@@patmurdie Absolutely incorrect, Biden approved 100% federal cost share for 6 months, that means the federal government checkbook is available for whatever the costs are. I get it though, you’re MAGA so I wouldn’t expect a single piece of information you have to be remotely relevant or correct, in that world everything is made up to suit the narrative… And most Americans and the entire free world support efforts to fight against the communist Russian attempt to take over the western world… Not sure how the United States and Europe’s 80 year fight against communism and dictatorships is relevant to North Carolina. Please keep petty politics out of our state we need actual help here, not the usual horseshit rhetoric… Thanks…
Glad he got the hell out please keep ALL politicians out of Asheville. Biden being here meant that no aircraft could fly in desperately needed supplies for hours…. No one wants Biden here, no one wants trump here, we need actual help.
2 hours is more than necessary to see it, I’m sure he didn’t want to be in the way any longer than necessary to make the visit. If he didn’t come people would bitch about that… He signed the orders and unlocked the money, that’s the full extent of what any president can do… I live in those mountains and can absolutely assure you the ground he flew over is FAR FAR FROM BEING UNAFFECTED… You simply don’t know the situation here. The loss of life and devastation is EXTREME, much higher than anyone knows yet…
It was nearly all of western North Carolina… Asheville is the only landmark city in the area, everything else is rural… I live here and from what I saw they flew nearly the entire I26 corridor which is the majority of it.
Asheville airport is too small to support a 747 and all the equipment HMX1 travels with, especially with that airport being used as the logistics hub for the relief effort. There weren’t any other choices. The North Carolina disaster area starts just a few miles north of Greenville Spartanburg so they were in the right place.
@robertw1871 Correction. Air Force One can land in Asheville. President Obama did it, President Carter did it when it was a 707. I should know because I was there when President Carter did it, and I watched it take off.
And it only took him 6 days… what a joke.
He signed the paperwork instantly upon arrival to his desk… he’s a man not a god… no human being could have done better…
@@robertw1871 25 million to the flood, 8 billion to Ukraine.Great job Joe
And black hawks sitting in Asheville waiting for permission to take off? While people have waited 6 days for help

Where is the epicentre ?
Shouldn't even be in the news.
Where are they filming? Over Asheville? Or somewhere else??
He kept mentioning the devastation in Asheville and some of the other Counties. He specified Asheville.

Greenville is not the epicenter of damage
Nearest capable airport of handling AF1
AVL is being used for relief.
