Overall, its a filler patch BUT it looks like Genshin is starting to listen!! That new banner is actually REALLY COOL!! Overall though, looks like a fun filler patch and hopefully we get Dain in the next one! Also here are the codes :) DAKTDBWTZTYR - AT3BDSWTYBKD - 5TKAUAWAGBJR
I get they did one good thing but this is seriously their most driest filler patch I have ever witnessed
Gotta save up the hype for the next patch.. in my opinion this chill update is good but it's pretty underwhelming. It could've been better to add more and better QOL update. So people can still get hook up because of the changes.

My only major surprise about this live stream is the new banner system, It seems that they're finally giving us a chance on giving out certain characters that we want from there, though I have might have misheard on what it's designed, but I really like it, It leaves off certain characters from Mondstadt and finally never having to be giving out reruns anymore.

@ArchonKujo from the genshin twitter post, they said that the characters on that banner will change from time to time meaning they are only there for a limited time, so its like an extension for reruns right? correct me if im wrong
@@cryogray4857 So does that mean that it's not entirely exclusive to Monstadt characters? Imagine certain characters from Liyue, Inazuma or Sumeru. Fontaine is too new so I doubt it'll be part of it.

In my opinion, it all comes down to the currency that the banner will be using and the pace at which it's updated. If they use Intertwined fates....I personally can't see that being good. Honestly just replacing the standard banner with this new banner would be far better
Well it's intertwined fate & there are limited characters so they can't use standard fate
To be fair, those whales will grill them alive if they let people pull limited characters with standard wishes. There is really no winning.
@@ScarletX4those whales should just mind their own business, since 99% F2P players already used their standard wishes. It would be impossible for them to gather enough to guarantee a character in that banner. It would take nearly a year to do so due to battlepasses.
(I know the regional "trees" in Inazuma, Sumeru, and Fontaine give standard fates, but still.)
Genshin only gives a bunch of standard fates when your account is newer. Once you're around AR 50. You basically have to rely on Battlepasses to get them.

I have noticed that they have focused more on combat with some of the more recent updates. They gave us a slight update with equipping artifacts, a better recommendation system for artifacts, the training guide, and a banner with characters that have been missing for a while. If they continue doing things like this, it might finally bring the second form of endgame lol. All jokes aside, it is cool that we got something changed that isn't just exploration. They also sent out some emails for feedback, so something might finally be changing
that training guide is really good. First we got artefacts, and now the weapons !! very nice as i never know wich weapon's better. But i wish they'd have done this way before bcuz it's less useful when you're end game or AR55+

as a new genshin impact player whose main is tighnari im so happy with that wish chronicle
Its just interesting. I am interested in the new banner , the Story Quest/hangout and the Cat event. It also a positive since I can make some final preparations before I relocate for a new employment opportunity
Despite being a filler patch, I think it’s good. People can somewhat relax and catch up with missions and such or explore the areas they haven’t done to time, or event take a break. Rumor is that 4.6 is a huge patch with a whole new area and new lore
Snowbreak has a 5 star (orange in the game) weapon banner in where you can choose the one you want, you have a 50/50 the first time and then guaranteed as in Genshin...BUT max pulls are 60 and you always get the weapon in between 45/55 pulls or less. And it also has a 5 star (again orange) character banner in where you can do exactly the same (choose the one you want). Max pulls in the character banner is 80.
Yet in Snowbreak you have 4 different types of "Primogems" for each banner (Main Character banner, Weapon banner for said character, Standard character Banner and Standard Weapon banner), one for each type of banner. Yet you can get those in different events and some you can get with in game materials or current event currency, and at the same time you have a lot of weekly and daily rewards.
All I can say is that I got all characters in the game already without almost putting money to get a character...I did it once tho (for Katya). I just get the monthly BP as in Genshin and daily log in reward bonus in that game and is enough to get almost everything. You have to play daily as in any other gatcha game but it has more, let's say, little things to do each day so you can do at least 1 to 2 pulls or more (for each banner). But as I said, you can buy those different types of "primos" with different materials or currency given in the game by just playing and doing events. (something that Genshin needs to do more often)
More banners are not bad if you have a way to get the specific type of "primos" in different ways like in this game that I put as an example.
Let's see what Hoyoverse does with this banner, if we have to use the regular primogems it won't be bad for people like me that has every single character in the game, yet once pulling for a new character I'll ignore it completely if there is no specific "primogem" for it and have to "share" the primos between banners. That could be a problem, unless they give us more primos per day (which is not going to happen).
My husband and I got so dang excited... he's a Eula main and I'm a Diluc main, and neither of us have their signature weapons. Plus we want to get some cons for them too...
I have a feeling all of our entertainment budget (and more) is gonna go into this banner 😂
That training guide is gonna help me too and I have played Ganshin for +3 years XD
Sound good, I think everyone shoots thru the content really fast each update. The extra banner and weapon pull when make players have to work more to get the resources they need for each new section.
You get a free glider for completing one of the Monstadt archon quests (I forget which one) so you don't need to pay to get Chiori's speed buff

