Nice series of videos, thanks for posting! I haven't played this yet but I'm curious how it compares to Balkoski's Light Division which I have played many times. If you haven't played it, that game postulates a significant commitment from the the Soviet's (ground and air forces) in support of the Iranians much greater than in NWI; of course no PRC. May be a tough comparison given LD takes place during the Bush administration but still a hypothetical game in '89. I really like LD (despite the awful artwork).
Well its night and day. I have played LD twice. It was ok for the time, but had a bunch of system flaws. WE identified a handful of them, and decided to abandon play after tweaks still didnt fix 'er up. Id almost say its broken, but YMMV. This is a modern future look at multi domain combat. in DETAIL. Plus RU or PRC forces are not primary combatants. they are a supporting role.
in this you have to assume we are talking combat in effective. I did not do a tally, but loss ratio would have been ten or 15:1 or more for ground forces and 10:1 for air. SOF - 1:1

4:23 just a reminder for everyone watching - that "10" is a zero
