makes me sad to think MCA was too ill at that point to attend their induction but I hope he knew it was happening and how much the Beasties were loved.
That’s a fact 🙏💙
Chuck D is dropping facts!
In the words of Flavor Flav Yeeeeaaaah Boooooiiiiiiiii 😎😎😎
LETS GOOOOOO
Murphys Law and the beastie boys did punk together in the early 80s
Wow I didn’t know that🔥
@@StaxReacts they're fun.
LL cool J - cool personified!
Betttt
Its crazy that kerry king palyed guitar on no sleep till Brooklyn from slayer to the beasties
Do a Google image search, there's a great picture of the Beastie Boys Run DMC Rick Rubin LL Cool J and Slayer from back in the day
@@jeffcohnphotoAll on Def Jam.
Beastie Boys are the GOATs. They changed my entire life for the better. Met my wife at their concert. Always bringing the humor and socially conscious energy. RIP Adam Yauch. You definitely need to see their Glasgow 99 concert MTV broadcast live! Its them at their all time best live and Mixmaster Mike puts on a turntablism clinic!
Wow amazing story🙏🙏🙏
@@StaxReacts there is a much longer version to that story. Their music transcends time and remains a timeless testament to their creative genius.
Oooohhhhh snap Stax. 1:37 - You speaking the Paul Revere lyrics and knowing them was emotional for me. that is so rad.
Awww love ya man
87 was an amazing year, I was there....
I could only imagine
@@StaxReactsI was 17 years old in 1987. Good times to grow up in Philly...
Oh man i like this a lot. You gotta do the song Public Enemy number 1 and after that the new version of this Public Enemy number won ( ft Mike D, Ad-Rock & Run DMC ) true masterpieces
Bettttt
In 87 I saw Public Enemy open for the Beasties with Murphy's Law in Providence RI
Coming from a little European white boy...I was blessed enough to witness all the masters live that are on the stage...Love your content.🤜🤛
Those two kings of hip-hop both gave great, honorable speeches, but I couldn't believe the video ended without the Beastie's acceptance speech. That's bananas!
🙏🙏🔥🔥
good reaction..watching this tribute always gets me feelin alive again..
BB and PE 4EVA. Proud to have been shaped in early adulthood by these 2 groups.
🙏🙏🙏
💚CHUCKD💚
Murphy's Law is a punk band. The Beastie Boys originally started out as a punk band, but loved hip hop and decided to focus more on hip hop.
Oh man. Yeah. The performances are 🔥🔥🔥 play that!
YESSSIRRR🔥🔥🔥
I'm glad you watched this, it's pretty cool!! It give some interesting insight into the rap world back then, how much respect people had for each other and helped each other. Love it.
🙏🙏🙏💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you Stax!!!!
Of courseee
Thank you, nice reaction.
Thank you too!
I saw beastie boys and public enemy on that tour
Wow that’s amazing
yo your question in the beginning about Murphy's Law, no idea, i actually saw this first tour and they were on the bill, but in DC it made perfect sense to replace them with JUNKYARD BAND which is local to us and at the time were on DEF JAM
i know you wanted a performance just like everyone did, but they WILL NOT TAKE THE STAGE WITHOUT MCA and i totally get that
We're all very fortunate to be given the Beastie Boys' music...
Yesss we sure are
Murphy's Law is a fun punk band, they have songs like Back With a Bong 😂 I'm still waiting for you to check out the Beastie's punk tracks!
I’ll check them out for sure
She"s on it...
Early beastie punk tracks are wild AF
@@StaxReactsI see them a few times a year since 92.
Its punk hardcore ska reggae
Beer drinking weed smoking good times fun music.
They are old school in an Al Bundy Married with Children sort of way.
❤🧡💜
Murphy's Law were a punk band
Calling them punks was because The Beastie Boys started as a punk band with MCA on bass, Mike D on drums, Kate Schellenbach on drums/percussion, and Ad-Rock replacing John Berry on guitar when he left NYC in 1981. Kate left when they started rapping full time (after "Cookie Puss") and ended up the drunner for Luscious Jackson. The Beasties then opened fir Madonna in 1985. Licensed to Ill wasn't released until 1986. Madonna became a superstar during that tour (her first). That tour was one of the reasons thst Licensed to Illnbecame the first rap album to hit #1.
