hey luke big fan here. as a greek i would like to offer my thoughts on the dipetsa collection and why it was as amazing as it was. dipetsa throughout her brand references greece and especially our seas and mythology. the beautiful wet dresses could an ode to aphrodite who was born out of the sea. this collection focused on what people have done to our sea. the goddess turned into plastic bags that poisonon our fish (you can notice this change in the fabrics from previous collections). the knits? they are the nets that ruin our reefs. the terracottas? the beautiful ancient greek art we find at the bottom of our seas… this collection was stunning and a reminder to protect our seas.
I don’t watch sped up (you must be a genius), but to me it’s perfect. You can watch at a slower speed. Why not just do that, rather than ask a creator to change the whole way they express themselves just for you?
I'm not a fashion girl, for sure, but I enjoy watching your videos. The best I could describe my understanding of fashion is your statement at 9:09: "I love that, I have no idea what's happening here but I love it." 😅
Omg Luke, thank you so much for talking about Shibori and how to do it @32:05, I’ve been wondering how to do it forever! I have a Shibori scarf and it’s insane I love it so much.
LOL, my first real job was in a donut coffee shop back in the 80s before they were everywhere. The boss also had the "eat as many doughnuts as you want while you are on your shift" idea, and I thought that was kind of a bad business strategy until the third day when I decided to never eat donuts again (lasted about five years). We also got a free dozen a week and my family was like "How come you never bring home the donuts anymore?". I forbid them from saying the word donut around me, lol. Excellent strategy, good to know it worked for strawberries as well, hehehe.
heard they also use this strategy for new employees in chocolate factories. it's funny how nobody could simply hold themselves back and continue to enjoy the product for years, instead of severely overeating and getting sick of them.
First time I ever ate kiwi was at a picnic. No one else wanted them so I ate all 15 or so with the skins on in one sitting. Still love kiwi, but now I’ve got a mild allergy to them. 😅
@@benzaiten933 Yeah, I didn't overeat them, but just having one every day and then smelling them all day, and smelling like them, it was just too much. Everything just seemed like...donuts...were...everywhere.
Lukar, I love you're video!!! I got a question for you. Why don't you do Amsterdam Fashion Week? I know you like the Dutch designers. It is a segmenting
I love a good flouncy knee or mini dress with knee length boots when I’m feeling feminine or want to remind people in the office that maybe something other than skinny pants/ athletic comfort ware should be worn now we are only in the office half time. Love J.W. Anderson, happy he has more accessible stuff I can wear in public!
For that JW Anderson kinda bomber jacket with the feathers my immediate thought was that it was supposed to look kinda distressed! When I look at it that way I like it a lot more, like it's been slashed and wrecked in a cool interesting way.
Like Daniel, why do I not have a intreccieto style leather bag in the Burberry check, every single season? Burberry has like 5 different establish check colours they use. Like they would have my money in 5 seconds if I could buy a Burberry woven leather bag in that classic nova check 🤤
Fabulous reaction to London fashion week - but it wasn’t Lady Cavendish, Deborah ( Cavendish - her husband the Dukes family name ) was The Duchess of Devonshire. X
Re: Burberry , I think Christopher Bailey was really the best for that house. Having the tiered Burberry made sense because I feel they are considered a luxury brand but they aren’t like a ✨luxury ✨brand. The direction they are going with pricing doesn’t line up with what we are getting. It’s like they were doing great commercially and said “how can we fk this up? I know let’s try to go fashunnn” and it’s just not convincing me or anyone else
@@witchsistah possibly but that would be Europe specific thinking I think. In North America or st least around me Burberry has always been waspy country club style fashion. I think they did a really good job making it commercial and whatever they are doing now I’m not sure what clients they are trying to get. The clothes aren’t saying anything
Interesting to see chopova branch into a different style of accessories, dont think ive seen such as many of (what looks like) leather handbags from them before
On the the topic of textile quality for pricing: I've always wondered why sooo many fancy bags can be so very pricy but then be Polyurethane 👀 Why? If quality would mean long lasting = leather, no? 😅🤔
that mowalola collection honestly is leaning a little too much on vetements and diesel. i find that weird since she already had a strong aesthetic to begin with
lesbians love carabiners so maybe they will buy from this collection, but yes agreed a let down from Daniel Lee after his last outing which was quite promising
Mowalola isn’t she who was fighting ppl in X, and wrote “cry me a river” than ppl started to message Ferfitch to cancel her than she act stupid and said I didn’t understand the meaning 🤣🤣🤣 isn’t the basic knowledge in fashion to understand what you design.???
I get that it is a form of art, but this isnt even artistic, its just"heyy im out of ideas, what else to deconstruct". I need to love it, want it. Whats the point if I wouldnt spend a penny on these plastic pieces. Would not even buy them to hang on a wall. All these looks are empty, souless...
Sorry to say but I’m going to be harsh… that Harris Reed show… yuck 🤢 not even a good optical illusion, when you think about the marvels produced by Iris van Halpern, also an unwearable waste of time, waste of the massive amounts of black & white yardage with plastic metallic thrown in… that has nothing of any relevance to say about the state of the world… just ugly & pointless… runway says it was a nod to Lee Macqueen… how?? In using black & white… how naive & literal! Really I hate being so negative but what a disappointment when a designer with a voice uses it to say nothing at all… 😖
I stopped watching this video at 22:45. ADHD or not - it’s too frenetic. Also, the fashion is on 1/3 of the screen and you on 2/3. Don’t get me wrong…I think you’re absolutely darling. But….
I did want to point out though sagging pants is something that very prominnently comes from black culture and trauma as i feel like the trend really got its start from the black man within the prison industrial complex! This was because belts were also scene as a makeshift weapon and could be used to commit suicide! Additionally, Some white masters would rape their African male slaves; subsequently, the victims were forced to wear their pants sagging so that their masters could identify them for future attacks.....Lets spread the right info together 👍
hi :) not to dispute your first points but I did try to look into your last point. The idea that "black male slaves were forced to wear their pants sagging so that their white masters could identify them for future s*xual attacks" is widely disputed, from what I've seen, and seems to stem from Jim Stillma. I don't know if it's perhaps misinformation linked with the myth that "the fashion of sagging one's pants was born of a prison mode of signalling homosexual sexual availability". Which is bogus and basically weaponises homophobia to be disdainful of the practise. (Snopes has a debunking article on it.) However, s*xal abuse was definitively widespread. "On Slaveholders’ Sexual Abuse of Slaves" by the National Humanities Center Resource Toolbox - The Making of African American Identity: Vol. I, 1500-1865, mostly mentions heterosexual abuse, but all forms is alluded to. I've seen also a lot of references to the horrible practise of "buck breaking" elsewhere, which seems to be were people draw the parallel with modern sagging ? Then again, I'm not American and not a solar on these matters, so please take what I say with a grain of salt !

