      Hi Ronald, they are featured at 13 minute 15 seconds into the video :)

      Sorry, I don't know how I missed. I guess I'm watching lots of videos and they're becoming a blur. Thanks. This has been very very helpful. Very helpful. Starting in couple of weeks. Most afraid of cold and rain in October

    • @NickLivingLife
      @NickLivingLife  Рік тому

      Unless there is freak weather, it doesn’t get too cold in October but rain is likely especially towards the end in Galicia (the end just feels a lot like England to me).
      Many pilgrims choose a poncho, but I prefer a jacket as it’s something I can also wear in an evening if I am exploring the town, eating and I want an extra layer of warmth.
      This year I used a rain kilt rather than waterproof pants and preferred it. There is another video with this year’s pack on my channel, along with videos with a LOT of rain on Camino del Norte.
      The last few weeks before you go are the time where you will get nervous and be tempted to start packing extra things “just in case”. Try to avoid that temptation and keep your overall pack weight down…that’s the most important thing.
      I wish you a beautiful Buen Camino 😊😊

      @@NickLivingLife trying to chill. Trying to remember if I need something I can get it there. Right now in process of removing items. Lol. Thanks for your reply. Oh, and I guess the weather is going to what it's gonna be.

      thanks a lot for good info,, im starting my firt camino trip in 3 week in april,,any advice?

    • @NickLivingLife
      @NickLivingLife  Рік тому

      The main thing is walk some before you go, go easy for the first few days when you get there, take your shoes off whenever you stop for a coffee to let your feet cool, pack as light as you can as you need less “just in case” items than you think, take ear plugs, wish everyone you pass a Buen Camino and have yourself a Buen Camino. 😊

    Great video and do helpful. Thank you. Would you suggest the del Norte in April/May be approx same?

    • @NickLivingLife
      @NickLivingLife  Рік тому

      Hi Tracey. If I was doing the Norte again I would go a little bit later (May/June) so that more places are open for coffee / breakfast etc. it’s still lovely in April/May but it’s a bit before the season starts properly. 😊

    would you mind to share the brand and model of your merino wool and silk Tshirt? thank you! great videos!

    • @NickLivingLife
      @NickLivingLife  Рік тому

      Happy to. It was from a
      Swedish company called Klattermussen. I’m not sure if they still make them.
      I’m currently using a cheaper merino / polyester blend from Decathlon which is surprisingly good for the cost (about €40). 😊

    small tip: buy a packliner for €3, they weigh around 27grams and keep everything nice and dry
    (Waymark has a very durable one)

    • @NickLivingLife
      @NickLivingLife  2 роки тому

      Thanks Dominic. I have Nylofume liners for shorter trips, but I find I’m too clumsy to not damage them for something longer like a Camino. I used to use rubble sacks too but thought since I get a pack down to about 4kg now I can manage a couple of little luxuries. I’ll look into the Waymark one though. Thanks very much. 😊

    The silk and merino wool is a fantastic combo, but I do have a better choice. Northern Playground Hoodie, same materials, not cheaper, but lifetime guarantee on repair, and its a sun hoodie.

    • @NickLivingLife
      @NickLivingLife  Рік тому +1

      That sounds like a winner. Can’t argue with a lifetime guarantee. Thanks 😊

    Great video - it has made me rethink my already packed backpack. Can you give me the merino silk T-shirt brand name again please

    • @NickLivingLife
      @NickLivingLife  2 роки тому +2

      It’s called klattermussen. Merino/nylon and merino/polyester are also great. They would need washing every few days instead of every week but will dry slightly faster. I like the mix to be about 70% merino approximately

    Really interesting when people evaluate during their trip!
    PS no need for background music, just makes it "noisier"
