Lay Flat Mini-Book Binding

- This is the binding I used for Button Farm Club's Moonlit Garden mini-book. It's a "lay-flat binding" Once you create the covers and spine, add the pages, open the book and your pages will "lay flat". Its such a great binding for mini-album makers. And no, it's not an original by me. Someone showed me how to do this.

I might want to use some self adhesive tyvek tape to support the bending of the pages over and over.
Hi Sharon. I used to use Tyvek but found it added more bulk than what I wanted . . . mainly because I had to then cover the Tyvek with decorative paper. I will say that using Designer Dries Clear adhesive, I've not had that problem (yet) and I've been using it for over 10 years. It also helps to use a good and sturdy cardstock like Bazzill.
I just bought a brayer for smoothing out the paper on the covers.
Is Art glitter glue more likely to ripple than fabri tac?
Not at all. I've never had that problem with Art Glitter Glue.
You have a lay flat cover, but where's the binding?

Does the memory keeper tool that you use to mark the corners.. leave 1/4 inch allowance?
Do you mean at the very corner? Usually when I do a corner, it's mitered so that you have just a bit left - but not 1/4". I think 1/4" would leave too much bulk at the corner (but that's just me 😉) When wrapping chipboard with paper, if you miter the corner and leave just a scant (less than 1/8") at the corner, you won't get bulk and it will come out nice and pretty - yet covered. HTH.
1/4" allowance for what please? If you mean the horizontal and vertical allowances for wrapping the edges - no. You have to do that yourself. Actually I use a 1/2" allowance for wrapping book edges. HTH

I'm sorry but that's not mini at all and you're not even showing how to make the signatures and attach them to the book cover.
You are correct that this is a partial video and does not show the signatures. This video is intended to go along with a mini-book project I designed for The Button Farm and only shows a small bit of how to wrap the covers. It is not intended for a full process.
