I learned to drive in a Frontera; absolutely loved it and I'm really tempted to buy one again. Ours was the 2.2 diesel and the supercharger decided to break at one point. Then, 2 years later, it decided to fix itself. Witchcraft.
Honestly just go with the old "A" Frontera, it's not as luxurious, kind of underpowered, but it's a lot easier to work on and it doesn't rust away nearly as badly as all the "B" fronteras. Rear wheel arches and the frame itself behind the rear wheels, it's actually typical, i have seen a few.
Small matter .. Just like bmw , audi , MERZ , scoda , volk , if you don't interested to take care of car ...just don't own the car ...! I'm still driving the 2.2 year 1995 model ...!🎉
@@JRGGGI have 5 Frontera’s. And I cab tell you that the 2.2DTI is the best overall engine FOR FRONTERA B. Fuel consumption is great and after a chip tuning, engine makes around 160hp with is super nice and pulls really good. Btw my Frontera has a 33” M/T tires with is not light and still pulls great
You have to remember the fonterra has more than one logo you also have the Honda Passport Rodeo Isuzu the wizard and the two-door version the Amigo Isuzu

Finally a decent informative video of the frontera.

What do you mean by A-frontera?
@@JRGGG there are two Fronteras, the 1991-98 ("A"), and the 98-2004 "B" Frontera, we can call them Mk1 and Mk2 aswell, but that's more of a Ford thing
@@ThePeca1988ahh thank you. So I am going to watch for the 2.2 DTI 2000 today.. so thats not the A
@@JRGGG exactly, not bad machines, but be extremely cautious of the high pressure diesel pump (electric), and the rear end for rust
