    Hi, I dont think you were negative in your last two videos about Sezane cloths and accessories. The reason why we like your videos , its because you are honest and help us to select the best that suits our color and skin texture

    I’m hoping Sezane do an “above the knee” trench. I’m petite and the current trench coats swamp me 😢
    The capucine cardigan is a favourite of mine and the Adele dress in the current silk fabric. I wear jeans a lot so Sezane lacy cotton shirts are my favourite item.

    They were NOT negative, they were just true. I bought 4 items and sold 4 items, and there's a reason for it - itchy, bad quality.....

    The great thing about *Sezane's* buttoned cardis and henleys is that so far they're still making them with reinforced buttonbands. This provides much needed structure - especially in a heavier fibre like cotton. This is exactly why you may have noticed that Sezane's cardigans don't suffer from sagging buttonbands and gaping buttonholes. I was recently very disappointed by a cotton cardigan I got from a different brand - at a higher price point than anything similar from Sezane - that arrived with cheap plastic buttons, sad saggy buttonholes and no reinforcement. For the price I paid I expect much better-than-Uniglo-or-Gap finishing and so far Sezane's buttoned knitwear has delivered big time for me.

    What I appreciate most about Sézane is that, unlike most French clothing brands, it is size-inclusive so I can order in my usual UK size 16-18. I love the CHLO blouses and have just ordered the WILL jacket in toffee suede which I am excited to try. I have put the FARROW bag on my wish list, and am thinking of ordering that and the DAN trousers next.

Regarding the most underrated Sézane items that you’ve mentioned in this video, I do agree with many of your suggestions and I own quite a few. My Scott trench is a piece that I will have forever as are my Leontine sweaters.

    I love my Bree and wear it all the time. I also love my Leontine and appreciate the texture. I have the Capucine in white and the coral rose, and they are my go-to summer cardigans. Finally... I'm a Clyde girl... and while I agree it is not waterproof, it IS water resistant and quite warm! Great choices!

    Your videos just keep getting better! ❤ 100% agree with you on the Deia shorts and the Farrow bag, I've had them both for 2 years and they're probably my most worn pieces from Sezane, closely followed by the Leontine jumper. I think that for people who, like me, are not really into bags and just like to have one or two that they use interchangeably, the Farrow is definitely a great alternative. Also, their cotton marinières, while not being the most exciting thing, are also quite underrated - they're a bit more special than a simple basic top, but their thick cotton material makes them quite sturdy and long-lasting. I do still think Sezane excels at their more "basic", classic items. I don't know if the September essentials collection will become a permanent thing, but if they do it this year I know in September I'll be eyeing one or two things.

    • @katie_louise

      awh thank you so much!! yes, I'd love to add a marinière to my wardrobe at some point too :) I'm very intrigued to see what they'll do in September too, it's always my favourite Sézane time of year...

    I have the original Andrew dress in the pink and gold paisley, and I will never sell it. I miss old Sezane. Many of their originals were so special and incredible quality. I have original sweaters, dresses and tops that still look current. I also love the Leontine 🩷💫

    Don't listen to the haters. I LOVE that you're calling out Sezane. I feel like so many people only ever say positive things because they want Sezane to one day gift them free clothes!
    I was recently really surprised by the patent leather camel Livie belt. I saw it on @thelidiaedit and couldn't believe it wasn't sold out.

    • @Blondie77128
      @Blondie77128 2 місяці тому

      The delusion is this will ever happen. Sezane is hyper selective of who they work with and gift items too. I only know of one.

    • @u2v22
      @u2v22 2 місяці тому

      @@Blondie77128 There are quite a few! I've seen them gift and work with super small creators (like Jeans and a Teacup) and bigger ones (Bethany, AlyssaB, Lydia, AudreyC). Then there are also some random "mom" type USA influencers (Karina R) and others I watched bits and pieces of their videos. Some are really surprising so I don't watch till the end.

