Terrifying in a good way?? I've had a bunch of comments answering these questions, but it's still much appreciated! Thanks for the comment and checking out the video!
Wouldn´t it have been nice if it had been made clearer that it is made of chocolate? For example with Yoshi being able to eat some bits here and there like he does with the red fruit on the bushes (are those tomatoes? I have always wondered, lol). I beat the game too, I always thought there had to be 100 stages and I was unable to find the last 4 ones, then, almost 20 years later, I learned there only are the 96 that I found (if I remember the number correctly).
@@Lizuma That is so funny, well, to us they were tomatoes. But we didn´t bother much with the explanations anyway since most of them were in English, and our English wasn´t good enough yet to get through it all. Berries, eh? Giant berries, actually they must have been the size of small pumpkins. And Yoshi swallowed them whole!
Definitely adds more detail having the paths laid out. Also love how you have the castles and towers intact despite the paths laid out as they'd be destroyed by the time you reach the sunken ship after being defeated by Mario or Luigi. 8:09 I don't know if you got further in the game, but those levels with the rubble piles are underground levels. So I guess they're meant to be either cave entrances or holes in the ground or something like that. 10:42 I know what happened there, but not sure whether to say or not as I don't know how far you got since making this video.

7:44 you actually explained the reason for those even existing. They wanted a mario 3 difficulty normally, but then decided to make things easier since its a new system, and new players might join since its not numbered, to make the switch blocks for extra platforms and powerups specifically for those players
Awesome! Great work. You put a lot of effort into this, and it shows. To the end of the video, I would have added a side-by-side comparison of the printed graphic and your clay model.
Never played mario world? That's my favorite game. I know it forward and backward. It's definitely worth playing more of it 10:41 haha! You even included the best part of the game? Brilliant! Be sure to swing by castle 4 on your playthrough to understand this
I think this is my favourite project from you. So much detail and the final result is incredible! And the video wasn't too long, I watched the whole thing and it was over before I knew it!
Hey, thanks! I'm really glad you liked it! I think it's still my favorite as well :) I want to make some more maps from Mario or Zelda, just not sure which ones.
Awesome! This has to be one of the coolest things i've seen made out of clay! If it's not too difficult (I wouldn't know i don't make anything out of clay) I think a level from Super Mario 64 would be really cool to see, that's my absolute favroite game ever made.
This is amazing. SMW is the first SNES game I played. Would you consider trying this with Link to the Past's World Map? I'd be glad to pitch in to cover costs. Thanks for taking the time to make these!
The original manual had a clue "From Donut Plains onward, many course points are red. At these course points are hidden different goals and keyholes....". I never read the manual and instead spent hundreds of combined hours exploring every single level trying to find alternative paths, switch palaces, and star road access points. If I could go back and do it all over again...I would do it the exact same way. The game is a staple of my childhood and the fun times with my friends. Those memories make me smile.
Awesome work, looks a lots of fun to make it. For a real good challenge and very exciting maps, you could make both maps of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, the light world and dark world, there's a lots areas, dessert, lake, mountains, a big castle in the light world and a pyramid on the dark world. I pretty sure that it could catch your attention.
I would have loved to have seen your face when you found out that island was made of chocolate and isn't a desert at all... though I suppose it is a dessert!
This is absolutely amazing! This was the first video game I ever played, had it for my GBA, and put many many hours into it. The map is pretty much dead on. Nice work!
Amazing work! You don't happen to have recorded your playthrough? I've been looking for a decent complete blindrun for ages, but those are rare generally, and even more so for classics like this that everybody seems to at least have some prior experience with.
2:49 Unless you have switch online or something, that's what we like to call piracy. Sorry? Edit: Great video! Some SMW tips: Levels that are red have 2 exits! L and R (the bumpers you use to grab in smash) allow you to move the camera left and right. Edit... again: Know that I am definitely not the most qualified person to talk about this game. I just played through it once. Also, the red switch exists, I just don't know where.
Hey thanks for the tips! I'll give them a try. Also thanks for bringing the piracy to attention. If I'm not downloading a ROM, but instead playing it online with no download, is that still piracy? I didn't know emulators were piracy.
@@Kerobyxclay Emulators as a whole are not piracy. The main thing is you own the game in some form. An example would be you own the game cartridge, but not the console. You can own the game in any way, and that includes digital downloads! Playing a game online does use an emulator that's embedded into the site, so it follows the same rules. Besides, it's a game worthy of support. The cartridge is about $20, and switch online has a game that allows you to play SNES games. If you already have switch online, it's fine to use an emulator to play SMW Also, on the controller issue, I believe most wired controllers can be put into your computer.
@@redpup6931 gotcha, that makes more sense, since this video I've learned that I can use a wired one :) thanks! And thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
I'm in a similar situation with Yoshi's Island: I'm finally able to play it after so long, but only because I got a controller to use with my SNES emulator, as I never got a SNES or SNES Classic and couldn't wait any longer. A wired Xbox controller works very well on PC and is cheaper than a wireless one. I can understand how difficult Super Mario World would be with only a keyboard (I actually played that one to the end already but with virtual console on my 3DS). Continue playing it if you havent beaten it, it's so good! And get it on virtual console or get a controller if you havent already!
I really enjoy the attention to detail and overall accurateness(?) to the in-game version. Forest of Illusion's full map was a pretty great addition, too. To call this a great job would be an understatement.
That's my new favorite work from you. The details, the effort you put into it... Absolutely stunning! You really deserve so much more attention!

