Drag racing cars and bikes really brings family together .Awesome vids!
I think it was in 1976 or 1977 that I was racing at Formosa. I was racing a Kawi triple 750. Incredibly our pit was right next to the snake!!! It was really awesome to see him recently in one of your videos. I went into engineering research and never dragged again. But I'll always remember that funny car at Formosa, and the legend who drove it.

Jack I love all KZ… I guess my favorite in this video was the one with the senior rider… I am 65 and I still ride my 78 KZ 1000… it makes me feel young. Unfortunately they close Englishtown, now I have to go to Adco. And I love your Blue KZ.Happy to see your dad still rides

@@cycledrag The Suzuki GS because a 76 year young fella road it. That was just impressive and hope he can ride a few more years. But I prefer Kawasaki myself.

I have a new one 2016 Suzuki GSX-S1000 with a ton of mods to lighten and up the horse power! It’s straight 2” exhaust with headers, PC5, short levers, windshield it’s just mint and got stuff all over it! Has 6k miles on it and it’s always been garaged! I weight 280lbs and I run 10.5’s on it at my local track! I believe if I added nos I could go right on down into 9’s but I don’t want to blow my stuff up or add any more weight I cruse the streets a lot! I also have a CBR300R it’s weak but still fun around town! Bought it for my kid!
I applaud you, but you'll have to be born a lil' earlier to appreciate what I grew up on!!! I like your bike, I bet it's well enjoyed by you!!! A Kawasaki Z-1 is something that's enjoyed by people who know these bikes, so hopefully you'll get to know!!! I am rootin' for you, happy motoring!!!👍👍👍😎😎😎

That man is 5 years older than me, this video was posted 2 years ago. This being July 11, 2024, makes me 75 years old now and I'm still riding the quarter, well 1,000 feet now.
This channel is Awesome! My favorite is the KZ1000J2 as it's the only bike I ever had.
Damn that kz it a pretty bike. Love the style of the older bikes. But the tech on the new bones is insane. Can't wait for Spiderman to return.

@@grimeyhonkyracing3938 there are some on 7zerex channel. Sportster at barona. 11.62 in the quarter and 7.29 in the eighth. Street legal and daily rider.

Sure miss the old daz.. watching Elmer , Larry and John sands . That ol honda of John sands racing was the underdog.. but had its own unique sound being the only injected bike in the field... this was late mid80s at Farmington dragway in winston Salem n.c. .... where I started on a 1983cr60...

Wonder how much the 900 at 4.00 has been tested with something in front of the carbs - fx stacks... Sure helped my standard 2-stroke run nicer to get some..

Put both bikes together. Run air tubes and connect all 4 engines
Broke my neck on a GS. After that it was all ninjas
Being tired on a bike is never good. Ron looks like he's ready to call it a day. Pushing things too far can be very bad.

It's so clean now, I'm not sure I want to. We spend a day cleaning rubber out of the fender from burnouts lol.

mate I have a 1983 gpz kawaka and have built over the years and also a trumpi 675 and the old school will out drag new bike but not handle better

Good question. It comes from "Funny Car" but I'm not exactly sure other than they look like a "Funny" Looking car.
