YES! This is such a strong remake-especially compared to The Haunting remake that came out around the same time. And Geoffrey Rush channels Vincent Price in this flick. Most of what I liked in “Abigail” was how the character interaction and setting reminded me of this film. Great vid, Nick 🙌
This was the first genuine horror film I saw in theaters and I’ll never forget how terrifying it was to me from the very first scene. And then the thrill of escaping the house with the characters. Yes it is definitely hammy and cheesy, but it’s a delicious ham and cheese sandwich.
A late 90's horror film I initially dismissed. I had only seen it on TV and dismissed it as that "Mainstream horror" that I hated in the 90's. Years and years later I went back to watch it and damn, it's pretty damn good. Really good. So I watch it every once in a while. I love the idea. I love the concept and how it's used. I really love the husband and wife plot. I love some of the acting. I love the house and overall mood. Love the Marilyn Manson soundtrack when they all drive up to the house. So ya, I agree. Really good. I've definitely found a new appreciation for it for the past 7-8 years. Very happy I gave it an honest chance after all those years.
You're right. Its a great remake. Cris Kattan is better in dramatic roles than comedy. Much better than the original, like the remake of The Blob. In both cases, you can only go up.

Absolutely, I love this one too. I’ve been looking for something to watch and I’m gonna rewatch this. Thanks Nick✌️
LOVE this one! Very fun haunted house film (big fan of the original as well)

I agree. This movie is one of my favorite horror movie remakes of all time brother. So much fun. A classic! I loved it since I was a teenager
Glad I found your site-smart, great voice-I ‘m looking forward to your content!
AMC runs it every Holloween season.
I got to see this remake opening weekend and I never found it underrated and it's my favorite horror film remake
House on haunted hill is an excellent film. Saw it in the theater and had a friggen blast. Geoffrey Rush rocked his role.

Haven't watched it but I absolutely love the original from 1959! Definitely need to see it now! ❤
A great experience in a packed theater
Yeah that was a badass remake. I need to order the blu-ray. My DVD was uh, separated from me in my divorce. :(
Yes I love the remake and I know cgi is outdated but want this in 4k

I think the House on Haunted Hill remake is good…for a remake…but it does not hold a candle to the classic 1959 Vincent Price classic.
Hey dude I was wondering if you have a Letterboxd account. Would love to see your opinion on more horror stuff there!
Thirteen Ghosts was a way better remake if I’m being honest.
Should be a interesting video
