Friends first before business! If your friendship crumbles, so does this channel. It's a balancing act, but there's a way to maintain an equilibrium between the personal and the professional. We're all rooting for you two to succeed. 頑張れ 加油!
Hi guys! Hope you guys enjoy the beautiful night view in Shibuya. Should we film outdoor more often? Also if you haven't watched our last episode, please check it out. It was a cute episode! Somehow the platform is not delivering it to most of you guys. Have a nice week!
Oh yes more rooftop videos! The background and ambient noises are nice. Also if anyone here hasn’t seen their last video GO WATCH! It’s so good! Dumb UA-cam thought it was too sexy and buried it
Hearing about your heartbreak was heartbreaking 😢 Also “relationshit” is a beautiful word that needs to be mainstream. I hope your UA-cam baby grows up to be a very happy doctor. I will never order “juice” the same again 🤢
I actually have no idea how old you two are. I'm going to say late 20's / early 30's? Andrew seems like an incredibly creative, caring and confident person. I don't actually see him as a bottom. He actually gives off a top-vibe. Maybe he should try that? He seems like he's got a lot of "rules" about what he likes/doesn't like. It protects him, from being vulnerable and potentially "failing". He's definitely relationship material, but he has to be willing to learn to grow "with" the other person, instead of assuming that he has to grow "before" he's ready for a relationship. Meng is lost in the fairy tale that Prince Charming will come and sweep him off his feet and then life will be happy. Newsflash: that is usually a recipe for unmet expectations. People are messy and relationships are a LOT of work. Lots of gay guys give up after 2 years when the high of the "limerence" phase ends and you have to start dealing with their shortcomings. I've been together for 32 years. You marry the same person every day. You are never going to be "ready". No relationship is ever going to be "perfect". You commit to having a relationshipo over and over again. But the most important part: YOU DO NOT NEED A RELATIONSHIP TO BE FULFILLED AS A PERSON! I have been together with the same guy for 32 years. In a lot of ways, I envy people who have had lots of shorter relationships over time. There is more variety and a different kind of learning and growing that happens. It gets hard to make friends as you get older. And no relationship is guaranteed for life. Be thankful that you have learned so much from each other. You are both very inspiring! Cheers, Dr. Rumsey... The Old F@g from Salt Spring...
Thank you so much sir. Actually this is exactly how I see Andrew and myself. Your comment is a great confirmation

