Need to find out who called them... because that is technically you guys were SWATTED. you do not call people with guns because you have a disagreement or a different opinion. someone could have been killed. THIS CALLER NEEDS TO GO TO JAIL. This is not funny.
In a perfect world , the FAA would turn around and bill the guy for all the man hours wasted because of filing a false report. Also welcome to the world of government official given a little authority.
That was just normal. Fals report could cause drama if concern officials miss other more important fact due to time loss. Just hope karma made his job.
It's just best to let a butt hurt person be butt hurt. Must be a miserable life, so unhappy, psychological impaired. These people are handicapped and will always be around. Wish we could get them help, but their always in denial. Bless you Jimmy, go drink a dew, makes all things better. Your Wesley Chapel neighbor. P.S. I thank you for not test flying your planes over my house. Your a good Man Sir.
There are unhappy people everywhere and the human desire to put everyone else in the same degree of misery is just pathetic nowadays. But goes to show you that no good deed goes unpunished warranted or not😒
We donated over $8,000 of supplies during the aftermath of IKE, and a local bar owner got upset because we basically made his efforts seem miniscule, but we were not there to stake sides. We were there to help those that were so drastically effected by that storm. YOU GO JIMMY!!!!!
See that's what sucks. That bar owner thought it was a competition... just cause you donated more.. that's pathetic.. your helping PEOPLE IN NEED AND IN CRISIS. It's not a competition.... it's giving its helping.. In 2011 I was on deployment in Africa when joplin missoiri got hit by tornado. It devastated me cause my dad was a lawyer for 34 yrs in joplin before his passing. The amount of help that came to joplin was AWESOME it totally made me cry... I practically grew up there as a kid. I came home on leave 2 weeks after the tornado. I spent a few days cutting wood for people and moving brush. I didn't have to , I did cause it was bigger then me. What Jimmy is doing is helping . Caring for the people of his state. I commend you sir.. God bless.
What blows me away is that despite the presumption of innocence, as soon as a "complaint" is received, that presumption goes out the window and and these agencies treat the the person or entity being investigated like crap. The agents puff their chests out and bully innocent people without any attempt to respect the presumption of innocence. In doing so, they are not protecting the public nor are they ensuring compliance. Shame on them.
I just have to say Jimmy you are a wonderful and compassionate person. I have never written or commented on a web site before but, I had to say something about this one. Your efforts are so unselfish and thoughtful it warms my soul to know that there are people like you still out there that thinks of others in a time of need. There is a special place in heaven for you and people like you. Keep doing what you are doing. some of us are amazed at the compassion of that is embedded in your heart. I am in Venice Florida and, I have damage all around me and see the good you all are doing.
After working in law enforcement for 30 years the only way to change the behavior of the complaining party and the enforcer is to personally complain and demand action until you are satisfied. The faa is mandated to do their job and no complaint about that but attitude is actionable. Also demand action taken to investigate the actual complaint for veracity and motive. All of which can be legally dealt with. If you do not continue to pursue then the behavior of both individuals will continue and harm others in the future. You have a duty to follow up until you are satisfied behavior has been corrected.
You always have to expect that no good deed goes unpunished! 🤬 I've had it happen, but I REFUSE to allow them to affect me long term. I love the fact that you're like "Oh, really? Watch me now, fool!!" Thanks, Jimmy and friends, for all you do! We luv ya!
I live in SW Florida. Thank you for sending supplies. People here needed it. I can assure you of that. We were in a world of hurt for a long time. Unfortunately, some still are. Again thank you and thank you to everyone who helped us out. The heartless, cold and allegedly evil shrew that ratted you out for helping should be embarrassed. Disgusting behavior.
As someone who lives in Charlotte County and works in Fort Myers, THANK YOU! We got our asses kicked. I made out better than many. The destruction is unbelievable! I'm sure I can speak from all of us, you are a gem, Thank you again! Keep that PM going on your twin. :) Safe Travels
Anyone who uses a government agency for personal revenge because they got butthurt should be charged and jailed. This is pure b.s. Great job Jimmy and Mike.
I can understand why they do accept them. Sometimes there are wistleblowers and they need to protected. So many Comepanies and Employers are abusing their workers.. or do shady things. I know those guys are doing so much and without getting paid, but there are some fakers out there that take Donations, take it to themselfs and maybe give 10% of what was donated to the people that need it.
