Ward: "Tell Skye this didn't change anything." God he loves her. I know he did a lot of bad thing...but i can't help but feel sorry for him. Especially when he has those puppy dog eyes. He is such a cutie.
What I am hoping is that this is a straight up good ol' escape. I want Grant to get revenge on all sides of this conflict. His brother, Coulson and Shield, everyone who has ever wronged him. He was dealt the worst hand in history and now finally has a chance to even things up.
Jun Ingeniero The mind has an incredible trick where it can deceive itself into believing what it wants even if it knows otherwise. Similar to what happened with Coulson but it's all natural. I find this theory plausible
I doubt Coulson trusted Christian. He's a spy after all and good at detecting bullshit, and Ward's brother was radiating it. Now I wonder if there would be any retaliation for the escape from the Senator. If Ward was telling the whole truth then Christian is a psychopath, one with political power, which makes him as dangerous as Whitehall and Skye's father together.
No he's certainly guilty of the things he's done, but those alone do not define his character or the person he can be. Let's wait and see what happens.
Brett Dalton as Grant Ward was credited only for the episodes he appeared in, he won't be credited for the ones he doesn't appeared in on season 2 of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.
I find it ridiculous that they didn't just sedate him during the transfer, go to sleep in one cell wake up in the other. and then one set of handcuffs no leg bracelets wtf? Transfer prisoners much...
Samurai Momo By whom? Coulson would have to be in on it to ok the method of transportation and I just dont see him oking the murder of two innocent marines. Its much more likely that it was just poorly written.
Something tells me deep down that both Grant and his brother are HYDRA, and were both responsible for the "torture" incident of the youngest brother when they were young.
Oh yeah! Grant Ward is loose! Lol, had a feeling that they were going to FINALLY let him loose this episode, this is going to make the show so much juicier! :D
The question now is was all of this planned, and by whom? Ward is certainly smart enough to see through Skye's little lame attempt at playing Black Widow and use it to his advantage to set up his escape. But I don't think that's it. Coulson was looking at his file before sending him to his brother. Could it be - possibly in a scene not shown and will be revealed later in the season - that Coulson realized that after losing agents in Belgium, he could no longer afford to keep a potential resource locked away? That he planned on making the deal with Senator Ward (who I suspect Coulson did not trust - remember he's a spy, smelling BS is part of the job) to serve his purpose, while at the same time putting Ward in a position to escape? Don't think he did not consider the idea cuffing Ward in the front, and knowing from the medical stuff in the file that he had a previously dislocated thumb (another memento from his brother perhaps?) would enable him to escape. I think so. But why? Now its possible that Coulson planned Ward to escape to find his contacts and track him to them, but then again Ward isn't stupid. If it was a setup to use him like that he'd know that the escape was far too easy, and know that Coulson would know that. Is it because Ward convinced him to give him a second chance? Maybe not entirely but its open provided that Ward does what he's going to set out to do. Namely infiltrate back into Hydra. He's already known to them, and his loyalty is unquestioned from past dealings. In short, he's a much better potential mole than that little twit Simmons. And only the two of them know for certain, which may or may not have consequences down the line....assuming the theory holds up.
Samurai Momo I know! :D so many different angles, I can't wait to see what happens. I honestly think Coulson know that Christian was terrible, he did have a complete file on all of Ward' s relatives, but he knew that he could use Ward to make the Senator go after Hydra instead of Shield. He knew that Ward would probably find a way to escape, but he also knows Ward legitimately wants to make nice with Skye, so he won't be too worried about him. And I'm willing to bet he imbedded a tracker I'm Ward without him knowing. But I think everyone I'm Shield is just happy not to have their traitor in their basement.
Grant Ward has been entertaining enough locked away in a cell his best scene had to be with Fitz but now that he's loose it's going to get a lot better and now that Garrett is dead I wonder if he'll be on his own side instead of S.H.I.E.L.D. or HYDRA since he said he was only loyal to Garrett not HYDRA also I wonder when Deathlok will return because I think he was one of the better characters of season 1
I'm pretty sure you can find the on the internet, but you thumb has it own socket, if you break it-and you know how to set it back in place properly-you just 'crack' the bones back in the joint. It will hurt, but it' possible
It is, it would cause major pain altought cause you are basicaly dislocating your thumb it would be easy for a double-jointed person like the following /watch?v=qlFdbBKLtP8 but those people aren't really dislocating anything they just have hiperflexible joints wich mean they can bend farther than average. I was trying and I can bend my thumb pretty far didn't know i could do that xD
Fools to think that a mere SWAT team could hold Grant Ward.

First on his to do list
1. Shave the beard
Nah that was second. First was steal someone's clothes and obtain a shitton of c4.
Well I mean he did it to avoid detection. He was most wanted after all

I agree, but Ward deserves to be on Coulson's team again for what his brother did to him
Except that Ward could have been lying about his brother as well. I still can't trust him.
HOW CAN HE BE LYING? we saw the whole flashback
Jun Ingeniero The mind has an incredible trick where it can deceive itself into believing what it wants even if it knows otherwise. Similar to what happened with Coulson but it's all natural. I find this theory plausible
Christain is a fake,a user, a dictator, ward has already punished him.
Now that is an escape, how can they believe Christian over Grant?

@@darthroden Christian is the lesser evil. Ward and Hydra are the greater evil. That's how Coulson understood it.
Like Ward said, he was a master manipulator. And Coulson believed every word of it

When will TV Police learn that is not the way you put handcuffs on? The saying "Put your hands behind your back" is their for a reason.
He'd still escape

It looks like he broke his thumb to escape the handcuffs is that actually possible?
it is something you can actually learn, bc it's easily to pop back in like a wrist or elbow, so yes he broke his own thumb
