@@Canadianwheelchairguitar I'm glad to hear I'm not alone in preferring a heavier instrument. Thank you! Out of curiosity, what guitar were you playing? I'm picturing like a Gibson Les Paul Standard?
@@jeffreymartinez5829 It was my first guitar back in 2001. It's a green quilt top veneer Les Paul knock off with a bolt-on neck by a company named "Tradition" that may have lasted for a year. It's comparable to a Tokai. It's all green with white binding that has yellowed over the years. My luthier set it up way back when & I haven't changed anything other than the strings. My luthier is now retired but he compared it to a 1959 Les Paul.
This guitar looks amazing and I want to get it, but I've never played or owned a guitar that did not have fret inlays on the front of the neck.. hmm what to do
@@AndyG_ I'm biased, but I'd go for it before they're sold out (if they aren't already). I have a few guitars and basses with no fret markers on the fretboard itself. I really like the look of a clean fretboard, and I find that the side dot inlays are enough for me to find my way up and down the neck. Maybe you'll have a similar perception if you give it a try.
@@Przemek328 I'm so glad people are able to get one this time around. Or at least more people than the first time. I hope you enjoy yours!! FYI, it looks like they're releasing more of the same models with different finishes. The black and green ones just dropped. I suspect a shell pink one and maybe a sandblasted red one are incoming.
@Jake-Aprile The bridge pickup was completely separated from the pickup ring. I had to disassemble the pickup ring, remount the pickup, and then put it back together again. Ended up being an easy fix, but I was initially concerned there was more wrong with it. In the end, it turned out to be missed assembly and missed quality control.
@@mikelpagazartundua3294 I do like the pickups. The coil split feels like a true feature rather than an afterthought. When in single coil, the pickups are noisier, but that is to be expected. If you're looking for chugs, the pickups are certainly capable of that.
I'm not sure how many pounds it is, but in my opinion it is light even as a baritone. Compared to some of my other guitars, it is light. It is also weight-relieved.
Not at all, i had a Mex Tele and the Neckpickup didn't work, it was a B-Stock Guitar, they sendet me a complete new one for the same Prize and they where very polite.😢
I'm with you. I like a heavy guitar. My first guitar is 9 1/2 pounds & I played it for personal practice, band rehearsals & live shows over 7 years.

@@jeffreymartinez5829 thanks for the reply, appreciate it - great video too!
@AndyG_ Thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate it!!
Ooouuuufffff. Not good. All brands have issues, but that’s wild.
That being said, I hope this this baritone absolutely kicks all the ass for you! 😊
@ScreaminT81 Thank you! I appreciate that. I'm liking it so far. As you say, it's kickin' all the ass!!
@ excellent!!
I also bought one. It will probably arrive next Tuesday and I'm very excited.

What exactly do you have to fix on the guitar?

How much does it weigh? That is a deal breaker for me!!

@@jeffreymartinez5829 Mine as well, pretty light for a baritone.
From experience, Thomann is the worst when it comes to check the guitars before shipping!!! And customer service totally sucks.