@ninabriesch4184 whistleblowers can be protected, but an anonymous report should be investigated and if unsubstantiated, dismissed. To just take the anonymous report and go with it, is wrong.
@@ninabriesch4184 You can protect a whistleblower by not divulging the name of the complaintant, but you have to have a name of a complaintant because otherwise it opens up the field to harassment via government agency. Either that or anonymous complaints are taken at a much lower level of seriousness and a simple inquiry without a rectal examination should be the first order of business. That all could have been handled by a simple inquiry with the respondent stating that this is all volunteer and not even the fuel is being reimbursed.
People should have to make themselves identifiable to whomever they are making a complaint about. People are super nasty, when they can remain anonymous.
Brother I spent 17.5 years as a police officer. I have heard and seen a lot of really messed up things. Just when you have thought you had seen and heard it all…….. it amazes me to find that people have the orneriness to do a thing like that especially to a mission of compassion. The bad thing is people cannot or will not speak to each other and work out their problems. Continue the great work and God Bless you and your fellow pilots.
There is no god and all that matters in life is having as good a time as possible while helping others do the same, loving often and a lot, and learning all you can about the universe through VALID education and experimentation
Also you are a bad person due to your participation in the war on drugs. The state has no business telling adults what substances they are “allowed” to consume. The vast majority of recreationally used drugs are less harmful than alcohol and the only reason prohibition was passed was to criminalize African Americans and hippies.
Jimmy, there's always going to be haters and Karen's. This is what happens when you try to do something with good intentions and you're on social media to do it. Keep doing what you're doing.
Jimmy, I’ve owned my 310 for 22 years. In the early years I had a terrible problem with plug fouling. When I started leaning way way back immediately after start it stopped the problem. You Must do the same thing immediately after landing. Just make sure you go back to rich Just before take off.
I seem to recall the charity exception to private pilot privileges and limitations - "14 CFR 61.113(d) A private pilot may act as pilot in command of a charitable, nonprofit, or community event flight described in § 91.146, if the sponsor and pilot comply with the requirements of § 91.146."
You've got a good heart brother and just keep doing what you're doing. Unfortunately there's always those few people that are just miserable and wanna try to make everyone else miserable too but good people far outweigh them by a long shot. As always thanks for sharing the great videos with us all.
Yes, so that we can exact revenge upon the complainers. /s, but not really, as that's why the anonymous part is there. Mob rule sucks. The butthead in question got his lil' revenge on Mike, but the FAA figured it out, and that's the lesser of the two evils, even if you or others don't think so. Same for other types of reporting. Humans are pretty suck like that, unfortunately. :|
So you are saying that if someone complains, their name would need to be made public so taht there can be people that can attack them, or do things to make sure they get retributions against them for making a complaint?
@@av8or971 I'm saying that anyone who complains needs to be recorded. People say "revenge" but it's more accountability. Too many false complaints go unaddressed. Even in this case all the dude had to do was ask, however, I'm convinced that wasn't his intention. He didn't care if they weren't flying -135. He needs to be held accountable.
@@jerrylittle7797 however, if there were accountabilities for filing reports, or alerting authorities about someone that needed to be investigated by the person that filed the report, but the government deemed it not needed, then people would stop filing complaints about legitimate things, and then we would have school shootings of people that should have been reported that werent. there is no true answer, but giving up the name of the person filing the report is going to turn into revenge, and move violence ensues.
"14 CFR § 61.113 d) A private pilot may act as pilot in command of a charitable, nonprofit, or community event flight described in § 91.146, if the sponsor and pilot comply with the requirements of § 91.146." What is to question here? Jimmy, you were clearly operating within the parameters of your certificate. Keep up the good work!!! God bless you.
Problem is it that FISDO is to be informed prior to the event "At least seven days before the event, each sponsor of an event described in this section must furnish to the responsible Flight Standards office for the area where the event is scheduled"
§ 91.146 is about passenger-carrying community and non-profit events. Unless boxes of diapers, etc., qualify as passengers, which cargo in general does not, _and_ an event was being held involving them being given rides for some purpose, this is not an applicable section. There is inherently no restriction on a Part 91 pilot carrying whatever cargo he needs to within the scope of federal law, the legal limits of his ratings and the aircraft, etc.
