More stands, mounts and light fixing solutions please this was great! Best lightweight combo stands with wheels for aperture lights if possible! If you could share some nifty tricks and gear that you use on the daily for mounting frames. Portable frames with cloth or diff for small crews etc. That would be awsome.

It is worth pointing out the the base of the cold foot is tapped not just for 1/4”-20 but also has the key holes for Arri anti-twist pins. This allows connecting two of the iFootage magic arms end to end. As someone already pointed out, the SA-32 does a very good job of being a second support for a slider for a slider when there isn’t room for a second tripod. I use it with a 24” Rhino carbon-fibre slider.

I have the ifootage monopod and it's fantastic. Didn't know they have all these other accessories. Thanks for the heads up!

This day-by-day tools and stands are often forgotten, but very useful to get a good lightning. Placing the light is also important, not only the equipment. Make more videos about this, thanks.

Nice Andrew! Great work highlighting the main feature that separates this kit from the many others that have similar systems! I have used ifootage camera rig gear for years and their design, tooling and machining has always been of the highest standard!🙏🏾

Great video, as usual. Is very rare finding a good review of this kind of inexpensive accessories by a real professional

That long arm would by also useful for a rim light on a interview. Thank you for showing us this

great review, but one more trick, as you have the clamps on each end, you can use it for booms, aka as an angle support, to help hold the weight up keeping everyone safe.

The extension arm is generally used to support one or both ends of a slider. This SA32 looks like some sort of variation of those slider supports that I use. The dual pin lock is often referred to as Arri style pin system. At least that’s what small rig calls those pin systems. As you can appreciate not only do lights tend to unloosen if you use the left side configuration but so do small monitors which people do tend to out in the left config so the double pins can keep the monitors from twisting around as well as up and down.

I’ll buy the long one. I have one of their sliders. The build quality is A+ Grade

I have a couple of these iFootage Magic arms. They work great for quite a few things. However, due to that small amount of play in the QR mounts when the arm is attached, I just don't like these holding my on camera monitor. I've asked iFootage when they will have a Nato clamp version as that would fix my issue. But they have no ETA on that option. I hope they make this soon because the Matthew Infinity arm is quite $$

The spider crabs are the best magic arm. Simply nothing better that I have used.

They are great but over a £100 for a magic arm is criminal

I love ifootage, just way too expensive

    Thanks
Peacefull sky to you all , first of all
What about comparing this system with all other antirotating dessigions
Like there are plenty of "arri locating pins/holes" in smallrig products and there is all this manfroto micro arms products (that are more expensive probably and lock you on the kit... as a ifootage probably too )

I was thinking the long one to clamp to a shelf above my desk for overhead shots? What do you think?

    • @gaffergear
      @gaffergear  2 роки тому

The shelf could tip out because most times they are just held in by gravity

Great Video! How do you think these compare to Kupo products in terms of quality/value?

These are a bit pricy, but definitely worth it for the build quality. Both brands are well worth the money

Is the 3/8-16 with 2 pins a standard Arri mount configuration?
If so, I can get behind this.
