- It was a beautiful day so I thought I'd take you along for a ride on the awesome Cube Stereo One55 TM EMTB. I've been riding this a couple of months now and have raced a couple of Enduro events. I've changed up a couple of things and have a nice setup on the bike now. Fire away with any questions or comments.
Cheers
Sam
Just bought a 155 tm off sam, mega bike, and excellent service as always off cycle factory in todmorden.
Another good video sam
Cheers Nick
What a Ride! Just got a friend who order one today! Amazing bike and your skill's are next level. Any updates on what you did after? My friend is thinking of upgrading the front fork from 160mm to 170mm? What's your input on this? Keep ripping! 🤟🏻🚀
Thanks man 👊. Not long after this video I swapped to 170 travel fork and fitted a 65mm stroke shock I happened to have. That gives it just over 162 on the rear and the bike rides great with a bit more sending capabilities 😂👍. If you run the seat real low you could have tyre buzz on the seat so whatch that if you go for it. I won a lot of races this year on the bike like that. Cube are releasing a 170 version now i believe anyway.
First things first .. Nice video :) . I think that you ride Cube stereo HYBRID one55 which is a different bike compared to Cube Stere One55. ( a good (correct) title helps to find the video and increase views ) . About the bike .. how did you fell the flex of the back triangle ,I have seen in many reviews that the flex of the rear triangle is quite large, especially if it is a heavier rider (90kg or more) and the rear wheel ends up rubbing the frame
I'm 100kgs and after watching the german video I mentioned to alex I would never buy this bike, we're not light so to gain 1Kgs or less on the bike is nothing for us especially on an emtb I'm buying a bike with an alu rear triangle there's a reason why most bikes have this combo, I say leave full carbon frames to people who weigh 55Kgs I missed the good cubes in autumn sales so I'm probably getting a 2025 one44 altough it'll cost me much more money...they will have a new bosch motor Cx gen 5 and probably a 800wh battery oh and new display Purion 400 "allegedly" the fact Cube censored and blurred the specs display and component details says a lot and the final nail is that the one44 is announced for october and bosch is supposed to unveil their new motor oct 1st again "allegedly" ;)
Cool video. So what would you choose now Cube on 29 - 160 or one55 tm ? For the same money :) And what about rear flex?
Did you have any issues with the rear triangle and the fact that the wheel might rub?
Nice bike! How is the carbon frame holding up so far? Still durable, no issues?
It's holding up great, the rear end has some flex (not a bad thing). I put a bit of clear protection on the inside of the seats tabs to prevent tyre marking the frame. Depending how heavy you are / how hard your corner it may never be a concern at all.
@@cyclefactoryuk Cube know the flexing in the rear, and they have solved it in the new 2025 stereo hybrid One77 with aluminum rear triangle
Been waiting for a decent video of this bike so thank you, i currently have a Trek Fuel Exe overshocked/forked which is a great mid power EMTB and so quiet, and also an Ibis Ripmo V2s, being honest with myself my knees are about past it and i'll be replacing the Ripmo soon with a full power. I am considering between the Cannondale Monterra SL and the One55, The Cube seems to be a bit of a dark horse not overly reviewed and i'm looking for something around this weight as i still have to cross many stiles and gates or i'd buy something like a Privateer E161. Does it feel fast and nimble or like chucking a tank around a corner?
Personally I'd never consider an ebike without Bosch now. and especially not shimano. Its fairly likely with any ebike you'll have some warranty on the electronics at some point. In the UK thats Shimano / Madison and they are extremely poor, take forever and seem to enjoy making it difficult for shops to deal with. Bosch warranty is fantastic by comparison and obvs it has more power and range anyway. It feels very fast to me and very flickable. I won the Welsh Enduro (Gvet) second time out on it :-). I can't say you wont find it heavy as everyone is different and its your first full fat emtb. It feels a lot lighter than the Megwatt I rode / raced previous. It also feels like a toy compared to my MX bike :-)
Just wondering as someone who sells cube bikes, if you had a warranty frame replacement in but it was last year's frame and they weren't available any more, what would happen?
Never happened here, I'd imagine if you make enough noise you'll get the new version.
i saw the fidlock bottle on the bike and i like to know please what size is the bottle and if this is the maximum size in ml for this particular bike? thank you :)
750ML Compact bottle - large frame. I made slight modification the the fidlock mount to be able to slide it down 3mm further to clear the shock ;-)
One55 is a way better bike, the rear triangle flex affects few average riders. If your heavy / corner very hard the tyre can touch the seats stays, happens on most bikes really. A little clear protection and it's sorted.
Haven't see a single broken frame dude, the alloy rear end will be stiffer for sure. If you're a good enough rider you can rub the tyre on any frame 👍
How tall are you pls?

@@cyclefactoryuk thank you for such a quick reply , I’m 6,1 1/2 should I be looking at a xl do you think ?
@frankjrabergale2545 tuff one, if you after a big comfy bike to trail ride maybe xl. If you want to ride it hard, maybe race enduro, like tight stuff maybe Large.
@@cyclefactoryuk at the moment I’m riding a Orbea rise m10 size large , seat put back and bars rolled forward slightly and I’m getting away with it , I wouldn’t of wanted the xl , looking for a bit more power so went to mtbmonster today to (2 hour drive) to look at a large carbon mondraker crafty as it has a 490 reach compared to the rise 474 , but I got that same slightly over the top feeling I get on the rise and felt higher n not as grounded .so as I was going to leave I seen the army green 155 cube in the corner which instantly caught my eye , it was a size large and I sat on it but seat was to low and the assistant was holding it up by the bars n front wheel so couldn’t really get a feel and I didn’t push a test drive as it was not what I’d come to look at and I’d of needed to do some reviews , so it’s how I got here , I see it says you have one in stock at todmorden , if that’s correct I’ll have to have a ride out as your making it look like a real good bike .