well, after seeing how the last 2 patches went and along with this patch, let’s say 4.6 should have smth epic coming. If you dont like chiori, its your chance to save primos to pull upcoming (hopefully) arleccino, clorinde, and sigewinne
i’ve been saving for arlecchino clorinde and sigewinne for weeks but being able to guarantee myself a diluc is probably gonna ruin my savings 😅

I really have hope the new banner uses the standard banner fates and not the main banner ones.
Good sir Doro, I think the new banner is like the banners from Wuthering Waves if I understood correctly in the sense that you will only get characters if pulling for a character or weapons if pulling for a weapon. It will be a permanant banner with character that didn't get a rerun in a while. The characters may change but the banner in itself will always be here. That third banner was a nice surprise, i can't wait!!
The new banner probably permanent like standard banner but the characters or weapons will be changed from time to time.
heres teh banners trade off. you have a chance to get limited characters you are intreseted in but dont want to pull for (10% each), but your guarenteed character doesnt carry over.
so basically this banner is op if you know you need to get one of the characters and have enough to guarantee them. otherwise its not a banner to build pity on.

The pity carries over just not the fate point so if fail your 50/50 and let's say you pulled 60 summons more and failed to get the selected character. You'll still have 60 pity for your next 50/50. This is according to genshin wiki on the new banner. Which isn't too bad but ye better than it resetting I guess.

I would give this patch 7/10 consider the made the banner system great because I love what they did with the banner, I love to try the chori story Quest. The cat event was great too

As a lot of people said, it depends on the currency. If it uses intertwined fates, its a bad idea since non spenders will be at a huge disadvantage. And the guaranteed doesnt carry over.
It would have been much better had they introduced three concurrent limited banners instead of a new system altogether.
As someone who is just getting into building characters, the new menu will help alot!!!

For anyone wondering Chiori's Movement Speed boost is similar to the existing "Day/Night Speed Boost" Talents on characters such as Rosaria or GaMing.
10% increase, doesn't stack with other Speed increasing Talents, and has no effect in Domains/Trounce/Abyss.
In other words, it's one of those passives that literally doesnt matter lol
@@starmoral5456 not entirely, it appears to stack with the Anemo Element Duo bonus to Movement Speed. Which leads to faster exploration and less Stamina use per distance, this also should affect Xianyun's insane movement with her being one of the two Anemo needed for that team movement boost. Less time wasted running to unexplored areas, I'd say matters quite a lot.

What i love from the little guide, is that most of the building guides and teams guides out there are only for endgame players, but for starters and mid game players there's nothing to help with what to do and what not.
My first game account i rushed through the AR levels, until the enemies become to strong, tho the point that a single hit would take half my characters hp, so started a new game after that...
This guide really is a huge boom for returning players and for new players, so a big W to Hoyoverse for that.
My friend had the same problem rushed ar like crazy and ended up with ar 55 BUT level 50 chars 😅 bad artifakts and unleveled weapons

the way the banner work as far as i know. it's following a region. that's why Eula, Albedo and Klee is there. the char is not permanent ofc or else it's just a standard banner that u can choose.
it'll just last the whole patch then next patch new one. i highly doubt the point system is actually rig this time because u only need 1 and if u're guaranteed then yeah like always, lose then win or just win if guaranteed
last time I played was around the time Chiori was in that film maker event. She is a character I feel would MAYBE make me play more, but it's really hard when I feel like Star Rail is where all the interesting things are happening.
But my situation may actually be that if I don't get Chiori, I may stop playing for a lot longer.
Trying not to be a hater, the game just needs to put something out that can grab my attention