    • @u2v22
      @u2v22 2 місяці тому

      @@Blondie77128 Sezane has actually been going wild with "influencers".
      BethanyLeo, Audrey, Alyssa, even smaller creators like Jeans and a Teacup have worked with Sezane. Other random "mom" type USA influencers (KarinaR) which was really surprising have also been part of sponsorships.
      There are lots of smaller ones too that don't "work" with the brand but just get gifted free clothing.
      I'm sometimes confused with the direction of their influencers but there are definitely quite a few.

  • @Blondie77128
    @Blondie77128 2 місяці тому +1

    Dear Katie, please don’t take too seriously the opinions of others who labeled your previous videos of honesty regarding Sezane as negative. With the internet and social media people are a bit too bold to go after others who’s opinions don’t reflect their own. Honesty and a different perspective is refreshing and we need balance. It’s perfectly fine and acceptable and encouraged to think differently from others. Quite shameful for those others to come at you just because they feel uncomfortable with your differing views. Their own lack of confidence and likely denial (probably having spend lots of money on disappointing items) is the problem here. Your honesty makes it harder for them to manage their feelings. Don’t cave to such folks. Keep being you!

    I have about 5 pairs of Rome shorts 😅 As far as I can tell, the main differences between the Rome and the Deia are: 1) the Rome’s front pleats extend above the waistband, 2) the Rome has rolled legs, and 3) the Rome has contrasting buckles. Imo these details make it a slightly more elevated style than the Deia. Depends on what you’re looking for - the Deia is a nice option for a casual denim short, the Rome comes mostly in other fabrics and colors. Definitely agree on them fitting larger hips well, and I LOVE the flared leg shape. So flattering.

    Lastly, you keep saying sezane is expensive and I partly disagree on that. Everything is expensive nowadays but sezane compared to other similar brands is less expensive. I am in the EU so maybe prices here are better.

    I have 2 Fleuron bags, the Mini Hortensia (new) and the Mini Swann (second hand) and I can absolutely attest to their quality. I believe the pebbled leather is the perfect mix of sturdy enough to hold it's own, but soft enough to have some give and the mini sizes aren't too small (I believe the standard Swann would've been a tad too big for a petite girl like myself tbh). Like you said, their colors are lovely and I've gotten so many compliments on both. Can't recommend them enough! (I haven't tried Sezane's bags due to the mixed reviews, but I might bite the bullet and get the Claude one day 😂)

I also love the Chamade sweatshirt. I’m still using my original Gaby bag after 7yrs and my June bag (3yrs). The Harpar dress is my winter go to. Bottoms, unfortunately only the Brut Sexy are for me. Very useful video! Some of those were already in my radar: Bree, Leontine, Matthew, Rome, the Farrow bag... and the Scott trench! Totally agree about this last one. I get the hype about the Clyde trench, but I need to change my trench for a good one and Im completely sure it will be Scott, not Clyde! ❤
    My size is in between 34/36, but Im a little curvy and I also found Sezane shorts fits susprisingly well! I think Tyson shorts may be underrated, I Don't Know if they have it Right now, but I always find them easily on the Archives! Also Alan shorts, same thing. And the Bettie skirt, very classic and timeless! Another favourite is the Pippa dress, but definitely not underrated... And I find the cotton summer tshirts to be very soft, very good quality, you can dress completely casual with them but it makes a difference 🥰

    I agree with the Justine bag and their other textiled bags. I do think the raffia mini farrow is worth it though.
    I have wasted money on cheaper raffia bags believing that for raffia, I shouldn’t spend three digits on organic textile, but honestly, the cheaper raffia bags are exactly that: cheap in quality. I regret not just buying the. Raffia Farrow to begin with.
    I also don’t want to spend an insane amount on designer raffia bags like the Loewe ones.
    Honestly, the raffia Farrow is a good compromise for price and quality. The raffia is surprisingly soft compared to my cheap raffia bags. I have been using it all summer! ❤