@@buckmurdock2500 ?? What does 14 CFR 119 have to do with private flying? That is certification requirements for air carriers and operators transporting for compensation or hire--the aircraft operation itself. I suggest reviewing Advisory Circular 120-12A and the determinations made over decades of time with respect to what subjects an operation to Part 119. It doesn't apply here at all.
hey Jimmy So sorry a KAREN reported you it pisses me off when shit like this happens, we had the same thing happen in 08 after Haiti earthquake we had a 200 foot ship that we loaded up with 1 million pounds of goods for Haiti and got reported to coast guard miami because we are registered as a private yacht they held us 18 days until public outcry was so big they told us to bug off
Someone has always gotta be a heater. Sounds like when I did CPR on a old man that was having a heart attack and he ended up living, only to be sued by the same old man for medical bills. Keep up the good work buddy
Best way to head off any misunderstanding with FAA about "compensation or hire" is to look at the FAA's online interpretations about the subject. Money doesn't have to be exchanged in order to be considered. Hours flown to enhance name or brand recognition, hours towards added certificate or rating may be considered "compensation." Above all, DO NOT speak to the FAA without legal representation!! Everything you say, can and will be used against you. BEWARE!
There is a specific type of beurocreature, thaty always delights in applying the laws, in ways far outside the intentions of those that wrote them. Taken to the furthest extreme, every hour, even those flown in ab initio flight training could be considered "hours towards added certificates or ratings". I do get your point, but unless they want to go after everyone on UA-cam, who ever posted their first solo, and later had their channel monetized, then I'd hope that he'll be ok. I once heard of a fellow, who used to build multi time flying lawyers to remote locations for trials. For free. Not even sharing the costs for fuel. The story I heard, was that he was once accused of operating a commerecial charter service. It was just a misunderstanding, and went nowhere. All because he did however consult with his passengers en route , on certain issues regarding criminal investigation, for which he received compensation. Did I mention his passengers were lawyers? ; )
What that guy did was very illegal. You and Mike most definitely need to seek out the person that called the FAA hounds on you. What you and Mike are doing for those folks is admirable.
Some people need a wake up call. If they were in the same situation they would be screaming for someone to help them. Kudos to you and your friends for helping.
This is BS in that it discourages good deed’s. I recall PremierOneDriver going through a FAA situation (something about clearing the runway) that was posted on UTube and reported by a Karen. - Sad.
The inspector in this instance needs to reign it in as well. Just because you get a for all intents and purpose a unanimous tip about a unlicensed 135 op a simple friendly ramp check would clear everything up. When inspectors roll in hot assuming you’re guilty and treating you or your friend as a felon wasting essentially a whole business day really says a ton of that inspectors ability to think, and how small of a person they really are when they try to throw around some inflated sense of their authority in your face for nothing else other than their own edification. These type of inspectors are the ones that give the FAA a bad name. I know you’re probably trying to take the high ground but a discussion with their supervisor might be warranted. If nothing else it would hopefully help that inspector be better going forward if they received the correct counseling.
I assume you meant anonymous tip. This was a case of presumed guilty until proven innocent, not a good way to go but very common these days among law enforcement officials.
Wouldn't it be nice if people who make unsubstantiated claims were held accountable $$$$ for the waisted tax payer dollars they created. Maybe they would think twice before picking up the phone.
Some People are so jealous covetous and Evil. I am sorry these people have done this to you. You go out of your way and at your own expense and malevolent people just can't contain their wicked emotions. GOD bless your efforts in helping these people.
Maybe it’s been mentioned but there is another UA-camr named Stevokinevo. Spelling could be wrong, however what a fantastic channel, he was also reported to the FAA. It seemed to make things very difficult for him. He doesn’t post as much as he use to.
That's the problem with aviation content. Every aviation creator I have seen has been reported to the FAA for something in a video. I have friends that refuse to post any flying videos for this sad reason.
God Bless you and your flying friends for helping Floridians with their recovery Jimmy!!!!! Praying for all impacted by Ian this year!!!!! Hopefully in the near future I can do something to help where I possibly can?
Thanks for all the you guys do. I am also a Pilot (USAF 22 years F-16C and C-130H) with over 4000 hours. I wish I could help but I am swamped with work and family. I will donate money, for sure. Keep it straight and level, fellas.
Thank you for the humanitarian efforts! So sad that someone had to get their panties in a bunch over it. I'm in Port Charlotte and the Red Cross, Home Depot, and many other local companies helped us make it through the rebuilding process. About 1/5 of the homes in our village were destroyed and every one had some kind of damage. We were one of the few lucky ones who still have a roof over our heads so thank you so much for thinking of others and sorry you had to go through the process of proving you were not operating illegally. I also use Upside, great for not only fuel but groceries and at some restaurants too.