People asking Luke to slow down, and I watch him at 1.75x 😂

Same
Hilarious. Do you really??? Oh no. I bet people secretly wish I would slow down too 😂
Too much caffeine 😅

Omgggg same lol
I want Luke's sweater.
The second model in Mowalola is ridiculously stunning, even by model standards. She seriously took my breath away.
very British in the good way ! love it also ....
you mean her 7:55? i dont think ive ever seen someone this deep shade of brown irl, its so beautiful
Thank you for slowing it up a bit lol I love your detailed explanations. It’s needed
thank you for being mindful of the talking speed! It helps those of us who aren't native english speakers keep up
Chopova Lowena designs give such Vivienne Westwood vibes. You can very much tell her influence here.
It's giving jester.
I had the same thoughts exacting especially with the plaid looks
I'm glad he slowed down a bit! Loved the Harris Reed

Luke, I totally follow your train of thought. I’m here, I stand, love it, have it, need it, don’t stop, can’t stop, and so forth and what not
Chopova Lowena 😍 just perfect
Your Burberry take was ::chef's kiss::
The way you dragged Burberry 😂 but also…you’re not wrong…

That Red Richard Quinn flouncy number would live it's dreams on Florence Welch.
black dark chocolate models - loving it
It was nice to see other designers, not just Channel ,etc. Definitely different ,I liked JW clothing.
Agree with everything except I LOVED the Simone Rocha collection. One of my favs from her tbh
Jonathan Anderson needs to get his 💐!
Just love his look on designing clothes & looks & shapes,..
For his own brand and for Loewe
💯♥️
✌🏻🍁
Corinthian, Doric, Ionic, Luke 😉
The Harris Reed collection is VERY My Fair Lady.
Thank you for the Burberry roast. I’m a Burberry girl, love my staple coats. Lately…carabiners? Where am I hiking in this crap?
Harris Reed black and white puts me in mind of My Fair Lady and Eliza's black and white ensemble especially the hat.
Lukar, I love you're video!!! I got a question for you. Why don't you do Amsterdam Fashion Week? I know you like the Dutch designers. It is a segmenting
Thank you for showing me brands I did not know existed,💚
.....always an amazing review, #Bravo!

