Congratulations on the new axe, David 👍 it looks fantastic, but the QC is is not great missing that bridge pickup not being seated properly. Should be an easy fix though.
Bought the Agufish too and I can confirm the poor QC… mine has minor dings, scratches and glue residue all over the place. Bindings are not cutted precisely. But I am surprised by the near-perfect fretwork! I checked the whole neck with a fret rocker and find no high spots. All guitars Under 1000$ have some high fret in my experience but not this one… and this is pretty impressive!
I received mine on Monday, and the bridge pickup didn't have any hight screws at all. You are also not the first person I've seen a video of where there was a screw not set. Their QC is really bad in my opinion. I will say, Thomann got back to me quickly, and are sending out 2 screws to me so I can fix the pickup. I did take screws out of another Les Paul style guitar I have to make sure the pickup wasn't broken, and it worked fine. So it's an easy fix.
In my opinion, pickups are the weakest point of the guitar. The guitar is great, I have the ash top version and I am surprised with it. No QC issues. I may change pickups however to some Gibson ones or alike. The sound is very compressed and narrow dynamics. I have many guitars (more expensive) and I can say this is a phenomenal one. But yeah, pickups are so so but you can change them at any point.
You don't need to return it to fix that pickup. Take some pictures, send to them and see if they can give you a discount. You should be able to fix it no problem.
You must have bad luck. I have the SC 550 ii, Fusion T, JA 25th, ST-modern, Aeolus with locking Grovers (stock), and more and one had very minor QC issues. One tuner is hard to turn, but functions fully and the start of a nearly invisible neck pocket crack.
Hahahaha, welcome to HB! Another disappointed customer...here in Germany we know for years, that HB is the lowest line. What did you expect? You got hyped and/or scammed by a UA-camr and HB
I just ordered a B-Stock one, I hope it will be in good shape.
I ordered mine on the launch day, and I'm still waiting for it, no news at all. I got the baritone and normal, man I want it so much
Hope you get it soon :)
For real? Are you still waiting?
@@ryanryan8 question for me?
@davidtguitar sorry, that was for Jack who said he's been waiting for a long time for his.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
@@ryanryan8 still waiting, no info at all.

There’s Quite a few b-stocks available of the new Agufish guitar, which makes me think the QC have not been too good on those.
yeah seems like that unfortunatly

Nice :) Did you pickup work as they should? And mounted correctly?
@@davidtguitar Luckily no problem with the pickups
@@lucarenzi8033 Good to hear :)

Good news, happy it worked out for you :) A little strange that it seems like a common problem though...
Im curious if the puckups sound OK. The old Roswells are not very good (at least in my dullahan).

Hi, are the strap Pins Locking ones?T hey look like. Do you get Locks for the strap in the box?
yes :)
Sucks to have it arrive in that condition after waiting for it for years. 😕
I would send it back and get another, hopefully better one.
Yeah :( i think i’ll do just that

It LOOKS nice, but they need better QC
It's a shame that such an amazing guitar has QA problems
yeah :(
600 euro for HB is way too much since their QC hasnt improved at all. I own 10 of their best models but all of them had some sort of issue...ALL
I bought the amarok 6 and guitar max fusion. The only problem was I had to adjust the action, truss rod and intonation
I don't have any QC issue with my Agufish. Action is high, but that is not a QC issue.

I think overall Harley Benton delivers pretty good quality for the price, but in this case it was a little too much i think that went wrong
This is my first HB guitar and I didn't had any QC issue. The guitar is perfect and looks very awesome for the price.
