The Conservation Corps Fundraiser supports work at Little Red Schoolhouse and Forest Glen Woods. Adult crews work year-round to increase biodiversity and improve the health of our local woods, prairies, and wetlands. They remove invasive species and plant native seeds to restore the land for plants, animals, and people. Using proven methods, the conservation corps is helping to ensure the survival of these ecologically rich and biodiverse ecosystems.
We're raising $72,000 to help fund this vital work. Thanks to a generous grant from the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation, the first $14,000 we raised was triple matched, for a total of $56,000.
