22 November 2024 - One hour in and I’m really enjoying this, listening with my morning coffee. Had our first snow yesterday but it didn’t stick around. Thank the gods for the real human voice. Find the American accent and syntax of the biker chick writer hilariously delightful. 😂 From Central Kentucky, Horse Country, USA.
"Thank you so much! We’re thrilled you enjoyed Tim Curry’s incredible narration and the fantastic story. We're passionate about bringing these captivating tales and characters to life for our listeners. Stay tuned for more!"
I thought I'd give it a listen because of the great comments but all in all I found that to had too many characters in it to follow, and found it not an easy listen. Well narrated.
Keighley mentioned at 8:0ish is pronounced Keithly. 😂 We English seem to delight in pronouncing place names in a way no outsider would guess. My favoyrite is Happisburgh in Norfolk.
@@shaelynp7630 Interesting - The audio said Tim Curry. Now I'm listening to a Wexford mystery evidently by Martha Grimes. I wonder if it has anything to do with "permissions".
@@janelaroque that could be.. I think you're idea is the best explanation for this 'mix up' - it's funny, the only reason I was 100% sure about the narration is I bought this same exact audiobook from audible and was listening to it on that app 2 days ago.

Yeah, I hear you, but wait until you hear outsiders pronounce Pacific NW names (peoples, rivers, places, tribes, plants). Just ask a native of the area.

Wonderful channel! So glad to have found this ❤❤❤
I love Martha Grimes and Richard Jury...dozens if great stories.
I have had a HUGE old lady crush on Melrose Plant for years!!!!😂😂😂😂
I think I have all of her Richard Jury books. It's one of the best series out there.
I also have the complete series
I hope to find more of the Martha Grimes jury series
I believe this is the first book by Martha Grimes. It is the first one I ever read for certain! Well done bringing it back as an audiobook! ❤
Not the first.
I Am The Only Running Footman is the first Jury mystery. Or The Old Fox Deceived.
The Running Footman.
One of my top five favorite mystery series! Thanks! I hope more to come?

It's a great series of books.
I never heard of this Author nor her main character but reading the comments giving it a go.
You will get addicted to
Richard
Jury. Enjoy!
A brilliant reading of a brilliant book! Tim Curry is so talented; he brings the characters to life.
Narration is Steve West. He has narrated all of martha grimes stories. .
Thank you, it was lovely
My favorite author
Wow, I'm just finding out about her from this video! I'm really enjoying her writing so I can see why! Good choice!
Dear Audiobook, more Martha Grimes, please, with R.Jury.
Awesome, loved it!
Wonderful narration by Tim Curry. Great characters, great story. Enjoy

@@AudiobookStories-q1i It's NOT Tim Curry, but Steve West. You should be informing the poster, not agreeing with them!🤦
Not Tim Curry but Steve West.
Why did he pronounce Keighley as Keeley?
It's Keithley.
Is this an AI voice?
@@jerribee1 Why don't you try reading all the replies before posting??🤦🤡
Brilliant narration!❤ I can't find part 2 though?
Thank you..subscribed
I thought I'd give it a listen because of the great comments but all in all I found that to had too many characters in it to follow, and found it not an easy listen. Well narrated.
You need to start with the first book. Do as to meet each character. Worth it and all of the people are important for the fun of the book. Try again!
Thank you Cheers
An excellent descriptive story really well read.
I give up. I could not follow this. Why hasn't anyone made films of the Richard Jury mysteries?
Enough personages to populate a Russian novel. Brilliant in a special sort of way.
Omg…I get to have Tim Curry read me a story ♥️♥️♥️!!
Brilliant then and brilliant now.
😅fabulous story, narrator and writer!
Why part 1 and no part 2 available?😮
This is Part 1 Is this book complete? A fav character a fav author Or is this a partial book only? Please let's have the whole book! Thank you
Only a very abridged version!
Thank you
Keighley mentioned at 8:0ish is pronounced Keithly. 😂

Helena, I'm American, and my favorite British name is 'Cholmondeley' pronounced 'Chumley'. I get such a kick out of it.
I wonder who the narrator is. It sounds like Tim Curry or Steve West or Ben Cumberbatch (sherlock holmes actor)
The original audiobook is 15 hours long. This is very abridged.
If only AI was this good
❤❤

It’s pronounced “Keithley no Kei Lee
Keighley is pronounced Keethly

Lost interest
Not the same as the real book ...the dull voice, without expression. I am a speed reader....would have covered a chapter by now.
Well, Speed Reader, best stay off the UA-cam, where only we mere mortals hang. 😃
Good on you

Yuck. I couldn’t listen. Poor writing and did not enjoy the narration.
Not for me.
Wensday
2 minutes in and fussy deodorant ads! Bye!!!

Good book but the reader (AI)? Should know that “Keighley” is pronounced “KEETHLY”
Voices are too varied to be AI
Read the description, this is not AI

Definitely not AI!!!!
I hope to find more of the Martha Grimes jury series