Meng's family history and how they went from rich to peasants is actually surprisingly similar to my own. Interesting. Also it was kinda sad hearing about how your relationship changed after the channel :/ Hopefully it can get better again in the future 🤞🏼
Meng appears to want to be a male Cinderella waiting for the Prince to show up and select him from all the others. The Prince must be a Prince and have demonstrable financial assets for Meng to assess. However, what does the Meng have that the Prince wants in a long terms relationship? I learned, you have to choose and not wait to be chosen. If rejected, choose another. It is funny how we seek out jobs, handle, rejection, and regroup BUT don't apply the same to the relationship aspects of our lives.
I like the part where Andrew brings but psychology of “Attachment” anxiety this is such a relatable attribute & I like how honest you guys are talking about this anxiety which many gay men experience. I’ve been reading books about how gay men experience their first relationships & rejection etc I haven’t made it thru all your content yet! There is so much!
Really enjoyed this video ✨ Because you were talking about therapy, I would love to hear more about that. Is it easy to find a therapist who is queer friendly or to get a spot at all? And is it taboo/normal to talk about going to therapy in Japan?
I don't think that there is only one person for everyone in the world but I do think that you can have a love of your life that will never repeat once it's gone. You can become happy again and even love again but it will never be the same as it was with that one person. It's like you become imprinted on that one person or the kind of relationship you had and no matter how hard you try, this imprint will always stay with you. I've seen it times and times again, with members of my own family with friends, and with also myself. Time heals all wounds but the love of your life never truly goes away. Like how could you forget having loved someone so deeply?
This is my first comment and I'm writing because I subscribed since the very first video of yours I saw (I think it was last month, or maybe February) and I thought I'd give you some encouragement lol. This was a fun video; it was nice learning more about you two and I want to give both of you a virtual hug for being so open and genuine on your channel. Also, I've actually met Andrew before, more than 10 years ago in Tokyo, through a mutual friend. It was only the one meeting but it was a fun group! That's why when I watched my first Tokyo BTM video I was like, '"Why do I feel like I know this guy...?" Lol. Turns out we've met. Nice to see you're doing well, Andrew!
I love this episode! Love the surprisingly honest answers and also the backdrop! I have friends like you who I share responsibilities of tasks/projects with. I understand how that changes your friendship. But hopefully you still love each other and you are more like family than just friends who do only the fun stuff together.
Thank you for this video, guys ! 😍 Please take the time to rest mentally from the channel. This project has been great and I always learn a lot, but it shouldn't come at the expense of your peace of mind or your friendship. 🤗 Also.. I would love a video where you guys talk a bit more about how you're working on these videos.. Who does what... How do you approach partners.. How has it been working with those different bars.. We can easily read on working with Japanese people in general, but you are working with querer people, and queer business.. So it would be interesting to know how it's like. Thank you again for the effort you put in these videos! つかれさまでした
I love how honest, vulnerable, and jovial you both were in this video. The outdoor park-like setting was also a nice change. I can relate to Andrew in many ways when it comes to dating issues. 😄 Lastly, please never let egos and any other challenges jeopardize your friendship and this UA-cam channel which I have come to enjoy so much. This channel helped me get throughout the pandemic - especially the early days of lockdown. 💙
i would like to see mengs face everyday. 😍. based on my experiences i would never say that there is just one "mr. right" in the world at all. the problematic point is to let go a relationship with someone you thought it is mr. right. so there is always another "mr. right" for you.
Love you vulnerable and open you guys were in this video. I think that honesty is something unique to your channel that makes you guys so addicting to watch! In the last couple weeks since I found your channel, I've been binge watching all of your videos and I can't get enough. Love you guys and keep up the good work, you're awesome!
Thank you both for being so open with us! Also the insight about Avoidance Attachment style (Did I get that right?) is really insightful and hit a chord in me to chew on. I really appreciate that.
One assumption people might have is you are not approachable because you are gay famous! Haha but rest assured everyone haha I met both Andrew and Meng in person individually during pride and you were both super friendly and easy to talk to! Hope to run into you guys again!
Thanks for sharing so much about your intertwined lives. Your personalities complement each other and make your videos very informative and entertaining. It's like I experience gay Japan vicariously through your adventures. I'm envious of your proficiency in Japanese. Hi from Edmonton, Canada! Wishing you much success in the months and years to come!
Hi Twin Andrew! Just did few online tests to check my attachment style and three out of four reveal 'Your Personality Type: Fearful-Avoidant Attachment Style' Haha
I’m pretty sure that I am subscribed to your channel already, but really, I don’t need to be. I wake up each Tuesday morning and look forward to your new video, something to view while I’m having my first coffee. I never know what topic to expect, but they’re always entertaining and thoughtful. Looking forward to hearing about your Pride last weekend.
Wow, thank you both for being so candid and honest with us. I had assumed when i first joined that you two were in a relationship. You addressed that several times later on without my having to ask. I am glad you addressed these.
I'm an avoidant style too but only started therapy this year, so seeing Andrew be so open really gives me hope TwT thanks for the fun video as always guys お疲れ様~
really like this episode,,, the outdoor location is just wonderful for some weird yet faintly satisfying reason, the word that really got stuck in my mind after watching is ,,,,,juices ( natural of course)
Guys, I have been watching since your first few vlogs. You are both terrific individuals, we all have to grow, change & adapt throughout our lives, and so too must our relationships (work, friendships, love, sex). Just be YOU! Nice video! There were a lot of important topics discussed, and it's really good you guys are able to openly discuss these topics with each other. I think your friendship has reached another level!~
You guys worry me - are you not getting along as well as you used to?? I'd be so upset if that was true! Love the subjects you guys go after, the people you go after, and your repartee is priceless! I so miss gay wit and repartee. This was highly interesting! Learning a bit more about you two boys! Still love you both! Keep well, and keep each other as best friends. Please . . .
Hearing about how your relationship has changed makes me wonder if you ever wish it could go back to when it was simpler and you were just great friends instead of also being business partners. Love the vids!
I think it’s so insightful now you say your partnership/friendship is like a marriage after you have kids. I love my husband so much and he’s my best friend, but our friendship and relationship shifted so much because we now have a new focus - our son- who takes priority over our own relationship. Between those beautiful legs, sexy smile, and perpetual hug-me posture it's just a matter of time before you meet your next heart-throb.
I would have also accepted ASSumptions 🫢 In regards to pondering on your ex relationships, I totally get you Meng. I often wonder if I acted differently with my ex's things will be different. There is definitely someone perfect out there for you! They're most likely in this comment section. 😘
love how you two open about yourself and be honest about it :) everybody is different from experience, education, culture, etc. and it all shape and make "us'' now.
Hey guys-- I have been a fan and a subscriber since the very beginning. And I still maintain that you host the best gay-themed channel on UA-cam! Certainly my favorite. Your episodes are always completely authentic (i.e., truthful), and in this one you were both so vulnerable too. The world so needs the qualities you 2 bring to your camera, now more than ever. Thank you for what you do. 😘❤ Now I've got to go find your "previous video" that you alluded to that UA-cam apparently buried.....
Y'all answered my attachment style assumption! Thank you for the great content and I'm lowkey surprised I guessed right. It just goes to show how authentic and vulnerable you both are during your videos. ❤
you both are very open and sincere, you don*t pretend to be someone you're not. I bet you help a lot of gay people by talking about your (love) life and other japanese stuff. I enjoy watching your channel and I am super sure there will be the one and only love of your life out there. maybe you find each other through youtube. but for you to have each other as a trustworthy friend you can always talk to is a big gift. enjoy your life.
Friends first before business! If your friendship crumbles, so does this channel. It's a balancing act, but there's a way to maintain an equilibrium between the personal and the professional. We're all rooting for you two to succeed. 頑張れ 加油!

