angel and tell them and show them Eric's video.
@@RiverDocs Ty TC. Good idea. They need this information. God bless you🙏
@Spirit Love I agree with you. I don't want any thing to do with remains myself but if it brings comfort to some, I understand that too. It's just a shame that any business that takes responsibility for handling something so sacred, would be so dishonest. I hope they are held accountable in some manner.
@Spirit Love I disagree....for me, there is something comforting about having their ashes closeby.
WONDERFUL SUGGESTION!!!

"unfortunately this happens in the pet memorial business"
gimme a break. their solgan is about trust. if their business is based on 'trust' they better damn be sure they are providing the service correctly. no excuse for this.
i don't see how the first sentence in your comment can be made when rest of your remarks sound quite kind and thoughtful. no one needs to be making excuses or apologies for this company.
Yes, I totally agree with Scott Keen’s suggestion. I hope Eric gets to read it ❤️.
As I recall Jax did not like the beach. Didn’t like the feel of the sand.
The ink pressing process makes prints look bigger
When I picked up my dogs cremains, there was a certificate and a metal tag that certified it was hers. It was a local business so I trusted them.
I dig graves for my precious dogs. I hate the thought of them burning in fire...so I bury them myself.
This is heartbreaking...
I would still look at legal options. Put the fear in them even more!
Depends on the state you live in
I hate to say it, Eric, but, I think that that print it IS Jax’s paw print.
That's probably it. I am glad you corrected them.
People often become irrational when they lose a loved one. It’s highly likely they just were lazy and did a quick partial print
This can’t end here with Pet Angel. Whether Eric continues the fight or a subscriber, or a local news station, someone needs to get to the bottom of this.
Getting the news involved is a good idea
What a friggin’ shame Erik. It’s hard enough losing Jax and now this?? You’ve got every right to be furious.
"Built on Trust." The funeral biz is pretty cynical in general, but this seems over-the-top even for THAT profession.
I noticed that that paw print itself was quite large and wonder if the tech did pull the extra toes to the side not thinking
It appears to be a partial print. The creases on the lower pad seem to be Jax. The tech appears to have just pressed the center portion of the paw.
Nuf said.
The same thought crossed my mind as well that the entire paw was not pressed onto the paper.
Hey Eric so sorry for your loss. What i would do is send a sample of Jax ashes and fur to a DNA lab test to have it authenticated. Grab some fur from his bed and use that as the control. I’m so sorry for your loss and just know we are all here for you.
I totally agree with this. Fur from his brush or bed. And both the fur and the ashes they sent. It can be verified.
I'm so tired of scammers... they all need to drop dead.
That's just foul man. Thanks for exposing them and the truth about their deceit
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Even with human cremation is what you get , a questionable situation.
🙏❤️ Agree ❤️ 🙏
Thank-you so much for your very thoughtful comment.❤️ Have a bless Day.❤️

Jeeze, Eric, what a gut-punch! I hope everyone here is duly warned away from this scammy, disreputable company. So sorry!
So messed up. Never seen anyone love a pet as much as you love Jax. You handled it much better than I would have.
Sorry to hear about Jax. They did more than just drop the ball. Sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry! This is quite common.
Sorry for your loss Eric. Jax will be missed by all of us.
Eric, I am just soooo happy that you have his entire life documented on video. Take a paw print of Tara now and some hair. I have hair of my pets before burying them on my dad’s land.
That's a great idea.
I had the same thought
My cats paws were pressed into paper clay when I had mine cremated.
After watching this and seeing you so upset over the handling of Jax.
Dude your right to be upset.

🥺 I have absolutely no words. I can't imagine the pain you are feeling right now. I'm so sorry Eric.
So sorry for your loss. Having heard sad stories like yours when I lost my Molly last year we had her cremated at Kissimmee pet cremations they were so nice I put her into the chamber myself and waited, then the gentleman placed her ashes into the urn in front of me it is heart breaking not know if your pet is in
the urn.