Wow this is really good!
7:44 you actually explained the reason for those even existing. They wanted a mario 3 difficulty normally, but then decided to make things easier since its a new system, and new players might join since its not numbered, to make the switch blocks for extra platforms and powerups specifically for those players
This is so cool
Thank you!!
@@Kerobyxclay your welcome
@@Kerobyxclay I hope you do Sonic the Hedgehog next time
Perrrrrrrrfectttttttttttttttttttt❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What a nostalgic piece of art :)
Thank you :) I just posted the map from Super Mario World 2 yesterday if you want to check that out as well!
Its just a f. I never used facebook in my life xD luckily
Awesome! Great work. You put a lot of effort into this, and it shows.
To the end of the video, I would have added a side-by-side comparison of the printed graphic and your clay model.
Oh that's a cool idea :) thanks!
Never played mario world? That's my favorite game. I know it forward and backward. It's definitely worth playing more of it
10:41 haha! You even included the best part of the game? Brilliant! Be sure to swing by castle 4 on your playthrough to understand this
Haha I do know that reference now. It's a great game!
@@Kerobyxclay Wow I'd love to see something from Zelda, I'll keep my eyes peeled for that!
Awesome :)
Awesome! This has to be one of the coolest things i've seen made out of clay! If it's not too difficult (I wouldn't know i don't make anything out of clay) I think a level from Super Mario 64 would be really cool to see, that's my absolute favroite game ever made.
Thank you very much! Thanks for the suggestion as well!
This actually looks really good it's my favorite mario game
This is amazing. SMW is the first SNES game I played. Would you consider trying this with Link to the Past's World Map? I'd be glad to pitch in to cover costs. Thanks for taking the time to make these!
I will make this eventually!
You did a great job, man! Specially considering that you have no experience with this videogame. It’s just amazing!
Thank you very much!
One thing I always loved about Nintendo games is all of the secrets! It adds so much value to the games!
It is SO cute and AWESOME!!
Thank you!!
Thank you! I have had my eyes on that one for a while now.
@@Kerobyxclay I'll gladly watch the video when you do it, it's very relaxing seeing your work,
I would have loved to have seen your face when you found out that island was made of chocolate and isn't a desert at all... though I suppose it is a dessert!
This is absolutely amazing! This was the first video game I ever played, had it for my GBA, and put many many hours into it. The map is pretty much dead on. Nice work!
Thank you so much! I'm happy to hear you appreciate it!
Amazing work! You don't happen to have recorded your playthrough? I've been looking for a decent complete blindrun for ages, but those are rare generally, and even more so for classics like this that everybody seems to at least have some prior experience with.
I did not... But I didn't beat it either
awesome job!
really cute!
Thank you!!
OMG!!! This is super cute!!!! Love it so much!!!! Congratulations!!!!!
Thank you so much! :)
13:39 "it looks sort of milky not clear" oh you know exactly what it looks like
Neat! I'm just imagining if you ever revisit Super Mario World, you could make a cool display to hold this map and a few of the smaller subareas.
That would be cool!
I’m interested in the reason why you wanted to make this world map In particular since you hadn’t played the game before? Great work =)
Because I saw how amazing the map looked! Thanks :)
SIMPLY AMAZING!
Thank you! :)
Love your stuff Mario Gang gang
I planned to click here and just skip straight to the finished result, but goddamn if I didn’t get drawn in and watch the whole thing. Awesome!
I'm glad I got you to stay! Thanks!
very beautiful work. You should create a 2x bigger world (w/ bowser cave included underneath and the other cave)

Unless you have switch online or something, that's what we like to call piracy. Sorry?
Edit: Great video! Some SMW tips:
Levels that are red have 2 exits!
If you already have switch online, it's fine to use an emulator to play SMW
Also, on the controller issue, I believe most wired controllers can be put into your computer.
@@redpup6931 gotcha, that makes more sense, since this video I've learned that I can use a wired one :) thanks! And thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
Dude these are awesome! The map from Super Mario RPG from SNES would be so cool!
I have been thinking about that one!
Dude, that was sick! Have you ever considered recreating the map from Super Mario RPG?
Thank you! Yess I have, after making this, Mario RPG was one of the first things I thought of! You can expect it within a month or 2.
@@Kerobyxclay Oh damn, that's awesome! Really looking forward to that.
Me too! :)

It's more practical than making a separate sprite.
Love the Bowser's Cave. Also I respect how much work you put into the Forest of Illusion hand-crafting each tree.
Thank you! It was a lot of trees, but very worth it!
Very delicate hands, nice work. Never seen polymer clay.
Woooow ,well done, sure it takes ages to do this but the results speaks for them selfes, only thing left to do is to show this to Nintendo.
I would love if they saw it!!
Absolutely amazing work!
Thank you!
this is so amazing, the best work you ever done (as everyone says) so much detail and much more, this is like my 5th time watching this!
Wow really?? Thank you!!
I really enjoy the attention to detail and overall accurateness(?) to the in-game version. Forest of Illusion's full map was a pretty great addition, too. To call this a great job would be an understatement.
Thank you very much! :)
Oh good effort! Thanks for putting alot of work into it bringing the feels back in 3d! Good shiz!
This is so awesome. Why did I not think to do this in art class back in the day.
Thank you so much :)
This video was enjoyable!
Awesome to hear :)
Love all the details! Especially the water textures😎.
Thank you!!
