Those doubledecker IC-trains are originally made for regional traffic, hence the small legroom. The ICE-T originates from Wiesbaden Hbf Flughafen Frankfurt Bebra Gerstungen Erfurt then Leipzig Hbf. Last stops before Dresden Hbf are Riesa and Dresden Neustadt on the ICE-T. Bench seating on the ends of the upper floor is unavoidable because the door is right below and its drive needs some space that would prevent putting regular window seats there. Nowadays (from November 20) instead of Schoenefeld (now named Terminal5 of BER) the train stops and turns at BER Terminal 1&2. It enters the airport tunnel from the west and starts in the same direction again (Reference e.g: ua-cam.com/video/pB1tTO8u2WE/v-deo.html)So most probalby it did it on your trip in October in Schoenefeld. The IC/s should be speedy trains. So my question is, how long did it take to change from the top of the train to the end, to change the direction, so relatively short before the stops downtown in Berlin (SouthCross and Main station...). The impact on the continuation to Rostock(Warnemuende) might be less important... Thanks!
What really strikes me as odd is that German intercity trains always also stop at the weirdest small stations. Surely some stations are explainable, there might be an airport nearby, a big event or a city that just doesn't connect to the line but often this doesn't seem the case. Do local governments lobby to have these intercity connections?

There was a survey that showed 80% of Germans only use credit cards foronline shopping, and barely take them outside, and for the normal Debit cards, they are just used if there isn‘t enough cash in your wallet, or if you want to get cash form the ATM.

Sure, I'll try and release it soon for you. :)
@@SuperalbsTravels That would be great, thanks!
Do they have a conductor in this train?
the Cafe looks nice...i wish it had a hot soup vending shop
Hey, where did you put your luggage?
I always travel light, so it went down by my feet. :)
@@SuperalbsTravels Thanks! What if have a 20kg+ luggage? where should we put it?
What's the highest speed of this train?
Top speed is 200km/h (125mph).
@@SuperalbsTravels Nice man.
@@SuperalbsTravels I'm a german boy. You don't need to wrote the speed in mph. But you can't know it before
why they use a traxx instead of the engine car in the ic2?¿
What do you mean?
my favourite Rail network Britain where I am from could take lessons on how to run a system for the public and not one for shareholders
10:00 "[Only accepting cash] seems very strange for a train introduced in 2020" Well, it's a _German_ train in 2020, so.....
Awesome video !
Superalbs Travels
Thanks!
That's convenient. This trip was in July, so not long after these were introduced.
Good it's being sped up now. 👍
What really strikes me as odd is that German intercity trains always also stop at the weirdest small stations. Surely some stations are explainable, there might be an airport nearby, a big event or a city that just doesn't connect to the line but often this doesn't seem the case. Do local governments lobby to have these intercity connections?
I guess it is because the true fastest trains are the ICE, so these can pick up at some less major (but still moderately significant) stations?
Very nice train. I don't like leather seats though, I find they make me sweat
Fair enough! Especially on a sunny day...
I hope Caltrain has stadler kiss trainsets
This is a modern train and it is very fast.
Quite fast!
Klasse sehr schön Gruß Micha und Abo hast Du
Danke schön. 😌
Still no answers about the loud intermittent bang, in the comments
but look the vending machine sells beer!
hard seats? A Stadler standard, apparently. Pity.
ICE Ts are capable of 230 km/h...
Sorry my bad, almost had it! 😬
NO BOARD BISTRO !!!
I saw one of these units working a train at about 1900 from Wien Hbf to Warnemunde. I could not this of a more horrible journey to use such a train for most / all of the journey and the train left Wien Hbf with quite a few people standing!! Ewwwww…
Yeah, they run overnight to reach the depot. It's not really for passengers primarily, but they still run it as a service. Not my idea of fun!
@@SuperalbsTravels from the number of folks waiting at Wien Hbf to board it looked like the train would be full. Just horrible as I don’t think folks were going short distances
i got this recommended wtf
Good you should, it's a lovely video! 😃
Cash only is normal in Germany
Tell me about it! 😅
@@SuperalbsTravels Well, in Germany You say „Nur bares ist wahres“ which means „Only cash is the real deal“ I think that summarizes it pretty well. People want to keep track of their purchases, and that is best done if you give away something. You will spend more money if you just have a plastic card that you swipe, or put in a snack machine and pull back out, you just don’t feel like you are loosing, or giving away something. There was a survey that showed 80% of Germans only use credit cards foronline shopping, and barely take them outside, and for the normal Debit cards, they are just used if there isn‘t enough cash in your wallet, or if you want to get cash form the ATM.
This is only accepting cash?
Welcome in Germany. (This Train was brought and modified before Corona)
You’ll find many places which accept your cash, only!
Haha, sounds right. :)
I don't like the trains, in Summer the Leather is not very comfortable
Ah, do they get too hot? :/
bruh
Do that
Hello, what would you like me to do?
always carry cash....just saying lol even in 2020
Lesson learned... ;)
We should stop using Stadler trains because they behave very inappropriately. First FLIRT then KISS.😑😑🙄🙄
It's a pity that they didn't name the EC250 Giruno "SEX" :D (could have been an acronym of "Super Express"). Instead, they named it SMILE.
Next thing you know, we'll be riding BANG units.
@@markoobid2005 That's even weird😫First FLIRT, then KISS, then SMILE. The combination in the same order is weird. Good thing they didn't name it SEX, otherwise...😨
I do wonder what's next for the Stadler product line! 🤭
@@rrajdippawskar9853 what exactly is wrong with it? It's funny actually.