You're not missing out on anything. Come back in August for 5.0 when Natlan arrives.
I wouldn't come back for a character that you know will get a rerun. Just play star rail and come back when a patch truly peaks your interests.
If none of the characters interests you, just wait for Natlan to come out.
Genshins writing seems to be getting better! Sumeru was the best at the time, and Fontaines story was even better!
Lots of expectations for Natlan's Archon quests. I hope they fulfill and at least have the same level of quality as Sumeru/Fontaine
Dude no, Chiori is an extremely boring character. She's just a quick swap sub-dps that's restricted to monogeo. What you need is a main dps it seems. You can look out for the main DPS reruns (neuvilette the strongest DPS in the game is rerunning in 4.5) or keep an eye out for the next patch, it'll be a big one and there's a new dps coming out that might interest you :)
From what we can assume, each patch will have a "location" 4.5 is Mondstat. 6 characters and assorted weapons from that region will be on the new banner. Guarenteed within 1 fate point pretty much removes any need to pull on the weapon banner, as the amount needed is only 180 wishes and not 270

The filler patch is good for people to catch up on their Dottie’s and farming. I’d love to get my hands on a Gravestone . Chiori is good but I’ll have to see how well I can play her on mobiles but that weapon banner will go hard with all the crit damage
Oh my God, they listened the chronicles wish banner is cool. With that I can finally get Eula, Mona or Dehya eventually in the case of the latter or the wolf greatsword.
Dehya isn't on it. But they might rotate the characters.
The selection of available characters on the chronicles banner seems to be related to a specific region (only characters from Mondstadt are on the 4.5 chronicles banner). For Dehya, you would have to wait for a chronicles banner related to Sumeru. Plus Dehya (as well as Tighnari) only had one Event banner run before moving to the standard banner.
However, those two characters might be excluded from the "at least three characters event wishes" - rule, so that might not be a problem.
Who's asking for another scam? This is definitely not what players are asking for, Genshin is the last game to actually hear from it's player base and they are so out of touch,
First of all the banner uses intertwined fates, That means you need to save more because now you have more characters to pull for and someone of them which you want could be on the same patch and that brings to the point that the amount of primos/pulls you are getting each patch has not increased, It has decreased a lot this patch and If you lose 50/50 and the banner changes, that resets the fate point and you have to win 50/50 again.

If I am not wrong Ig arlecchino is in 4.6 and Clorinde in 4.7 then one new perfume lady will be in 4.8
Summer patch in 4.8, so Dainsleif will be around somewhere before that.
I'm thinking arlechino is 4.6. Maybe new story quest will be 4.6 plus new boss. 4.7 maybe Dain? But I was thinking, it would be cool if they switched things up a bit. What if we were introduced to a new weekly boss during a Dain quest? Idk it seems like they're doing things slightly different this region.

I'm not so excited about the chronicled banner. Having to decide whether to use your intertwined fates on the event banner vs the chronicled banner will be a pain as an f2p player or even for a low spender. It would've been alright if they share pity but they don't. Plus I could be wrong, but if you lose 50/50 at the chronicled banner, your guaranteed pull won't cary over to the next one. Still it's nice that exists as an option and I still might pull on it if I don't like the event banner that's live. Also it's a good alternative for those who wants to save their guaranteed pull on the event banner but still wants to keep wishing.
Yeah, i don't understand the hype at all. Because literally you will need to skips 2 patches banners more or less as f2p for... Old character... And even longer if you want their weapon to.

Pity on the new banner thingy dont carry over so if you guys pull for a specific character/weapon make sure you have enough intertwined fates for the guarantee.

