Your GIM series (and your teammates too) videos have helped alot to avoid some "noob trap grinds" etc. I havent played rs3 in like 10 years or so (after osrs came out). Randomly discovered your channel late-2024 and was hooked almost immediately with the double golden reaper series. Went back and watched the whole thing just so I could be fully caught up as more episodes came out. GIM series has also been super nice to see you all make such great progress. Some criticism here. I think if u just encouraged people to vote for your video without the phat give away, that would be good enough. Two- we both know you wont be giving this phat away, specifically any time soon because Gnomes never get actually delivered, or take years. Hints why you said physically holding it, which just felt wrong the way you said it. Best of luck though
It's a publicity stunt in a grey area sure. I respect and welcome the criticism, I'll share my thoughts. 1. RWT, I don't think so unless there's a cash prize associated with the gnomes that I'm not aware of. Nothing here's of real world value. What's the real world value of a survey vote for a popularity contest , what's the real world value of a plastic gnome trophy that's loosely associated with a 24 year old fantasy games fan convention that only ever happens every now and then? 2. Thanks, the majority of this video is centered around reminding people of my first years worth of content and the hat that is just the way I can envision celebrating a hypothetical win. 3. If gnomes never actually get delivered that's a major Jagex issue, but I hadn't heard that before personally. I never really payed attention to gnomes before it became relevant to me. What would the point even be if they don't give out the actual award? lol. I don't want a blurb on a wiki article that I'll never read I want a physical trophy for my gaming room. Owning a personalized piece of RuneScape history sounds pretty appealing to me, much cooler than a pixelated paper hat that I never wear over my snowman attire.

Well that's actually crazy. I don't really consider myself "in the space" either. I'm not in any kind of creator discord or community or even speak with any creators outside of the occasional comment. I glance at and skim through what some other people do but I'm not a big content watcher myself. I'll search for a few of those videos or see if there's stories on reddit about that. I know it's Jagex and all... but If that's really true that's depressing and I'll amend what I said about having the gnome in my hands, here and in a future video. When I have the gnome win locked in I'll do the giveaway. Outside of this video, I'm probably gonna keep updates on this brief and casually placed in my usual videos. Other of the publicity stunt aspect of this, one of the things I'd considered being a problem was attracting temporary subscribers only here for giveaway and not for the content. I guess we'll see how this whole thing plays out , should be interesting one way or another.

Hey man definitely awesome you’re trying to go for some of these awards and advocating for yourself, but for the music composition award it feels a bit bad to try to submit what seems to be an AI generated song.
Like I mentioned in the video, it's bit of a stretch. I've also never seen any original music compositions by RS3 creators, maybe they just don't get enough exposure if they're out there. It made me think it was a strange category to have on offer, but since I made something for fun this year why not mention it. Honestly though I doubt I'll win any of these, so I'm sure none of it will matter and hopefully no one will be hurt.
The difference I assume is you probably got nothing in return for it. For starters I honestly don't think I'll win anything even with this, but I also wear my snowman head over the hat anyway. A physical gnome for my gaming room sounds cooler than a pixel paper hat I never wear. Really only got it cause it was something iconic to grind for.
You definitely have a point. Guess we'll see if, and that's a huge if, I end up winning against some crazy strong competitors like IronAraxxor, Protoxx, Rheyo, etc....