I actually hated the album when it came out. I was basically rotatong between 3 sets of friends, that, due to problems with each other, I had to keep separate. One wouldn't stop playing this album. One of the othets almost exclusively was playing early Metallica. (Oddly, I saw Metallica live with the Beastie fan.) Then Paul's Boutique came out and turned me around on the band.
Speaking of, besides the vocals, every sound on Paul's was a sample. There is a great video on youtube that breaks down each track and plays a clip of the original track for every sample. I recommend it if you can find it.
Stax! With all due respect, UA-cam premium! You need it!
Yes I do need it hahaaa
If I could like this 1,000 more times, I would! This induction was well deserved. Awesome reaction!🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Thank you so much brother
Very lovely for you to express your appreciation of the Beastie Boys and how they've influenced your musical journey. It's so wonderful!
Thank you!!!
i want to hear more stories about LL and MCA together.
He called them punks, because they started out as a punk band.
Makes sense
Also they were actually punks 😂
Murphys Law is a NYC hardcore band. Great songs. Do a reaction!
MCA, you will always be missed. But I'm so happy Mix Master Mike is in the Hall of Fame. He is otherworldly.
🙏🙏🙏
We have LL cool J directly because of Mike D....he literally took LLs demi tape into Rick Ruben, handed it to him and said " this guy!"...the rest is hip hopstory!
We followed the Beastie boys around Texas in the early nineties. It was tribe called quest, public enemy, and the Beastie boys. Amazing shows.
CRASH! That was cool, so when ya gonna do Glasgow '99? ❤🇬🇧🙏❤
Gonna do it live soon
The performance after this at the Hall is worth a watch. The Roots with Kid Rock do a great job.
You gotta react to Eminem and DJ Jazzy Jeff cover an LL Cool J banger.
🙏🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Beastie boys forever.
YESSSS!!!!
Beastie Boys are LEGENDS!!!! Never sold out!
Thanks Stax!! After seeing this, please ch check out: Beastie Boys live performing Sucker MC's (with Run-DMC's own reaction!)
I saw the New Haven Coliseum concert on that 87 tour. All of 15 yo. I never heard of Public Enemy or before that concert, but I had their tape by the end of the week. Such great memories of the 80s.
Great reaction Stax! Will you please do a reaction to their song ‘Nonstop Disco Powerpack’? I think it’s one of the best songs on their final album ‘Hot Sauce Committee, Pt.2.’
Those damn utube commercial bro🙄🤦🏽♂️... we all got the same reactions 😆
Murphy’s Law is/was a hardcore punk band
Gotta check them out now
@@StaxReacts there was a sort of camaraderie between the hardcore bands and the hip hop/rap guys. Bad Brains, a Black band pretty much invented hardcore. Check out Bad Brains “I Against I” even if not for the channel. Really enjoy your reactions !
Murphys Law one of the best party punk bands ever.
Beasties helped me keep my head above crippling grief after I found my best friend dead. Untreatable rare cancer. Died 2 days before her 42nd bday in her bed. It was devastating for me and her 2 young children. The light playfulness, clever rhymes schemes, and palpable love for each other was exactly what I needed to keep from drowning in sorrow, forever endearing them to me.
Sorry for your loss🙏💙
If you watch them accept the trophies they lay one down on its side. This was in tribute to Mca who was near death at the time.
Watch the Rush induction to the hall.of fame.
Well deserved for them!
Whoops! Missed the Boys performance! Try THAT R&RHoF video!
Will doooo
#BEASTIEBOYS🔥🐐🔥
I love that they are your favorite group. A top 20 over all. Top Ten Hip Hop artist.
🔥🔥🙏😭
If youre going live today when are you going live ?
I won’t be going live tonight apologies
Two more reaction suggestions... Beastie Boys 'So Wotcha Want Cypress Hill Remix" featuring Cypress Hill in the music video.
Also, "Public Enemy Number Won' featuring Beastie Boys and Run DMC, came out a few years ago
🔥FIRE🔥
I’ve done the first one already, and second one is on my list!!!!
🔥Fire brother. There's two different versions of So Wotcha Want have you done the Cypress Hill version featuring them? There's two different music videos.
Can't wait for the Public Enemy Number One reaction 🔥
Murphy's law is an adage or epigram that is typically stated as: "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong." In some formulations, it is extended to "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong, and at the worst possible time."
Wow I didn’t know that
Murphy's Law is also a band. 😉
And now part 2 of this video
For sure!!!
15.5K!
🙏🙏🙏
Great choice ❤️🙏🏻
Thank you 🙌
