i've heard slapshock live a few times. they were no joke. jamir's voice was so solid! for me, this song is for critics and haters that used to say this type of music is "so heavy and just noise," saying that they want "sensitivity" or perhaps softness or something more politically correct in lyricism. but this is rap metal and slapshock got so huge, even my parents sang along to it. so basically, no matter how hard you resist, slapshock will deliver to you "hardcore." and it'll stick to your bones, no matter how hard you try to "get away." meanwhile, slapshock is getting away from all the criticisms too and will just do what they do. that's the message for me.