Thanks for helping out Jimmy. I live in Englewood, right about where Ian came ashore, and we're getting back to normal here. I know that Ft Myers and that area are still having major problems due to the storm surge, having 10+ feet of salt water flooding your neighborhood will wreak havoc on everything for long after the water level drops. People like you guys are truly a blessing at times like these. Us Florida Men may get a bad rep, but when it counts most of us stand up. Then there's the opposite end of things. The rear end, so to speak. The guy that reported you guys is the worst type of subhuman POS imaginable, and that type will always show up whenever disaster strikes. Like vultures, or even better, maggots, they'll feed off of others loss. Same type as the price gougers, the fake contractors that take down payments and disappear or looters, they'll show up after every storm. They usually end up getting caught, and I hope that happens here as well.
A. There better be a penalty for making frivolous complaints like this B. Any “enforcement” agency should have to follow a warrant process to demand to see anything more than your certificate and start a fishing expedition. If it’s required for regular law enforcement it should be required for the FAA.
Tell you what, I run a charity hear in France and because I'm not french I get so many bad reviews that I can't even rase any money to do my work, I pay for evrething my self and have basically completely given up asking for help. It's reductions the world we live in today. Clear props to you and your work, you are helping a lot of people that wouldn't have the things you are taking there. If it was left to people like the one fals reporting you, all them people down there would probably die so no dont listen to the bad people. It's hard enoth without them. Dont give up man. Good luck
The FFA is just a government money grabbing joke. A friend of mine is a certified Yamha tech, and he showed me hydraulic motor for your tilt and trim was about 90 bucks. And the same motor for a airplane was over 600 bucks the only deference was a sticker with FAA on it!
Following regulations is time intensive and costly. I am working in healthcare manufacturing sector in Europe. The effort for implementing a quality management system, the amount of procedures, records you have to create is a lot. Advantage: you can verify that a part is manufactured at a defined quality. Disadvantage: it multiplies costs. We as a society have to decide if we want to reduce risks or cost. Do we really want to increase accidents and fatalities?
@@ronaldbilar7503The difference is that every piece of the FAA certified pump can be traced all the way back to the raw materials that were used to create it. Every step of every process from raw material to completed part is documented with where and when it was done and who did it (company and person), including the inspections, inspectors, and inspection results along the way. We have a saying in aircraft manufacturing: The plane doesn't fly until it's paperwork weighs as much as the airplane.
I’ve got to disagree with you on the faa. They use to be about safety, now they take 9 months to process a new registration after a aircraft purchase but they have all the time in the world to demand logs, investigate something that equates to a false report and hearsay. Here’s what happened to me… I get a call from an faa investigator wanting to know why I was flying low over houses. I ask when was this… she wouldn’t tell me, until I basically said, I can’t answer that question till I know what date. During the conversation she talks about how there’s video footage and how the cops talked to me… so now I’m really confused because I was never contacted by law enforcement. I finally get the date out of her, and the engine had been pulled off my plane for cracked cylinders 2 weeks prior and the engine was still off at the shop at the time of her interview. At this point I’m like someone is lying, either the faa or the complainant. So I ask if I can see the footage, she admits at that point she hasn’t seen the footage and that I won’t be able to see it unless they take action against me… little does she understand the FOIA, so I foia’d the entire file against me which included the complainant name and the footage. Here’s the kicker, it wasn’t even my plane in the footage, you couldn’t make out the n-number but you can obviously tell it’s a Super Cub in the video and I fly a pacer. But here’s the big kicker, the footage was of that plane landing at an airport, so even if the accusation was legitimate, the act of flying low to land isn’t a violation. Needless to say, no action was taken against me, but here’s my issue, they take an incomplete complaint and run with it, expecting you to give up your 4th amendment rights, in a fashion of you are guilty until proven innocent. They jump on hearsay, incomplete complaints that aren’t even violations to begin with using what they consider evidence that would never be admissible in a criminal court much less a civil court, but somehow the ntsb court sided with the faa 98% of the time. I have no doubt that had they chosen to take action, I would have lost in ntsb court, forced to appeal to an actual court, where the charges would have been dismissed without a single hearing. I don’t trust them, won’t speak to them, they aren’t your friend and their vision of safety is a guise!