The Chronicled Wish looks like an amazing addition, and I believe it'll be permanent considering the rules they laid out! It'll be good for getting certain standard characters/weapons or limited ones that haven't had a rerun in a while. Plus, they can start putting characters on that banner rather than using a limited slot for their 34th rerun or what have you. As for the rest of the livestream, it was pretty underwhelming. Although, the cat cafe event looks cute, and I'm actually looking forward to getting some constellations for my boy Itto.

I CAN FINALLY GET KAZUHA!!! I started playing during Alhaitham's first banner and fell in love with his playstyle but lost the 50/50, I then spent a long time saving, and tried to get him on his 2nd, during that time, I fell in love with Kazuha's too, so I farmed everything to triple crown both, but unfortunately lost the 50/50 on Alhaitham, went hard pity again got him and didnt end up getting Kazuha before the banner left, but I will whale this time if I need to
i think she is one of the best designed character; the condescending look, the hair, and outfit. i'm pulling for her on looks alone

so from what i understand about the new banner is you still have to win the 50/50 on a charachter but you wont lose to a weapon like the stabdard banner. its like choosing your own banner. seems interesting. will it use standard wishes or intertwined fate wishes?
Intertwined fates, per hoyo official. The number of pulls carry over, but not the fate point (aka no guarantee next chronicle banner, it's only a guarantee for the current banner)

This is certainly one the most patches of all time. With the exception of kitties. And also Tihgnari's sognature weapon
If anything I am really excited that Neuvillette will get his rerun. I started playing again shortly after his release and missed him. So now he will come home, I have been saving. I also want his weapon and the silver lining is, I already have Kazuha, so even losing the 50/50's to his weapon ... I can't be mad about it. For me already this patch is worth it just because of this 😄

I'm happy to finally be able to get the weapons I missed! But after getting more informations about this banner... not too hyped about it anymore. 50/50 tat reset with the next banner? Meh :/
But at least I finally have a chance to get Itto! After he refused to come home on all of his last banners.
The duality of mint
The only problem with the chronicle wish banner is that it uses intertwined fates instead of acquainted fates. It's basically just the standard banner with new standard characters using intertwined fates. What I would wish is that they would add more event weapons later on and that the characters would change soon. Another con is that like the weapons banner fate points won't transfer over, but that's assuming that the characters and weapons change each patch. It just seems like a half thought out solution to the much bigger problem with their gacha system. It just seems like a lot of the stuff they are adding to this update are solutions to non-existent problems instead of dealing with the actual problems within the game.
Btw, what happened to the 3 wishes-debate on Lantern Rite? We just got the wishes, but no other reward? I wonder if they are just sweeping the incident under the carpet and hoping for people to forget. It seems odd.

Not saying the new event banner is bad but surely it would be better if it used standard currency instead of event currency right ?
Since I think of it like this: Spend your event currency on getting the new 4* and 5* character OR you spend it on trying to get any of these characters that have been run more three times each.
Man they really made PVP if you choose the same character you can battle it out to see who wins with that Fatomater that's crazy 😂
I might try to get Neuvi c3 since I have him at c2 already... or aimight get Chiori's weapon, although I prefer Alhaitham to have his.
About the new banner, it seems interesting. I could finally get Aquila Favonia 😢
the chronicled wish banner is to be expected to have at least 3 limited characters and 3 standard characters. The banner is going to be for the entire patch (both phases) but will be *reset when a new version starts. So in 4.6, this banner will change and based off the characters in 4.5 being from mondstadt, we can speculate that it'll be Liyue characters next. since qiqi and keqing are the only liyue standard, they might either make a new standard chara to fill the 3 slot, or include another limited. *by what i mean by reset, pity and fate points are going to be removed, meaning if you lose on this banner and a new version starts, the progress is lost, im not entirely sure how they'll go about this, but as f2p this makes the wishing much harder, since if we want a character from that chronicled wish we need 180 pulls to get that character/weapon
pity will stay but the fate point will reset when there’s a new chronicled banner out :)
