Did I miss him completing White Sand or did he have to give up on it? EDIT: For anyone else wondering, I checked the website and it's still listed, it's just at 0 percent. That, plus him saying he wasn't gonna start Era 3 till January makes me think, once he's done with the novella, hell be spending most of the rest of the year on it. And that makes sense, considering he's not writing a whole new book, or, if he is, its a much smaller one then we are used to. So excited, can't wait to finally learn what is up with Taldain!!!

Just as a point of comparison, SLA books take lake 6 months to revise, but they're twice as long, and in some ways a lot of the work has already been done revising White Sand. It may prove to be the case that he's progressed so far in his craft, that revising a book that old is nearly the same amount of changing as writing it from scratch, even if he's sticking to the same general plot. And if he decides to start something from scratch anyways, If he ever wanted to increase the scope of white sands, to give more space to explore x, or set up y that'll be important later in the cosmere, then would be the time. We'll see. Either way, very excited for the prose version to finally be released.
We aren’t in Utah but if we were anywhere in driving distance I would have brought my kid to the signing. He probably won’t remember when he grows up. But it would be special to see him geek out when he sees the art…he loves books and would love most boring book. Thank you for taking time to write it and can’t wait for my toddler to see get his book with amazing art.

I don't have many complaints about Brandon or Dragonsteel but MAAAAAN do y'all need to get a bigger venture for Dragonsteel next year! I know it went crazy this time cuz its the Stormlight 5 year but the tickets sold out in less than a day, I believe. That's just too damn fast for most of us, lol.
Not just less than a day. Like less than an hour. I was planning to buy some but was driving at the time they released, and were sold out by the time I was home.
It really wasn't Dragonsteel's fault. They asked for more capacity, but the venue basically didn't believe they'd need that much. Brandon talked about it in a video back when they sold out.

Day 1 of sporadically mentioning that Blind Guardian has a song inspired by Way of Kings, which is called "Violent Shadows". It's metal and it's epic! And I dare to dream of someday seeing my favourite Metal Band and my favourite author in one video. :)

they’re already out of stock on waterstones ! there was no heads up to them releasing and they sold out in a few hours. really disappointed i missed them as i was driving all day and that led to me not getting one ! such a shame they didn’t give any sort of idea of when they’d release prior to them going available on the waterstones website.

My kids are so excited to go to the most boring signing ever. My seven year old is especially excited to meet Brandon in person.
The Worldhopper Ball tickets sold out within an hour. That's really fast.