This is silly. ADSB ID's the aircraft positively. The offending aircraft should have been ID'd right off the bat. Why didn't you address this in your story?
@@BostonBuzz to be id by adsb you must have adsb and be in an area that has the ground antennas or in a radar environment. I dont have adsb, most here in Alaska don’t… I personally won’t ever install it. It’s not for safety either, it’s an Avenue to bill for airspace use that will be used against you. I’ve got two separate friends that have adsb who flew thru one of the national parks at a 1000’, hit letters from parks threatening action against them for flying less then 2000 agl based on their adsb. The sender from a government agency, thought the word asked to fly 2000 agl or higher was a requirement. But again, had I had adsb, it was at a airport, the guy in the video, was practicing go arounds at a state airport. Adsb would have simply showed I was there not vindicated me.
Years(and years) ago, my friend was taking his check ride with the FAA guy. They were approximately 100 miles frome home base and the FAA said set it down on that bush field. My friend said no, there are too many big rocks poking up through the snow. The FAA said I am ordering you to land, or fail your test. The pilot landed and then told the idiot to get out. After threats from both he got out , my friend took off, went to base, went home and flew for over 40 years without a license!!
@@shadowscall7758 in the 70s I did a checkriide with FAA out of Orlando. FAA and my instructor had a go around over some new regulations. 3 hours of night flight had just been added, one argued it was with instruction and the other said it only required 3 hour did not specify .
Jimmy… one Acronym… FOIA. Request the complainants’ complaint. The FAA, under the Freedom of Information Act, must provide an unreacted copy of the complaint filed to the requesting party. There is absolutely no provision of privacy, to those filing a complaint, when making a public complaint to a public agency. And they, if it can be shown, could also then be investigated as a nuisance complaint, if there is enough evidence to support the abuse of federal resources. Best of luck, and people like that need a wake-up call to bring them back to normal land.
@Ahmed Lamborghini Who said anything about Doxxing? Simply put, it can be done the way things should be done - quietly and professionally. Otherwise, you’re no better than the person who created the nuisance complaint.
@@Aphxphotog 🤷♂️ How bout they pull the FOI and discuss with the original complainant. If he/she responds well, problem solved. If he/she is an asshat, well…may as well let everyone know.
I had a US CBP officer accuse me of doing illegal charter in Ft. Pierce. I flew a Part 91 King Air B200 to Exhuma, dropped the owner off and returned. His wife was already there and sent a bag back with clothing in it for me to return and leave in their vehicle. Upon clearing customs, the agent questioned me about the bag. I let him know that it belonged to the owner of the aircraft. He was adamant that I needed a 135 certificate to have that bag on the aircraft and it was freight. I respectfully disagreed and recommended that he contact the FSDO for clarification. The phone call lasted about 1 minute, and I could tell the FAA inspector was more than annoyed at the CBP officer. No further questions were asked and I went on my way.
Remember an America where people were taught to mind their OFB? Or an America where congress didn't turn its responsibilities over to powerful bureaucracies we didn't vote for with unlimited unchecked power....?
Jimmy, take it from someone with over 5800 hours in C-310's, Barons, and other light and medium twins (flew them for over 8 years on Part 135 Charter before switching to corporate) - always lean your mixtures on the ground "until the RPM's peak". (after engine start, after landing). Our Director of Maintenance congratulated me on get 600 hours (cleaned every 100 hr inspection) from spark plugs when our other pilots barely got 400 on theirs (we were assigned our own aircraft, with few exceptions). Your injectors and associated lines, pumps, adjustments, etc., are set such that "FULL RICH" gives you sufficient fuel for starting the engines in the "coldest of possible temperatures" - once started, all that extra fuel only makes the cylinders run cooler and/or contributes to spark plug fouling. And since we're on the subject, it's a bad habit/practice to enrichen the mixtures in the descent "more than necessary for smooth engine operation" for the same reasons. Don't take my word for it... do a little research like I did.
Some pilots are taught not to bother with the mixture control at idle, because, depending on the type of fuel metering system the airplane uses, the mixture control may do absolutely nothing at idle. These include the Lycomings that use Bendix fuel injection. They have a separate idle circuit with its own mixture control located conveniently under the cowling where it’s out of the pilot’s reach. It’s meant to be set during engine tuning and left alone. These engines will foul plugs if idled for long periods, and the only prevention is periodically running up the engine to clear the cylinders out. The Continental engines used in the 310s and Barons use Continental’s proprietary fuel injection system which does not suffer from this problem. You can and should lean these engines at idle, particularly when idling for long periods, but watch your CHT. Much of the extra fuel on the Lycomings is for evaporative cooling.