Brilliant video!
New York didn't feel like anything this season.
It never feels like anything anyways. Just like to watch Christian Siriano to have a good laugh and then scroll to Paris, Milan and London.

I really want to know how they got into those clay hoodies, are they all contortionists?
I hope not
The black di petsa dress gives me the little mermaid tying the sail around herself.
7:45 I was one of the people asking; thank you 🙂🙂
The double woman logo is so similar to kappa logo that I can't unsee it
Omg of course you’re an Aquarius. Love the channel!
What's going on with the Erdem shoes? 🤔
Totally thought you were having a stroke when you quoted “Great Aunt Tessie” 😂
Richard Quinn at Balenciaga would be sublime
Fabulous reaction to London fashion week - but it wasn’t Lady Cavendish, Deborah ( Cavendish - her husband the Dukes family name ) was The Duchess of Devonshire. X
Loved Di Pesta
Will you ever do Lagos Fashion Week? Pleeeeeeaaasssseeee! I wanna hear your thoughts on African and Asian Fashion

I wonder how much it had to do the brand's association with the chav subculture.

at 9:05 Mowalola was that a bejewelled cesarean scar?
Do you have Paris Fashion Week
please please please do a breakdown of the fashion in ugly Betty! I wanna see your opinions
Daniel Lee is your new Maria Grazie
Luke mowa was referencing karl lagerfeld with the "4 slim people" look
Your fave look reveals that you are 🎉🎉🎉
Male 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
Interesting to see chopova branch into a different style of accessories, dont think ive seen such as many of (what looks like) leather handbags from them before
I think that is not a 'Mowalola bra in 10:29" . That is what we called as men harness or chest strap. It is very popular in gay sex playtime
Don't slow down, you are like a double shot of caffeine. Woot!
Appreciate slowing down a hair...and making me laugh, as always!
Can you do the Billboard Latin music awards?
Stop exploring carrabiners! Is killing me

For my birthday, can you please pronounce it as "OAT LA MUD" at the beginning of the next video. It would mean the world to me.
please do this!!
So can someone tell me who actually buys these
"for slim people" is crazy 😲
I only stopped by to see what Naomi wore 👸🏿
Really? It seems at first glance London is more interesting at least than the US. But I’m no expert.
I feel like chet lo never heard of popcorn fabric from the 90s
Yaaas!
🌟🌟🌟
You are a hoot, sweetie.
Ngl I’ve never seen silver used as much before Beyoncés renaissance so idk call me delusional but beyoncé made silvers comeback
Harris Reed feels very Madonna 🎤🎼
What is with the shoes that drape to the ground. 2 designers..
I was so confused by the drop waist coats at Burberry like WTF was that! Who's gonna wear that no muthafuckin body
Daniel Lee was disappointing. I had high hopes for him after Bottega and the pre-fall collection. Hopefully he recovers and delivers something great
Luke your fk british accent kill me, everytime! hahahah i will pay just to hear a whole video of you just talking like that. Love from Colombia!
lesbians love carabiners so maybe they will buy from this collection, but yes agreed a let down from Daniel Lee after his last outing which was quite promising
Overall, imo, eck !

The Harris Reid stuff looked very inexpensive.
Me with also ADHD: slow down? He was going too fast?
There not blue strawberries there bur - berries. I though it was quite clever.
😊
The shoes in Erdem collection were horrific!

I love the different sizes! I hated the heroin chic era. Not beautiful, not inticing. Healthy bodies are much more beautiful.
Not a fan on leaving the label on the sleeve. Kinda boogie.
Luke ... London accent ... stop it 😭😜
They're now "rating" diversity?

Clearly, I have no taste. I liked the Burberry summer 2025. every piece? no. but, overall a real person could participate.
The first group looks like hobble skirts.

Extreme but less successful than Ascot Scene from My Fair Lady movie.

The inclusive models let you see how bad most these clothes look on people who are not thin.
Meh!
Too many clothes
