Hi all. I have printed lessons I signed up for before the internet, and always stuck at the point of not signing up for the Kriya yoga, as I didn’t want to be dishonest about my doing the energization exercises, or trying to do them off a piece of paper. I wasn’t consistent. 😞 This UA-cam clip is wonderful! Thanks for posting. 🙂❤️
Thank You! I have been using this video since 2021 to do my energisation exercise EVERYDAY, before meditation and gym. This is literally my pre-workout, it gives me so much energy in the gym, I cannot explain it, you have to experience it for yourself. has anyone felt the same?

I would like to encourage everyone to get the Lessons that Self Realization Fellowship offers, made by Paramahansa Yogananda. The Energization Exercises are more detailed, there's more to them and the effect is way stronger. 🙏 This is a very simplified version.

When I received lesson # 6 I was son frustrated with it I didn’t know how to do it 🤦♀️I thought I wish I could ask someone from Self Realization Fellowship do it on a video and I buy it 😂it’s ok I have to make payments 😂I think my beloved Guru knew that I was about to cry and one day my niece came home from Arkansas and she was watching some videos and I saw you Swami Gyandev doing the exercises omg I jumped up and said thanks 🙏 thanks 🙏 😂😂that was me 🤷🏻♀️🤦♀️

Thank you for this video. I read the Autobiography of a Yogi and was curious about the exercises. It takes a while to "feel" some muscles tensing. In the beginning I stopped the video a lot to learn willing and feeling. The exercises are indeed so energizing that I am motivated to do them every day. They also feel like a chiropractic adjustment, popping joints included:)
I lived at Ananda in 1976ish, and we did this exercise everyday in a group!

I have been practising these set of exercises for the past 1 week, and I find tremendous change throughout the day.

what change did you feel, specifically?
Vivek Mangipudi i can tell you that they give you a light and tingley feeling. When you are like this it is easier to sit in meditation. Also, I think the make me feel and look youthful.
What change,?
My observation - physically, you will feel much lighter, like 10 kilos less than the weight you feel when you wake up in the morning. No cramps and groans when you climb the stairs, you just run up as if there is no gravity. Mentally, you are a lot more alert and active, just ready to dive into your daily routine. Makes you say "yes" to life. Spiritually, you feel an inner wellbeing, a tiny joy within that doesnt leave. In short, the exercises are magic.
Any exercise for the eye in this ?

This is NOT SRF. The exercises are given after the first few lessons. Yogananda said distributing the techniques outside of SRF causes heavy heavy Karma to the person.

This video has been so incredibly helpful in my spiritual life. After doing these exercises, my meditations are much more prolonged and look forward to them everyday - most thankful. One question I might have is on the fencing exercise - should we tense or relax opposite body parts as they move forward? If anyone can comment please do.

Good summary - I recommend also the Self realization fellowship enrollment which will allow you access to SRF app - and they have a 36 minute video with more details that I also typically follow.
This was a good summary but beginners need additional information to completely donit right.

Paramahansa Yogananda states in the written lessons after the Stomach Exercise, "Never practice this exercise with a full stomach. Always wait two hours or more after eating, or practice before eating. Women should not practice this exercise during pregnancy." It would be good to state this before the video. =)

Very Good, Only a couple of issues,
With the whole body individual muscle relax its done so fast, it's difficult to keep up in sync.
Also minor detail, first time he says weight-lifting to 'the side' is actually 'in front'.

This is a wonderful, divine service, beautifully presented. There is one small caveat: In the introduction the name Paramahansa is mispelled with out the third "a" Paramhansa. Yogananda's own signature shows the correct spelling. The problem would be when someone does a key word search with the correct spelling they may not find this wonderful video.
They spell it like that in the Ananda movement. This is separate from Yogananda's SRF.

The brother is showing the YSS /SRF energyzation exercises in different ways, which are appearing wrong in many or most cases. Please respected senior monks check his mode of practice and make sure that his Techniques are all right

I travel on the road for my living...so if it weren't for this video, I am sure I wouldn't do this at all. Not like it's easy to describe all this with words.
Also, during the energization exercises the eyes are lifted to the Christ Center and the attention is placed on the medulla.