In civilian life, there are penalties for filing false police reports. I wonder if Mike can find a way to have the FAA investigate the false and malicious report. Mike lost a lot of time and effort. Could that time have been used elsewhere? There was probably additional charges at the FBO since Mike was stuck down there longer than expected. This is also similar to illegal swatting. Clearly, the report was highly biased for the FAA to go after Mike so aggressively without any other information. I'm sure others in the aviation field can help you two out.
those who think like that are (unwanted) wing at a moment (if you understand me) -- don't ask how i know (the decade will be interesting) 🙄 unfortunately!
Why HOURS of questioning by the FAA? Once the FAA verified that everything was legit, was there an apology, even help to facilitate the supplies airlift? What happened to the fellow that reported them to the FAA without any proof? Was there a consequence for the false accusation? Does he get to walk free? No laps around the airport, carry the heaviest of supply loads?
It would be appropriate if this would actually happen. You can't just do it and expect there will be no consequences if proven wrong. Where is 'Justice' here?
When I worked at a Cessna dealer, we would always keep an eye out for the FAA. We sarcastically called the FAA, the "Friendlies". Whoever first saw the FAA on the ramp would say: "The Friendlies are here". That was our warning that until they left, we would receive no help from them, only derision. In all the time I was working as an A&P mechanic, the FAA never once helped out in any way. The FAA is another disappointing government agency that grounds aircraft rather than help keep them flying. 🤨🙁😮
Had same issue with an individual Fishing Guide. I was taking 1st Responders and Military out on free fishing trips for a Non Profit. The non Profit also qualified for a Group Fishing Permit from the state and so I was able to take them out totally free to them This Charter/Guide did not like it as he claimed to do the same thing but I was taking business away from him so he filed a complaint with the USCG. State & Federal Fish & Wildlife and the local authorities for running an unlicensed charter. Holy Crap the shit storm that he created was a pain in the ass to say the least Sorry you had to go through this. Damn Trolls
@@KILLKING110 I am not aware of any Here is the problem. If he reported it based on belief that something was truly wrong then he is not liable for any actionable recourse, and typically those that report crimes are not disclosed unless what they reported goes to court. Yes I agree it was malicious but how can I prove it None the less it is water under the bridge. All agencies investigated and nothing was found to be wrong.
Been an A&P for 35 years and a pilot for 30 and have had many good run ins with the FAA. From accident investigations to ramp checks, they have been professional and productive. Not to say I haven’t run into the occasional inspector with something to prove but it has always been resolved with a call to my FSDO to their FSDO. Some FSDOs are great and some aren’t but you have to learn to use the system and not be afraid to confront them. Do yourself a favor and go to an IA seminar sometime and get to know your local FSDO guys. They can really save your ass in experiences like this.
Whom ever did that (reported to the FAA) is a simple POS. Just on his actions, you can tell several things. One, none of his problems, personal or professional are EVER his fault, it's always someone else's. This person does not take responsibility for anything, always someone else's fault. Guaranteed to have had a divorce or two. Generally mean demeanor, vengeful. In short, nothing better to do that attempt to cause someone else to suffer, which in turn brings him joy and satisfaction. Put simple a mean possibly evil person who views themselves as always the victim. Screw that guy. If he walks up to you just tell him to F off. Then when he doesn't, just call the cops to get him away from you. Attempt to film it though, he will lie instantly to get one over on you. Jimmy, keep being a good guy and helping others, it's awesome and I appreciate you and your actions. Wish more people would do it. In my old job it was simply known as selfless service.
It’s a shame no good deed goes unpunished Jimmy. Sorry to hear the faa story but Thank You so much for helping the people here in Fort Myers. It’s been a God send to see everyone coming together and helping one another.
Jimmy, when taxiing pull the mixture back about half way to cutoff. My O-360 used to foul plugs all the time when taxiing with full rich mixture. After I changed to half no more fouled plugs.
So fouled plugs- media blast, air clean media off, check resistance between 500 ohms and 5 kohms, plug gap, check wires for resistance and intermittent when moved slightly. That should reveal any problem other than magneto or valve/compression issues. Note always carry a couple of your old clean serviceable plugs or new ones just in case. Having a little service kit with oil, basic tools and things you might need in a remote area is a good idea. We should get Mike Busch to come up with a list of essentials for a kit to carry in the plane.
