Love the ESV or not, I have to admit Crossway puts out a huge variety of good editions of the ESV for everyone, from affordable but still good value editions (like the TruTone leather editions of the Heritage and the Legacy) to premium editions (like the genuine leather editions of the Heirloom Heritage and Legacy and more). I think the fact thst Crossway has such variety of editions for the ESV, from affordable to premium options, is one big factor in its success.
I would be all over the VBV preaching bible if the verse numbers weren’t indented. The Steadfast VBV NASB95 is a favorite layout. Thanks for this comparison!
I would like an ESV verse by verse wide margin reference Bible with a 10pt font. Would like to see Crossway put an edition like this out that is wide as a Cambridge.
I love all the Crossway ESV premium Bibles. I wish I could get the Bible in 36 gsm paper. However, speaking just for myself and not at all judging others: Some.of my family members are from Hong Kong and as such I have a very hard time supporting products made in or by China. (I also work hard not to buy any other products in or from China unless there's absolutely no other choice or no alternative.) So personally speaking I prefer the Crossway ESV Bibles from Royal Jongbloed in the Netherlands. Again, I'm not judging anyone else, this is just my situation.
Absolutely love your videos! Was hooing you had the thinline, deciding if im going with the thinline or the alpha, do you know which one you would prefer?
That ESV Alpha looks absolutely perfect for me. Wish they weren't so expensive, I'm kinda saving for one but I'm afraid something will change (in a similar vein the changes from the Chinese Heirlooms) before I can buy one
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews I've looked into that edition and it looks lovely, but unfortunately red letters don't agree with my eyes and it doesn't seem to come in black letter
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews Thanks. That's what I was thinking too. I'm considering getting one and wasn't sure which one. Crossway makes so many great bibles, it can be hard to choose.
The only reason I've dismissed Crossway bibles is because the majority of them are printed in China, so that's why I've bought 3 bibles and prayer books from Oxford and Cambridge University Press. I hope someday Crossway changes printers and have theirs printed either in the United States or Europe.

I get it.

I reviewed the thinline in Horween a while back, but I’ve never had the goatskin. Hoping to get that one in January.

I’m pretty sure the large print compact is close to the same and it’s affordable.

Which is the one you said is your favorite compact?
ESV Alpha
So, Tim, with the preaching bibles, which would you say is better, the vbv or the paragraph layout?
Personal I prefer the paragraph. Single column verse by verse doesn’t have enough verses per page.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews Thanks. That's what I was thinking too. I'm considering getting one and wasn't sure which one. Crossway makes so many great bibles, it can be hard to choose.
I’ve never been enough of a fan of the ESV to keep playing the Crossway QC lottery, but Royal Jongbloed rarely let anyone down.
Things have definitely been remedied.

Heirlooms are Netherlands printed.
