This is BRILLIANT! The Arduino is the perfect centerpiece for a sci-fi adventure story, given the power and capability of such a small and inexpensive microcontroller. Whenever I'm making electronic stuff or programming, I always imagine I'm sitting in front of a wall of multiple flat-screen displays, observing the world around me and controlling as much of it as possible....kind of like Bruce Wayne or Tony Stark. Science, engineering, and knowledge give those heroes their powers and tools like the Arduino certainly have the potential to help open that up! I haven't read a word of this yet, but I can't wait to get started! Just downloaded the Kindle version of the book and I plan to read it tonight!
Thanks so much David - I really hope you enjoy the book! The author, Mark Lambert, was a ton of fun to work with. He took the original idea and ran with it. He has a great sense of humor, which I think shines through pretty well in the story.
Does the kit on a shield work with Leonardos aswell or is it only for Unos ?
It should work fine with Leonardo. (It should work on any 5V Arduino board with the UNO footprint)