So, after receiving a complaint against you, the FAA's judicial process is to require you to prove your innocense. I see. Then what is the FAA's penalty against a person making a false accusation?
I think congress should make a new law that state if a persons causes a unjustified arrest or penalty on another person then it should be a min 1 year sentence for false aligations
THEY HAVE TO PROVE YOU RECEIVED MONEY! ALL THAT OTHER STUFF THE FAA AND IRS DID WAS (UNLAWFUL) IF THE CHARGE WAS ILLEGALLY OPERATING A COMMERCIAL FLIGHT.
Seems ridiculous that the FAA takes that long to discover what is really happening. It appears they might need some better investigators. No good deed goes unpunished as they say.
What's ridiculous to me is that the FAA conducted any kind of an investigation considering that the caller had no evidence whatsoever to substantiate his claims. Call the cops and tell them your neighbor's selling drugs. See if they investigate. They'll tell you to mind your business unless you have some actual, compelling evidence. However as I've been writing this comment it did occur to me that... If you call the cops and tell them that your neighbor has a gun they'll probably send SWAT to surround the house and break down the door, without ever asking if you saw the gun being used for something illegal...
There is always an a****** in any community, I'm just sorry it was ours. God bless you and your family and your efforts you're making a fine example of us
Complaints filed with the FAA should be public record. Maybe someone could share this person's name and address so that we might share our opinion with him.
I was an FAA ODA at Honeywell Aerospace. I’m the guy that issued 8130-3 Airworthiness Certificates on parts. Retired now, but really enjoyed the work. Got my fixed wing license at Plant City in 1993.

So whats wrong with flying help to the hurricane victims. And isnt it a felony to bullshit federal agency just because?
Any authority is a drag in any career.
God bless.
I can't imagine how miserable a person would have to be to report someone for hauling diapers. Might needs some himself.
Someone like that needs tampons, not diapers
The crank who called the false alarm needs to be prosecuted with the same prejudice as anyone who reports a false alarm to the fire department.
Government overreach….
I've had it happen, but I REFUSE to allow them to affect me long term.

An anonymous complaint should never be accepted by any gov/agency. The person making the complaint should face a civil lawsuit.
@@ninabriesch4184 not if you’re weaponizing the complaint/whistleblowing.. fix that part.
@ninabriesch4184 whistleblowers can be protected, but an anonymous report should be investigated and if unsubstantiated, dismissed. To just take the anonymous report and go with it, is wrong.
I bet it was a liberal demonrat that complained !!
I could have swore it was already part of the US Constitution.. the 6th Amendment where the accused has a right to face their accuser.

I seem to recall the charity exception to private pilot privileges and limitations -
"14 CFR 61.113(d) A private pilot may act as pilot in command of a charitable, nonprofit, or community event flight described in § 91.146, if the sponsor and pilot comply with the requirements of § 91.146."

This is a perfect example of why there should be no such thing as "anonymous" complaints for any reason. Any. Reason.
There is nothing in 119.1 that exempts carrying supplies to a hurricane stricken area from the provisions of Part 119.
Did I mention his passengers were lawyers? ; )
This isn’t the first time a UA-cam vlogger who is having a fun time with airplanes has been reported to the FAA by a non-flying troll.
What that guy did was very illegal.
You and Mike most definitely need to seek out the person that called the FAA hounds on you.

Your 100% right, absolutely follow up on a complaint… but there is a right way and a wrong way to do that. They did it the wrong way.

You are truly a patriot...
Karen's and Ken's are getting outa hand. Takes a selfish child's mind to report someone over humanitarian efforts of any kind.
They usually end up getting caught, and I hope that happens here as well.
right on man! I'll be making an announcement soon about a huge run of supplies with multiple aircraft!
A. There better be a penalty for making frivolous complaints like this
That’s unfortunate Jimmy. Keep up the good work!
Here’s what happened to me…
I get a call from an faa investigator wanting to know why I was flying low over houses.
@Not Sure haha I’m gonna use that leaded gas one… lol
Thank you Jimmy for the support after Hurricane Ian
The guy that filed the false report should be charged legally and charged for FAA time
Idiots are everywhere, keep up Jimmy👍👍👍
I'm gonna call the FAA to see if it's legal to fly while impersonating Freddie Mercury...
