Now that I have owned this for 6 months, I can safely say it is a brilliant machine, BUY ONE!!! They are the greatest thing since sliced bread, battery lasts a long time and very practical. I will do a long term review at some point.
You are definitely not the only one to have the trigger issue just no one else has written stihl about it. the 36v makita doesnt have that stalling issue and I think is variable throttle. main problem with them is that they use two batteries at a time.
I have got used to the throttle trigger now. In fact after using it for a while, I absolutely love this chainsaw, it is fantastic in almost every way. I bought an MSA 140 and it is even better, slightly more powerful but same weight.
