Assalaamualaikum.
I have been making firni since a loooong time. I use a fistful of rice for 1 litter milk and without custard powder. It sets very well. In the last five minutes I add a pinch of saffron. And after I put it in the container then I sprinkle elaichi powder on it. Alhamdolillah it turns out very tasty.