Haha underrated comment for sure

Years(and years) ago, my friend was taking his check ride with the FAA guy. They were approximately 100 miles frome home base and the FAA said set it down on that bush field. My friend said no, there are too many big rocks poking up through the snow. The FAA said I am ordering you to land, or fail your test. The pilot landed and then told the idiot to get out. After threats from both he got out , my friend took off, went to base, went home and flew for over 40 years without a license!!
You never, ever go to the FAA for a check ride! find a "designed examiner" It was a tough 3 hours, but I got my license.
The FAA doesn't do checkrides.
@shadowscall7758 Maybe not now, but where I lived, they were the only authority to authorize a license.
Do you mean designated. @@itjustlookslikethis
Great idea!!!

What a hateful person. Jimmy we love what you do, keep doing you. Don't let anyone stop you.
Yes!
Thank you for helping Fort Myers! We need all of the help we can get at the moment.
There should be federal consequences for those filing false reports.
those who think like that are (unwanted) wing at a moment (if you understand me) -- don't ask how i know (the decade will be interesting) 🙄 unfortunately!
FAA/FBI both sides of the same coin
Yes sir wants they see that someone filed a false report to the FAA they should turn around on them hold them accountable for the false information
Thank you for helping us out in a very bad situation
good on you jimmy and mike for the help you guys did for the people at Fort Myers ... very big thumbs up
Aviation's version of SWATing shame on them and the FAA for not recognizing it.
Had same issue with an individual Fishing Guide.
I was taking 1st Responders and Military out on free fishing trips for a Non Profit.
The non Profit also qualified for a Group Fishing Permit from the state and so I was able to take them out totally free to them
This Charter/Guide did not like it as he claimed to do the same thing but I was taking business away from him so he filed a complaint with the USCG. State & Federal Fish & Wildlife and the local authorities for running an unlicensed charter. Holy Crap the shit storm that he created was a pain in the ass to say the least
Sorry you had to go through this.
Damn Trolls
Did he face any reprocussions because if he didn't then the system is truly broken
@@KILLKING110 I am not aware of any
Here is the problem. If he reported it based on belief that something was truly wrong then he is not liable for any actionable recourse, and typically those that report crimes are not disclosed unless what they reported goes to court.
Yes I agree it was malicious but how can I prove it
None the less it is water under the bridge.
Angry and Ready To Go... That's the Best Way to Stand up to the Haters!! God Bless.
Are you kidding??? Anybody who did this should be ashamed of themselves.
Remember that there are petty peeps
a Karen from California didn't like Floridians helping each other by using their own airplanes, unity is well hated in this strange days.
People such as you've described are called a Karen or Kevin, sometimes Ken. It's an entire UA-cam genre.
It’s a shame no good deed goes unpunished Jimmy. Sorry to hear the faa story but Thank You so much for helping the people here in Fort Myers. It’s been a God send to see everyone coming together and helping one another.
Reported for an act of charity! Some people are irredeemable.
11:00 is about where he starts his FAA story...
11:20 is when the discussion about the complaint starts
I hope that you guys plan on litigation. Both with the person that made the false claim, and with the FAA for mishandling the whole thing.
So, after receiving a complaint against you, the FAA's judicial process is to require you to prove your innocense. I see. Then what is the FAA's penalty against a person making a false accusation?
EXACTLY"
Like it or not, that’s the way it works. The quickest route to freedom is to be super cooperative until they go away.
Innocent until proven guilty has taken a left turn right over by Karen.
I think congress should make a new law that state if a persons causes a unjustified arrest or penalty on another person then it should be a min 1 year sentence for false aligations
what an AWESOME 310! She's beautiful! - and you sir for both flying her and appreciating her. Safe Sky's and God bless you for doing this service!
So many Karens in this world.
There is always an a****** in any community, I'm just sorry it was ours. God bless you and your family and your efforts you're making a fine example of us
Thank you for helping-out those people! 💙
This is a swatting, plain, and simple.
Seems like you can't do anything nice in this country anymore... WTF...
Complaints filed with the FAA should be public record. Maybe someone could share this person's name and address so that we might share our opinion with him.
And kick his ass
I was an FAA ODA at Honeywell Aerospace. I’m the guy that issued 8130-3 Airworthiness Certificates on parts. Retired now, but really enjoyed the work. Got my fixed wing license at Plant City in 1993.
I'm seriously surprised at how many haters have popped up here. Wow...people must have very sad lives to criticize what Jimmy is doing.
