welcome to the epicness that is dwarven metal. Wind rose took the minecraft diggy diggy hole meme and ran with it all the way to Tolkien's lonely mountain and beyond to Warhammer's old world. They have tons of songs about dwarves, dwarven mythology, drunken dwarves and more. Their live sets are amazing. more blow up pickaxes being shook at the stage than cameraphones. like you said they walk that edge of campiness, taking themselves just seriously enough to create an amazing vibe.
Thank you and yes they are saying “I am a dwarf and I’m digging a hole diggy diggy hole” They are Italian Dwarf Metal / Folk Metal love them saw them twice so far.
I saw them a couple weeks ago at a small club. I went to see their opener , Xandria, and fell in love with Wind Rose..They are so much fun and loved to see cool dude metal fans buying dollar store axes and picks and watching them all have a hoot ..
Doing my part to feed the algorithm. Wind Rose are a super fun band. There's really no other way to describe a band that dresses like dwarves and sings awesome metal music about dwarves. And you're right about "folk" metal being underrepresented in the US, Europe absolutely has that genre as belonging to them.
If you haven't already checked out Gloryhammer's Hootsforce I highly recommend doing so. It's an absolute earworm and epically stupid in all the best ways!
Surprised no one has commented this but the origin of this song is from a Minecraft video by the Yogscast ua-cam.com/video/N-ePNomef68/v-deo.html which then got made into a full song by them in this video ua-cam.com/video/ytWz0qVvBZ0/v-deo.html . This is an awesome cover though.
That opening was clearly "Believer" by Imagine Dragons, even with my limited knowledge and exposure to music, I could catch that. Napalm Records still hasn't let me down.🤘😆🤘 P.S. I couldn't hear any fire engine, so your mic filter must have caught it.
I didn’t know anything about them either but they played the 70,000 Tons of Metal Cruise, and crushed it. They are from Italy and have a song “ The Battle of the Five Armies” which sealed the deal for this LOTR Nerd 🤘🤘

"I am a dwarf and I'm digging a hole...diggy diggy hole". You are indeed hearing it correctly. 😆
Great description ERIC...as always 🤘🤘🤘🤘

🤘🏻🤘🏻 Napalm Records kicks ass , my favorite source for Metal music .. ..
And when it comes to metal nothing feels more metallic than mithril (dwarf metal)
Live, the whole crowd digs a hole with imaginary shovels. It's an awesome sight to see.

Big Hoodoo Never Had. Don't think anyone has reacted to it before. Quite a sad tale of a common inner city story. Not mainstream by any means
🤘🎸🤘🎸🤘. Always fun listening to your analysis of and appreciation for European Folk Metal bands.
Thank you Eric 🤘
👍👍👍👍
Hahaha. This is a parody. A cover of some meme song from Tik-tok.
My youngest son filled me in with the details!
Cheers,
Eric