Yes I'd like more outside/nature backdrop videos in the future videos!
Yes, please film outside more. The weather is getting better everyday.
Yes pls more outdoor background 🙂
outdoor, indoor, cruising site, sauna. preferably where tops are
Guys, this is incredibly transparent, incredibly brave, and deeply appreciated.
Hearing about your heartbreak was heartbreaking 😢 Also “relationshit” is a beautiful word that needs to be mainstream. I hope your UA-cam baby grows up to be a very happy doctor.
I will never order “juice” the same again 🤢
Thank you for your support Ryan!
I love that you just gave honest responses without trying to sugarcoat them with fake positivity. That's very refreshing and makes it more relatable.

Also it was kinda sad hearing about how your relationship changed after the channel :/ Hopefully it can get better again in the future 🤞🏼
I feel you Meng. I am going through a heartbreak now too… it is hard to imagine being as lucky again in the future 😢
Oh no Renan! It must be very difficult. We need to stay hopeful, but it's also ok to not be ok👌👌

@@TokyoBTM we totally did. We all watched a Britney Spears documentary together. Fun times XD

I'm subscribed, I promise ❤️ loved this episode and I think Meng read my comment, thank youuuu ❤️ love you guys!!!!
Yes! I love reading everyone's comment. It gives me so much positive energy. Thanks for writing again
“Freshly squeezed juice” 🤣🤣🤣
I love how honest, vulnerable, and jovial you both were in this video. The outdoor park-like setting was also a nice change.

Talking so openly about such personal things takes a lot of courage. Really wonderful video guys x
I want a part two! You two are so entertaining together
Glad I stumbled on this
Not the "freshly squeezed" juices 🤣🤣🤣 I canNOT
Thanks for your banter and gentle spirits

You guys always put a smile on my face. 🤓
Binge-watching Tokyo BTM this weekend!
I love you both.
Hope you enjoyed it!
I love your openness. I hope this channel doesn't strain your friendship too much! Friends are important.
great lighting and scenery in this video! Also, loved getting to know where you both are coming from a bit more. This was a great video.
would love sth bout you guys always! personal stories are amazing
You are both very forthcoming and non-defensive and this was a delight to watch!
You make my day in Montréal Canada everytime i watch your videos!!! Thanks so much !!! :)
You guys make my day.
I'm a subscriber.
Hoping to get back to Japan and meet you both😊
I think you guys have a good and healthy relationship because I believe you're open about everything. Continue.
Meng is so cute! So is Andrew! So handsome.
Thank you both for being so open with us! Also the insight about Avoidance Attachment style (Did I get that right?) is really insightful and hit a chord in me to chew on. I really appreciate that.
nice QnA vid. I like that you sprinkle in these kinds of vids to your topic-focused vids. It creates a nice balance to the channel
I love your vlogs when pertain to your views and your view of each other. Great insight 👍👏😎😀
"BITCH PLEASE" Sweat-shirt 🤣
From the way you guys act, and the way the videos look... I always assumed Meng edited the vids. And "relationshit" is my new favorite word! 😎
Edmonton! That's Andrew's hometown! Thats so cool. Thank you very much
This is so fun!
Hey from Dallas...enjoy you guys so much! Found your videos just a few weeks ago and have been binge watching. Would love to live in Tokyo!
Thank you! Hope our channel is giving you fun and useful information
Great episode. Love having you guys in my life 🥰
Hi Twin Andrew!
Just did few online tests to check my attachment style and three out of four reveal 'Your Personality Type: Fearful-Avoidant Attachment Style' Haha

Great video! I just want to hug you two! 🥰
Another terrific video! Thank you for creating it!
I love you guys. Best wishes to you both!
Wow, thank you both for being so candid and honest with us. I had assumed when i first joined that you two were in a relationship. You addressed that several times later on without my having to ask. I am glad you addressed these.

