One of world's gentleman, a Great singer and songwriter, will be sadly missed by all fans and friends and family, RIP Mr Ed Bruce, the Cowboy got to Heaven.a True Legend
Not sure if anyone gives a shit but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can stream all of the new series on InstaFlixxer. I've been streaming with my brother for the last few weeks =)
Why are these fans calling this New Hill Billy. These songs by Jones, Haggard,Jennings, called New Billy. These are our old country music and should never go away. No matter what you call them, we were there when they started out.
Another great Country Star has finished his race in this old world. Thanks be to our Lord for the gifted men, women, & children you have shared with us over the years. Please bless his family & friends in their loss. Amen
Ed was better than all them, his voice just stopped me from breathing, 😂 😂 why can't everymen sounds like him....Boy! I wished that I had met him....Peace!
I am heartbroken but he will be living in our hearts and minds. RIP ED, You are and will always be a part of the greatest country singers of all time. Family my condolences to you and all his friends am praying for you in your sadness! My friend my favorite of all time is THIS IS THE LAST COWBOY SONG!
Candy Two Deer I echo your sentiments. Ed Bruce is a legend. He was definitely so gifted as a singer/Songwriter and had such class. Even more importantly he was a devout Christian and is probably leading the choir in heaven now!
Ed Bruce was one of my favorite singers. I went to see him one time in Raleigh NC. He was great then. Didn't get a chance to watch the movie he was in. May the Lord Bless and Keep Him singing with the rest of the fellows up in heaven. I will always remember him.
Oh, my goodness?? Another of my favorites has passed away!! Several of his songs I really like!! I also like the show MAVERICK ON TV!! I AM GONNA MISS HIM !! BUT I DO HAVE UA-cam TO LISTEN TO ALL OF THE GREATS!!
I always loved you Ed. You had such a smooth and gentle, calming voice. I remember so many of your songs that I loved. Such talent! I played “You’re the best break this old heart ever had “ just recently , thinking of you. Rest in peace sweet man. Sing now with the angels . 🙏💕
I grew up in the 60s and 70s listening mostly to rock. I listened to some country but not much. I'm now seeing more than ever why people liked old country. Ed Bruce was great. He sang more songs than I thought and they're all very good.
If we ever meet in Heaven, I'd like to hear him sing "Love's Found you and Me," using the WHN call letters. I really liked the "personalized" versions of that song, where some stations inserted their call letters in the 1st verse.
Grew up listening to this man, and he is what a country singer should be....These so called "artist"today, need to take notes, and realize that there is a big difference in being born to this, and just looking pretty...If I could say anything to this Gentleman it would be thank you for the music, the voice, and the memories.
I just discovered his incredible voice in December. How did I go 60 years and not get to enjoy those pipes!! Johnny got an awful lot of corporate media support and it's very clear too me that he simply couldn't hold a candle to Bruce. I'm looking forward to many years of enjoying that lovely voice.
A hell of a writer and a darned good singer. I remember when he released "Mamas Don't Let You Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys, Bill Port and I were the house band at the Eldorado in Florence, SC. A beautiful young lady named Jeannie Turner had just picked up the new releases at Ray's Record Shop on S. Irby St., and when we heard that one I thought, what a song, Waylon would kill that one. Any Country Music fan knows the rest.
Nicki Cribb, "... I thought, what a song, Waylon would kill that one. ..." You sure called that one. Especially Waylon with Willie. (Missing Waylon, too.)
RIP Mr. Ed. I have always enjoyed listening and playing you music. You are a truly Country Gentleman and I will always be grateful to you for you dedication to Country Music.
Say goodbye billy say goodbye.and dark an it is time to go and shall we fly he said no.when he walked out the door the facet time was trilogies and pact hate.we knew we knew.
Amo su voz,y su mirada tan bella ,no puedo evitar suspirar cada vez que lo escucho a travéz de sus melodías sigue viviendo en nuestros corazones seguramente el se encuentra en una hermosa estrella.
Just heard of Ed's death. I love his songs "Texas When I Die (Tanya Tucker)" and "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys (Waylon and Willie)" Rest easy, Ed.

Amazing talent now in Heaven. Condolences to all who love him during this painful time.
If we ever meet in Heaven, I'd like to hear him sing "Love's Found you and Me," using the WHN call letters. I really liked the "personalized" versions of that song, where some stations inserted their call letters in the 1st verse.
Maybe we could do some duets, too. Especially "Love's Found you and Me" and "Evil Angel."

My favorite on this clip is "Evil Angel" at 19:22.
Actually, at 23:21, it's the "Maverick" theme.
Not bad
This is one brute diamond! R.I.P. Ed
Like 21:36 to 21:55, too!
The first time I heard this man was when he did a tour of New Zeland
0:19 Painted Women and Wine
3:00 She Even Woke Me Up To Say Goodbye
6:35 Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys
This was great , but you didn't play "(When You Fall in Love) Everything's A Waltz " and featured "Theme From Brett Maverick " instead.
Now excuse me miss this a cowboy bar and isn't a place for little kids.
At 16:13, who was the Merle he was referring to?
When did he pass. ?