Is it possible Jax fur would have made the 7 toe stamp be too smeared? I am hoping for a logical reason for this situation. I am so Sorry !!
Whoa. That's creepy (about the paw print being the same).
Excellent information, thank you.
I think so too. I've buried many a family pet in my day. I don't understand why anyone would need this company's service's. No one will ever care to personal details better than the owner. I know emotions are running high but you might think this through a bit. Honor Jax's memory .
These are the things people should be asking others about before blasting a company or trying to cancel them for views. 😑
Yeah but I think most are forgetting that they ADMITTED they "dropped the ball!"
In they're making that kind of acknowledgement
...somewhere THEY were

I’m so sorry for your loss and for being scammed, Eric 😢 thank you for making us all aware of this sham of a company. May Jax RIP!
Eric, just a thought . . . maybe you can get a good graphic artist to recreate what Jax's footprint should look like.
Great idea. Sure, it won't be EXACTLY the paw print, but it might help with some closure.
That is a good idea. He can use the video of when Eric had to put Jax down. That has a great shot of his paw in it.
This is exactly why I don't trust large companies.
Beware of transmission rebuild places, I know a lady that got scammed bad and beware of any automotive repair shop.
Okay Karen.....
I don't blame you! The problem is we all know about Jax and how we all loved him! Its not just a cat! I would sue them too, they need to taught a lesson.
@Spirit Love 🌈🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯
Its sad they are in that like of work! My dog is old and blind and I love her more every day and yes they are our furbabies.
You live with the memories, not the “stuff”.
Take care
She would be curious no matter whose fur was in that bag. Means nothing.
So sorry this happened, very sad,
I asked my vet who they use, they said they use a local cremation company .
Shame on Pet Angel’ . 💔
I would get the fur DNA tested and compared to some of Jax's fur from his old blanket. If the fur they gave you does not belong to Jax, I would sue the shit out of them. 😽
Yes, if nothing else, just to stop them from continuing this practice
Well that would be true if others hadn't come out and say they have the very same paw print.
They can't sue him for slander if what he's saying is the truth, and I for one believe him.
He was cool as need be
This comment is so wrong.
We are very fortunate to have a vet that does everything on site. I am so sorry that they did not honor Jax’s remains
All of our hearts are breaking for you. You did good by making this video. I have a little girl kitty like yours, and if it makes you feel better, she was the same way when she was younger. Never wanted to be held! That changes, eventually. She'll become a really good cuddle buddy in time. Just keep working at it. 🙂
Also, Jax is in your heart, and nobody can take they away from you!!!!!
How heartbreaking for you, Eric. We’ve been praying for you, Jax, and Tara every night. I’m so sorry.
I would be the biggest thorn in their side. I am so angry over this...im so sorry...
💔 I'm sorry all of this happened to you, it is truly heart wrenching 😢. Thankful you have a large platform to get this out!
I hope someone is able to take a picture of Jax paw when you were holding it as he passed, and someone is able to get it printed, (even in 3D would be awesome) and send it to you.
yeah if you have a detailed paw picture you can get a 3d print good idea
Actually when Jax passed on in the video, Eric is holding and shows the paw print clearly....it doesnt match
@@kimmorrison5564 I know that, not saying anything about that. I’m saying that hopefully someone is able to get a print out for Eric
He has mentioned Jax's extra toes in many videos in the past.
@@barbskurka6996 You’re correct. Everyone knew Jax had extra toes. Like he said they thought they could get away with what they had done thinking no one would know. That’s sad.
This is absolutely disgusting, so sorry to hear this about Jax.❤️
My heart break for you, thank God for you being strong enough to bring this out there, thereby saving someone the same pain ! May Jax rest in peace !
But she would also react if it was a strange cat's fur in her home.
Perhaps you could compare the paw print you received with other paw prints from the same company to see if they're just replicating the same print?
@mbcris that requires him to do work but he'd rather bash a company before getting all of the facts
Find you a space that's peaceful and Grieve.
So, so sorry your heartache had to be increased by such a horrible situation.
those are great ideas
Such great ideas. Especially the picnic table! ❤😻
Great ideas!
Oooo I'm pissed for you Eric. This is really upsetting.
Not Jax…..oh so so sorry for you. May your heart heal.
I have to agree with the numerous posts already… this video can come back and bite you legally. Pet Angel can put a lawsuit against you for defamation.
I would delete this video ASAP
Gimme a break
I will contact Pet Angel on Jax’s behalf. This company needs to be shut down if they can’t give you the truth. 😡❤️💔
My heart breaks for you. I just had one of my beloved babies of 19 years cremated. I hope you find peace soon.
I m so sorry to hear, but you have to believe that jax is always with you. His ashes are with you.
Eric, did you ever stop to think they didn't get ink on Jax's outer toes and that's why they didn't show up on the print?
Just sayin.
You got it Eric! Sending a message to Pet Angel to honor Jax! Because “him was a good boy” ❤️
Eric, I just left a scathing review on Facebook for pet angel. I didn't mention your name because I didn't have your permission to do so. But I described the situation in great detail. I definitely let them know that what they did to you was inexscusable! Love ya. Hugs. ❤