This lighting is WORKING for y'all. Meng looks like a handsome prince 💙
great discussion; i would like to see more in this format - but i do love your excursions ~
I love your channel! keep it up. You make my day. Greetings from Colombia
Glad you like them!
LOL I don’t know if u did it on purpose but exactly on the ‘natural juices’ comment an ad came up showing an orange and I laughed so hard 😂
really like this episode,,, the outdoor location is just wonderful
for some weird yet faintly satisfying reason, the word that really got stuck in my mind after watching is ,,,,,juices ( natural of course)
Thanks Jayjay, dont forget to stay hydrated, drink a lot of juice
Hi cuties!
Nice video and fun concept.
I love u guys so much that I subscribed to your channel on my first viewing. Pls continue this channel forever! ❤️
Hope you both find guys that contribute to your life goals and purpose.... Superficial things fade in time.
Guys, I have been watching since your first few vlogs. You are both terrific individuals, we all have to grow, change & adapt throughout our lives, and so too must our relationships (work, friendships, love, sex). Just be YOU! You are sufficient and wonderful as you are. Love n hugs, a Delaware (USA) fan.
💓thank you and we will
yall are fantastic. keep up it hard work
Such an interesting twist! It really provides a unique perspective for reflection. And Andrew, we really do appreciate your editing😊
this video was so refreshing eugh i love your content!!! my faves
It's been really great checking in with you both and seeing you show us the Japan nobody else can. I'm super glad you guys have had such success raising your child.
Omg how are you guys not a couple. Ya'll should give it a chance.
Great episode
It’s been a pleasure watching your posts and I look forward to many more. I like that you are challenging yourselves with things like the Sapporo trip and snowmobiling as Meng mentioned. Keep exploring for yourself as well and inviting us in on your experiences. I would love to meet you guys after I get to Japan to teach English. I guess I might be a Black Papa Smurf uncle type…daddy too 🤣😂
Your honesty and smiles are always refreshing!
I love how open and honest you guys are with your viewers. Thanks for sharing.
Avoidant: I and you are islands, let's meet each other as close islands
Anxious: We are islands, let's become a continent!
Secure: We are a continent, let's have some island mentality
I was avoidant; now primarily secure with sometime anxious attachment style.
I am kuma, enjoy cookies but sometimes need excitement of others, mostly social butterflies or soft usa-/neko-chan's
Refreshingly honest and that can be scary at times. Well done 👍
Awesome vid guys. Thank you for being so open before us.
Another excellent video! And so impressive that you open up about yourselves, foibles and all. Thank you!!
glad you liked our personal conversation, Stephen 😊
We don’t get to hang out and spend time together the same way, we mainly end up talking about our son and our family life, etc. just because it’s day in and day out. So enjoy married life before you have kids people lol
Love you both! Thank you for sharing all this about yourselves. Your channel is amazing and the work you both put into it continues to show.
Meng, Yokohama guy may not be in the cards but I'm certain there are so many other potential boyfriends out there.
Thank you Michael, you are so sweet
Super nice video!! :)
Y'all make well made videos once a week on top of your jobs. Please take breaks if y'all need breaks.
you two are cute, and I really enjoy what you upload in the channel, like your videos, so goodluck :)), and pls get along together xDD
Thank you so much!!
love how you two open about yourself and be honest about it :) everybody is different from experience, education, culture, etc. and it all shape and make "us'' now.
The more I learn about Meng, the more adorable he becomes. I’m happy to be in the 20 percent who subscribe 🥰❤️🙏🏻
Well i am not part of 80% and I appreciate the content hope you have an awesome day today.
Now I've got to go find your "previous video" that you alluded to that UA-cam apparently buried.....
Thank you for thinking so highly of us. We will definitely keep going and produce more fun content ;)
You two are so awesome. 💖💖
When you turn your friendship into a product, it has to change the relationship
sign me up to the fucked up kids club, Andrew 😅. Loved this vid! 💙
Meng is very attractive.
another sweet video from my parents 🫂
😚😚😚
Just did that attachment test and apparently I'm disorganized attachment? Read a blurb about it meant and it really did resonate.
Did you have some new findings about yourself? ❤️
You are both great.
Oh Andrew, you charming prince from Greek tragedies hahahah
Andrew deserves a hug and a love interest (that is on screen) lol
